This is not the main issue. The issue is that California passed laws few years ago that allow illegal immigrants obtain State Licenses in almost every trade. This means that if you are a California born citizen or a legal immigrant who studied to be a Carpenter, mechanic, or a Barber or any other trade, you now have to compete with thousands more who came into this country yesterday mostly with no skills at all and willing to work in your trade for pretty much free and can GET LICENSED, which is what the wealthy liberals who run the state look for, a very cheap labor slave labor. Most of the people on the streets of California are people who couldn't compete and you'd see their numbers grew just after these laws passed. California was always more expensive but it didn't have 60,000 people on the streets and millions struggling to pay for shit before these laws were passed by this crazy state. California is done, it has no future, no fence will ever help it, the laws are pretty much against the Middle Class, their goal is to turn LA and the other major cities to be the same like the Bay Area, where you have ultra rich 100% Liberals and Slaves coming in just to work and must leave right after working hours or the Police will be there in 30 seconds to have a talk with you. Of course it won't be immediate but it will take 20-30 years more and California will be a State that will have only Ultra rich Liberal communities and slave towns.
High cost of living DOES come from state government. In order to have unions vote Democratic, you promise high retirement income. Taxes are raised to fulfill those promises. Liberal politics doesn’t allow building, farming or growing to protect a : Snail Darter ?? Fewer building, fewer jobs, higher costs ! Vote Democratic....we have OUR bests interest at heart.
I grew up here, used to be a GREAT place to live. Almost ready to retire now and will be packing my bags for a more tax friendly environment. Just with quick math I will save $13k a year in a different state because of personal income tax. Not to mention they tax your same dollar every way they can. Fuel, property tax, food tax, minimum wage at $15.00\hr. coming soon so a Big Mac will be $7.00. Bought a couple 2x4's at Lowes the other day and there was some additional tax on building material. Never ends. So long California-
I do a lot of traveling within the states throughout the year and although other states aren’t as expensive as L.A. It just isn’t the same. California is home. It’s all I’ve known, I was born here... it’s just so sad to see how much it’s turned into it’s own 3rd world country. You can be driving by mansions and within minutes you’re driving by a whole community of homeless people. The possibility of buying home seems so far off, and disease is spreading like wildfire along with rats. I can’t see why anyone would want to live here.
The weather isnt even that good. The sun will absolutely destroy your skin from 2pm to 6pm. Its unfathomable how hot it is I would start wearing and then my weat would burn causing black spots on my skin. Wild
Odd that people say they can't afford living here, meanwhile, I have been staying in California for all my life thus far and never have had an issue with it financially. My family only made 20k a year. Now I acquired my bachelor's, it's far more simpler. Seems like a group of people are trying to live above their boundaries or must be terrible with money if you can't live in Cali with just an average annual income.
Just to point out to any Californians wanting to leave. If you start voting far left politicians in the new state and flip it either it being red or moderately left leaning, your just going to create another California and the chaos will brew there too. Don’t leave unless you plan on leaving those ideals behind.

That's why I live in Tijuana, yeah I cross everyday but I pay $300 living with my parents in a big house. In California you work to pay rent instead of enjoying your money.
Who could have possibly seen this coming given CA's love of taxes, whacko regulations, lack of responsible/reasonable political leadership and rampant fiscal mismanagement? This "story" is about 10-15 years late. The state (govt) is out of control and a danger to itself and others.

My dad joined the Navy at the recruiter in Cleveland in 1942. His ship ran between San Francisco and Pearl Harbor. He loved California and never wanted to shovel snow again.
I still live in California and while it is beautiful and sunny ( in SoCal) it is very expensive and overpriced I wish it would change, not all of California is expensive obvi but there’s places that are cheap and safe
I live in Northern California, about an hour from Sac. The cost of living here is a lot lower than other CA cities (but probably higher than other comparable cities in the country) but at the same time there are significantly fewer job opportunities especially in IT (which is what I work in) since we're somewhat of a rural area. I'm sure you've heard of the Yuba-Sutter area, right?
For those of us that bought in SD right after the recession 2008-2013, the outlook is good especially with the real estate market at an all time high. For those younger millennials looking to buy their first home in todays market, good luck. It sucks to be a buyer in today's market.

