Eley is the #1 Olympic Gold medal winning ammo in the world. Its mostly used in bolt action match rifles. The brass is thinner for the match chambers. They are now making ammo for semi autos. Today the Tenex Red box is around $20 dollars + ammo. There are many reasons why Eley cost so much. One being they us real bees wax as the lube. Remington was paying Eley to market ammo for them. I believe what they are boxing for Remington is a lesser grade of Eley. If you use Eley in your semi auto I would Buy the ammo made by them for semi autos.I will never shoot anything but Eley Red box in my match rifles. Thanks for the video 👍
@@paullowell3342 I really didn't get the best response from Bergara to be honest. I sent their mag back w/ a letter explaining my displeasure w/ their customer service and to keep the terrible mag as I would never use it again. I received a new mag shortly after in the mail. There was no response from them in the package, so I guess they considered it resolved. They said the Bentz chamber was supposed to be for precision ammo only. I say hogwash!!!
@@InfoNotWars The Bentz chamber is considered a match chamber for 22 semi autos. Bergara even mentions this in their advertising and states that the chamber and firearm are designed for standard velocity match ammo. Below is the excerpt directly from the Bergara sales brochure or advertising, As you can see it plainly states it is designed for standard velocity or match grade ammunition. "The BXR rimfire rifle is manufactured with a Bentz chamber. The Bentz chamber was specifically created for use in semi-automatic rimfire that desire match level accuracy. Because it is a tighter chamber than the standard sporting chamber found on many entry level semi-auto rimfire rifles, it is designed to run optimally with standard velocity or match grade ammo. Shooting high velocity, stingers or inexpensive bulk ammo may result in inconsistent feeding." Basically if you are not willing to use the firearm in the manner it was designed to be used and recommended by the manufacturer do you think it may be part of the reasons you may be having issues? I have seen where other users have adjusted on the spring tension in the factory magazine and eliminated the feeding issues.
@@billwiley7216 I have only used CCI standard velocity or match ammo when I had the issues. The mag was sent back and they sent another as it was indeed a mag issue. thank you
Let's buy an expensive Precision rifle and optic and shoot the shittiest ammo we can buy to see how accurate the rifle is. Yeah that makes perfect sense. You can have a $15k custom made rifle and it's not gonna shoot worth a damn with Remington ammo. You learned absolutely nothing

I didn't know all that. Thank you very much
I believe that rifle has a match chamber, which is where you may be getting your ammo blowout issue and possibly your case feed issue.
Would like to see SK ammo, thanks
If I could find some!
During your early use of this Bergara BXR, did you ever experience the bolt sticking?
No, just a magazine issue, which was resolved by Bergara.
I’m having the same issues with mine. It’s very particular. Doesn’t like the bulk box cheap stuff What did Bergara say to you?
