- My friend, Daniel, very kindly sent me the Sharpie Creative Markers to try out. In this video I try them out for the very first time. I'm sharing with you how I test new art supplies as well as how I keep a record of them for future knowledge. Thanks for sharing how you test these markers. I wish that you had mentioned: 1) would you buy them and 2) what markers are they similar to that you may already own.

I'm pleasantly surprised at how opaque those are on the black gesso. I'm a sucker for that purple! Wish they sold them individually. :D

Thanks for the demo. I use sharpies, Black mostly, for lettering or marking items. I've been wanting to do some fabric lettering and saw these advertised and they arrived yesterday. I thought I'd see if there were any demos and lo and behold, your video came up. Now I'm going to give them a try. Thank you.

This is precisely what I wanted to know. The creatives look great but they seem thin, especially on the black which is concerning since they don't blend.
On a side note I'm sure the wipes have some amount of alcohol or other solvent which explains the bleeding when you used them.

One of the biggest tests will be - Do they dry out quickly, or will the last? The former paint pens from Sharpie always dried out quickly and were very disappointing(both water and oil based). I have switched to Posca because they are so reliable - but are pretty pricey. So if these last, they will be a good alternative. Thanks for sharing your experiments.
Love these markers. They come in bullet tip too. Question, love the notes about how the markers behave, but how will you find those notes a year from now? Maybe you have a great memory and know which journal they are in?? Thank you for another great video

There are sets of one black and one white. I got mine at Walmart. Set of 12 colors is $19.95. No priming needed. They layer without blending!
There is a set of bullet tip and a set of brush tip. I got both but don’t see much difference in the line they make. The bullet tip is softer than a Posca.

How long do they take to fully dry? I do autographs so I'm signing many sheets and putting them on top of each other.
A few minutes -- same as any acrylic paint marker.
Enjoyed the demo. However, I have to say I'm not much of a marker user. I have copics and poscas and probably a few more, but never reach for them.
