The first woman got a 2br for 1 person. The second woman got a 4br for 3 people. There's an obvious cut in spending right there! Don't get more space than you need! Secondly, if the government wants to help, cut the BS and just tax less. It's that simple.
So easy to say when you have the money to probably afford a $1 Million dollar home. Don't pass judgement. Karma might be coming for you very soon and you could end up in the same predicament.
Simplistic thinking. There are virtually NO 1 br apt/homes. They are the first to go. Same for 3 br. These women did the best they could to stay housed and I admire them for it.
When Las Vegas was a casino only city people got paid less and everything was cheaper. Now living in Las Vegas is expensive and $25 dollars isn't enough
Hmm how about you lower many taxes the following is just 1 example. My sister bought a house in ca the same time i moved to Nevada we spent the same ammount on the house but she pays around 20k in house taxs along nad 5x the insurance cost. While i pay just 2200 a year in property tax.
PGE rate increases continue, like every 6 months they are requesting a rate increase and the increases are always approved. PGE continues to send letters like every couple months that youre using too much, but because they created a tier, it pushes you into the higher rates, even when cutting back, it sucks!
Because they're focusing on school so they can better themselves and not end up like their mom. Plus, she can't rely on her children's income because sonner or later they'll be leaving the nest and what is she going to do after that?
@@Salz88if the twins aren’t working then they should be. I worked & went to school at the same time. Mom is in trouble, she’s on tv telling the whole world so.
The "help" from the CA state legislature simply causes a business exodus or higher consumer prices. Meddling with the free market is a recipe for disaster, but hey, it gives the politicians and state workers job security.
It really is too much to live in California anymore. Seems like the only ones who can are those with big tech jobs. Taxes are off the charts. Legislation needs to come to grips with reality.
We ain't seen nothing yet on tax increases to both business, homeowners and working class of CA - someone has to pay for all the free healthcare to non-citizens, and someone has to pay for all of the housing vouchers for those who should be working like the rest of us.
There are options. Complaining and claiming entitlement are not the answer. Move to the Midwest, get a roommate. Read about the owner of AirLease who fled communist Hungary with nothing and is now a billionaire.

Agree. We live on 28sqm for 2 people.
Less cleaning and it’s actually really nice.
@2:28 if those 18 year olds are done with school and aren't disabled, they can help out.
I know plenty of people that literally live at their job. They work 70 to 100+ hours a week and still wouldn't be able to afford anywhere to live.
The Homeowner's Exemption on property taxes has not changed in over 40 years- a mere $7000.00. It needs to be increased and adjusted annually.
Forcing businesses to pay more in wages will cause even more inflation

This doesn’t affect those who are able to outsmart the government when filing their taxes.

CA state government doesn't do anything to improve the lives of Californians. They just make life harder.

We all need help with housing costs!
Would caution about too excessive a response in terms of making things too difficult for business, especially small business. It

No thought given to sharing their place for rental income?
It’s called removing building permits.
TY, Senator Padilla (D) in CA!
cut gov't spending!!! that's part of the problem!! too much spending and too much inflation!!
The government needs to review what the term low income means.

If we all agree to stop paying the bank loans and say these are our house now this is our land we can collapse the whole fn thing.
Never finance anything if you can help it & find some good & responsible roommates with a recession proof job or jobs!
A lot of this is the result of the eviction moratorium stupidity. Lot of landlords got knocked out or quit.
Easy solution. Learn skills high in demand and find a new good paying job or move to a smaller and cheaper home.

wow california is a popular state. whoda thunk!?
Yes - that’s EXACTLY what California needs - MORE government……….😂
Maybe people should protest the federal reserve instead of “abortion”
yeah they're the real problem running that money printer. crazy we work for money, the govt makes it appear from thin air
The politician answer to every problem (except retirement): Screw over Americans on Social Security
SHE SHOULD TELL THEM SHE IS A MIGRANT !!!
SHE WILL GET EVERYTHING THEN !!!

It’s the Rethuglicans that won’t increase minimum wage.
The other states aren’t any better
No dearth of money for Ukraine, though. Splendid USA.