But it isn’t...
kyle bolender the first wave of Californians came around 2007-2008. As for affordable housing? If a city doesn’t adapt and build for demand, this is what ends up happening. Cities should be competing for population and industry, showing the rest of the USA how its done. The first USA City to compete with other world class cities, will end up taking most of the influence and power.
Shane Willbur I agree, I moved in 2007 to the Phoenix area. But more Californians are now moving here then ever. I guess they are tired of the 5.00 gallon gas, the insane home cost and well as high property taxes, or is it the poop in the streets with the hepatitis break outs like a 3rd world country. I dunno. I do know businesses are leaving California in droves.
I was born in San Diego. My parents left there in 1985 when I was 2 because they couldn't buy a house with both there incomes. We moved to the Midwest and they bought a 3 bedroom house for $100,000. Born and raised in Detroit, then moved to Chicago, now live in LA. I love California, beautiful weather. Not every city in California is expensive. But I dont see how my partner and I will ever be able to afford a nice home here.
It's like that everywhere natives people wanna leave there state for what ever reason eventually. Lots of people wanna leave nyc for many reasons shit I wanna go to cali, beautiful mountains palm trees, weather
@@SpottedTiger89 hes talking about illegal aliens lol
The millionaires are moving in.
Yeah very true. I've been here 50 years and I am prepping to get the ----out of this soon to be Ghetto.
I’m gonna be next in line to leave this place. It hurts me because I grew up here and this will always be home no matter what, but I can’t grow here.
How people who makes less than 100k still live in California is beyond me
Roommates or live with their parents when they bought the house when California was affordable.
@@Swampertchamp True. Most of my neighbors bought their homes in the 80's. I already have one foot out the California door. Any suggestions as to wich state to consider? Anyone?
@@westcoasthustle6133 I live in the Austin, Tx area. Lots of growth, jobs, and relatively affordable! Just please vote Republican lol
@@Swampertchamp Republicans? That's a hoot. Reaganomics and Prop 13 killed local schools/communities. You point to Austin, which is the most liberal, Democratic, city in Texas as a great place to live. Hmmm...
Don't be dumb. Not everyone lives in the most popular expensive cities like the oc,La, or bay area. There are affordable homes elsewhere.
Then they move into a small town and make that place expensive to live
It’s one thing to have high taxes, it’s another thing to tax people and still rank towards the bottom in education, quality of life, and infrastructure despite those taxes. Maybe the politicians in California are corrupt and just taking our money....
NO Matter Democrat, or Republican Once they Get into Office They Smell $$$$$, and Kick Backs, from Their Buddies, than Were Screwed !!!!!
It’s the same in New York. Honestly it isn’t worth it.
Both states are liberal as shit that’s why
since you said, 'honestly' i just have to believe you...one thing different is cali keeps the snow in the mountains and new york has no real mountains
Just leave the crappy politics that caused you to leave California....in California.
Amen
Amen
It's almost like taxing the ever loving fuck out of someone makes them mad.
Lol!
Vote Democratic....we have
OUR bests interest at heart.
Sadly idiots will never learn
Everyone knows they are leaving and why .
To spread the Liberal cancer.
@Mei -mei same, i think politics are boring and a waste of time.
Not everyone in Cali are liberals.
Let’s stop believing that we are supposed to “love” California
when 1/2 of the citizens leave who will pay for all of the freeloaders? they do not want to work and refuse to work.......
Dian Adams all of us other Americans from other states
For every 10 who leave, 20 more come in....from the midwest.
If its so expensive how can they not work or make money if they dont work?
Too Whom It May Concern they get an income from the government (us). You can research it and see how much they get....it’s astounding.
@@CottageCupcake they get income for what? Who?
I grew up here, used to be a GREAT place to live. Almost ready to retire now and will be packing my bags for a more tax friendly environment. Just with quick math I will save $13k a year in a different state because of personal income tax. Not to mention they tax your same dollar every way they can. Fuel, property tax, food tax, minimum wage at $15.00\hr. coming soon so a Big Mac will be $7.00. Bought a couple 2x4's at Lowes the other day and there was some additional tax on building material. Never ends. So long California-
next you will see the news anchors quitting and moving because even their 150,000 salary wont be enough lol
great, i shall prepare a good luck leaving party for all those liars
Yea and infesting their malfeasance on the rest of the nation...
dont come to seattle... its bad here too
People is obssesed with millenials, NO ONE can pay, period!
@Craig Schultz the point mario missed entirely lolxxx
Yeah...socialism isn't cheap. Can be very expensive.
