The only thing I would add would be a Junk Winder you create/have enough cards that generate you tokens Junk Winder just seems like it should be an auto include. Other then that I love the deck as someone who is building his own Lord of the Nazgûl deck this has giving me inspiration
Cool Deck. I like your choices. I'm working on a Nazgul version with "Sauron, the Dark Lord" as its commander. Totally forgot about "Changeling Outcast", which fits perectly into the deck. One card to consider could also be "Blade of Selves". Because of nine Nazgul it should be easy to have one on board. Equipping the sword to it tempts you two times on attack and because of at least three Nazgul on board all your Wraiths are getting at least +6/+6. It also creates some tokens for the bats and you could use it on the "Ringwraiths" to give something -6/-6 (or to burn your opponents) too.
Not enough wraiths, but it has blue, just run clones :P (especially the ones that can potentially let you double up on your commander) there are a few that let you copy your own as an instant/sorcery which has synergy with your commander.
Nice, i made a decklist for this but i totally forgot about mirkwood bats. To add to your video i think with all the card draw cantrips stuff like reliquary tower and thought vessel would be nice adds. Lier gives your instants and sorceries flashback, and grima allows you to cast opponents' spells for free. Gandalf friend of the shire gives sorceries flash. Haughty Djinn, Baral, and arcane melee lower the cost of instants and sorceries. Cover of darkness and levitation allow your wraiths to get in more easily. Finally metallurgic summonings, sedgemoor witch, murmuring mystic, and talrand give you more tokens. Plus if you want to copy instants or sorceries since youre casting them anyway, jin gitaxias progress tyrant and storm of saruman are also nice adds.
I just got done with my first playthrough, I took a different route with 52 cards that will trigger his ability. It was great using things like Merchant Scroll to go find a Pongify to clear the way. Can be a little slow to start in a faster meta though.
Agree. Running a bunch of cheap counter, removal and card draw spells creates so so many Wraiths while protecting your board and clearing the way for attacks. Anything beyond 3 cmc (especially a permanent) needs to bring A LOT of value to keep up with what you can do with 1/2 mana spells that create a 3/3 Wraith for you.
I built wraith tribal with 9 Nazgul and it really pops off quickly. I used a bunch of Clones to make more Nazgul (Changelings make Wraiths, so don’t generate the counters.) Anyway, after playing the deck a few times I am definitely taking the Ringwraith’s out. If it returned the card to the battlefield I would keep it, but spending 6 again in a Cantrip deck is too steep. Flavor wise I have The One Ring in the deck too, but upkeep damage adds up quick, especially when you’re not drawing more cards, so I will probably change it out too.
The Ring Tempts You is a proliferate trigger that adds +1/+1 counters, and they stack. I have quickly had over 10 counters on my Wraiths and then they become base 9/9. I’ve had a lot of fun with them, especially with a bunch of Clones and clone effects to make more Nazgul. I would argue that they are actual good cards when you build around them.😉
I actually like Ringwraiths in my deck. Whenever you attack with your ring bearer, you end up drawing and discarding a card. If you discard the Ringwraiths, you get it back the next time the ring tempts you. Basically, your ring bearer gets, "draw a card when this creature attacks." I also have a soft spot for Squee, Goblin Nabob, in my Anje Falkenrath deck.😊
@@PubStompMTG I know I know, but, hear me out. 3 mana for a body with deathtouch and pump or fact or Fiction (with lord of the nazgul out), an evasive body (3/3 menace) and card advantage at instant speed. Removal spells gets also get an evasive body, cantrips, tutors. I'm not saying an spell is superior every time, I'm saying 9 copies seems excessive when you have dope spells to cast for 3 mana, most of the time instant speed. Pumping the team seems cool but how much do you need when they already get to 9/9? Wouldn't it be better to remove a blocker? To draw? Seems more flexible than a pump. I don't know, just brewing here.
box toppers, mh... nah. I think cantrips, cardadvantage and selection should be the main concept with this cast trigger from the Commander. A decent mix from all mana values should suffice. Protecting your Board and keeping those Wraiths charging in is important aswell. I wouldn't play 'Sauron, the Necromancer' since he's more a Creature focussed guy. I'd like my recursion engine to be spellbased since it'll trigger the Lord and there's plenty of options. I would choose to clone the Nazguls with non-creature clones such as Quasiduplicate or similar to gain even more as 9 of them. +1/+1 Counter Stuff is not really supported in U/B. but theres stuff like The Ozolith or Sword of Truth and Justice or Herald of Secret Streams plus a ton of proliferate engines which play into the big picture. Repeatable Ring Tempting should be a priority aswell to pump up the team even further. A lot of stuff that's supporting tribal mechanics isn't eligible in our colors and you have to pick cherries for a decent package. Kindred Discovery, the new Pact of the Serpent, Haunting Voyage and Metallic Mimic - would be my suggestions.
Nice vídeo, thanks for it ! What about spells to copy the nazguls or the lord it self ? Maybe some sakashima cards ? There are cards like the “mimic mask” or maybe Orvar ? We also could use “Mystic reflections” tangerina nazgul 😊
Great video man 👍
I appreciate it!
This Nazgûl art is sick!
Very true!
I love everything about this deck!
Its a fun one to consider!

Now, this is a cool card. As you can see I love the nazgul so i want this card
I can see! Its in your name

Standardize seems like a great combo piece for this commander. :)

I want to add, I discovered your channel pretty recently but I love everything I've seen so far
Hey, thanks for sharing some of your thoughts! Im glad you have enjoyed it!

Good to know! Thanks for the feedback!

That makes sense. Thanks for sharing your insight!
i will noy incllude the 9... they are inferior cards and would like to add 9 actual good cards instead

Suddenly rite of replication seems like a craterhoof behemoth 💀
😳😳😳😳
Thank you for your Video - i play this - and i play Balins Tomb in my Deck :)
Nazgul in Turn 2 :)
Honestly while flavor wise having 9+ wraiths in the deck is so cool, I rather cantrip or something else that creates a token.
That's a good way to go about it. But each time one of them do go on the battlefield, they will put 1/1 counters on each wraith including the tokens.

Those are all fantastic! Yeah i put some sakashima, clone cards in there
In a standard non-commander deck do you run 4 Mirkwood bats
Maybe, depends on how much tokens you are producing
What about "Witch King, Bringer of Ruin"?
Its just not good haha
@@PubStompMTG fair. I would also fix the deck list maybe, since Three rings for elven kings didn't work (see that other comment)
"Box toppers are going to be CHEAP!" 😂😂 urborg=27 Dead marshes=57
Well some definitely are and some aren't😅
I wanna play mtg just so I can play these cards lol . Got 1 in a 2 of the packs I got.
Very cool!
And the crazy thing is I already have all these cards in my bulk! Well guess im building a new deck then 😎
Very nice!!
@@PubStompMTG also should note... for extra spice reflections of littjara will make this deck REALLY get out of hand real fast!
Im building so much decks with lotr🤣