Ever travel to Sweden, Norway or Denmark???
that's why it pays to be good with your money & live with family and/or friends if possible. that way, you'll all be helping each-other out.
To many immigrants and minority’s ruining the state with Democrats doing nothing about it.
The only good thing about California is the weather. the state parks are always jam packed, the grid lock, it’s endless. 👎👎👎🦄🌈
The weather isnt even that good. The sun will absolutely destroy your skin from 2pm to 6pm. Its unfathomable how hot it is
I would start wearing and then my weat would burn causing black spots on my skin. Wild
Sunshine tax ain’t worth it
San Luis Obispo is nice, but the big cities are a mess.
The weather isn't even nice. It's way too hot and dry like 10 months out of the year
Odd that people say they can't afford living here, meanwhile, I have been staying in California for all my life thus far and never have had an issue with it financially. My family only made 20k a year. Now I acquired my bachelor's, it's far more simpler. Seems like a group of people are trying to live above their boundaries or must be terrible with money if you can't live in Cali with just an average annual income.
In my area, a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom home costs 700k median. What do you consider an "average annual income"?
Don’t move and vote the same way then folks.
Just to point out to any Californians wanting to leave. If you start voting far left politicians in the new state and flip it either it being red or moderately left leaning, your just going to create another California and the chaos will brew there too. Don’t leave unless you plan on leaving those ideals behind.
left ca in 2007 moved to vegas bought 5 foreclosures, 2019 all have been rent all that time all are paid off, that's jackpot
#BOSSMOVES 💯👌🏾
Left San Diego and California in the beginning of the year and my life has improved dramatically. Should have done it years ago.
I wish I can do this, which state are you moved to .
Same way in the state of Connecticut too
I was so excited when I planned to visit California in 2017...when I got here it was not at all what I expected, I was disappointed to say the least. Traffic!!! Don’t get me wrong I made the best out of my time there but I was so glad to come back home...I ❣️TX
People can work remote. They don't have to live in California. Facebook. GOOGLE willing to let their employees workings from home.
That's why I live in Tijuana, yeah I cross everyday but I pay $300 living with my parents in a big house. In California you work to pay rent instead of enjoying your money.
The lines to the border get busy during the weekends tho
Who could have possibly seen this coming given CA's love of taxes, whacko regulations, lack of responsible/reasonable political leadership and rampant fiscal mismanagement? This "story" is about 10-15 years late. The state (govt) is out of control and a danger to itself and others.
maybe 25 or 30 years late... better late then never..dont let the door hit ya on ya way out...making signs to direct democrats into the desert
San Diego was awesome back in 06, but I'm glad I left. I saw the writing on the wall.
California's high cost of business and housing is helping Arizona's economy boom!! Thank you, California :D
Please stay out of Arizona
Sincerely, all arizonaians
Unloaded my U-Haul in AZ five weeks ago. I have since met many other escapees from the "People's Republic," and not one regretted leaving CA. BTW, they all seem to have voted for Trump, and despise Obama & the Clintons. Now I have to buy myself a gun belt.
1 out of every 8 people in the US lives in California so it's too overcrowded. So it's great to see people are moving out...I wish tbem the very best
yup, buenes suerte mi amigos
Lived in San Diego when in the navy, and after 2 ships, "C" Scol, and shore duty, I got the hell out of there and traded coast to stay away from the state of fruits, nutz and flakes. Told my relatives out there they could see me the next time they returned to home (OHIO).
My dad joined the Navy at the recruiter in Cleveland in 1942. His ship ran between San Francisco and Pearl Harbor. He loved California and never wanted to shovel snow again.
Good for you, Mike!
When I first moved to DFW you’d meet people and they’d be from all over.. starting about 5 yrs ago, everyone you meet here moved here from California.. including my husband
Did work out there several times. I really like it over there. It's so clean and the people of Texas are nice
and dont forget the taxes
I hate when California residents leave their problems when they made it to be like that. Don’t even try to change other states but California does have a high cost of living..
Jadden yeah because other hipsters from different states mostly people thinking that they can try to make it big either on youtube or Hollywood moving to LA, SAN DIEGO OR SF fuck it up for the rest of us.
efrain garcia now that’s true
Beyond Tribalism ok :)
I've been here a year lol and my flight leaves at 11:45 AM tommorow, its been real. Hands down the best weather, scenary, taco trucks and job opportunities (tech). Cool to visit not somewhere i could be long term tho.
Nope!!! We here in Colorado are all full. Stay out and DEFINITELY LEAVE YOUR LIBERAL VOTES THERE!!!!!
Colorado isn't full enough.
The sarcasm is real with this comment! 😅
The small talk after newscasters are done presenting their story always makes me lolz.
I'm seeing lots of California license plates all over the southeast.
Yea I've been seeing alot over here in Texas
Well Mars is the Next Place, we Can Migrate TO, Takes about 6 months to Get there, Only 1 Little Problem, Can't go Outside, There is NO AIR " OXYGEN" And Space Suits Cost Millions WOOPS Better Move to AZ. our Arkansas !!!!
What sucks is they are bringing their views to where ever they end up. So people need to watch out for the snakes cause they are coming.
Californians are leaving more than ever. I keep seeing so many CA license plates.
cars have licence plates but people are from many different places to begin with..maybe the folks you see riding in cali cars are from bumfug egypt for all you know
Honestly good!!!! We have way too many people in California especially in LA and especially in the Bay Area
Stay in California!! Don’t California my Arizona!!!
kyle bolender too late. Arizona is going blue. Deep blue.
Nonso Okonkwo hepatitis state, 3rd world state, homeless state.. haha I can go on all day.
Jeff Lombardi only in your dreams. Arizona still has low taxes, affordable housing, lots of job opportunities and open carry gun laws... hahaha all conservative traits!! Now if it had power outages (like 3rd world countries, aka California) hepatitis breakouts, a 1/4 of the population on welfare (CA), poop in the streets, then I would say it was turning blue.
California has always been too expensive, it's like you pay for the good weather there. You get way more for your money elsewhere.
California with half the people? I can't wait. It will be nice! (except for the leaders, of course)
ha, the leaders? are half assed already
Only to vote those same high costs in the state they move into
Could they have gotten a more boring person to interview. That guy that moved to phoenix was literally inaudible.
Lol it was very boring
I left due to many of things not just high rent but the immigration issue and crime mainly I refuse to live with. So I moved North, away from the ruckus and riff raff, in so many nice words. We actually have to work and make a living up North here and don't allow outsiders to just come in and mooch off the rest of us.
I think that was the wrong move. You don’t move north, you move away from the west coast. Moving north is only a temporary fix.
I am leaving California as well. Living cost is expensive.
If people making 100k can’t even afford a house, who is buying houses? Foreigners?
Chinese they buy cash while the regular American goes for a home loan
Jenny Winter duh-these foreigners r rich while the average American is losing their middle class status
@@jennywinter3025 how they get the cash in the first place?
Ca was always overated i went there in the mid 60's to check it out to move and realized it was a shit hole with bad weather in most of the state cool to cold nights in the winter rain also in winter summer very hot so i picked fort Lauderdale better in everyway
When are Californians going to say, "ENOUGH!!"
A group of insiders at an oval table all dressed up wearing a suit and tie laughing at these kids complaining that socal is too expensive and that they want to leave.
They say: "its working" bye bye lol :) Let me wipe your tears. Aren't they precious. lol
I just moved to the Bay Area from Maryland. It is beautiful and I love it but it’s just too much money. I might be able to pull three years here and move back out.
Please don’t come to Colorado. Thank you.
Too late for that i think now.
Too late
Too late. It's already Calirado.
Most of my family is here. Sometimes I wish I did live else where. It’s a sacrifice when you don’t really know how to start elsewhere and no family
California is a wonderful place but people act like nothing else exists. Build more fun and diverse cities. I myself am white and no shade to my people but I don't like living in completely homogenous areas, I enjoy diversity. It's cool, it's fun, it's interesting. I can't afford California but Louisiana is pretty up and coming and it's more of a melting pot than we get credit for.
Nothing new we want to leave my son already did. The way I see it there is no future here for the young sad.
And my son wants to move there. I keep sending him stuff showing him what really going on in Cali. My nephew is in the Marine and he can't wait to out of Cali
Born and raised in Detroit, then moved to Chicago, now live in LA. I love California, beautiful weather. Not every city in California is expensive. I know for a fact in Bakersfield you can get a nearly new house for 300k. You just have to shop in the right cities. Now admittedly my fiance and I make over 300k but I would have never moved here without a high paying job.
Stay out of Michigan!
