I think that water got into the air blower through the cowl vent grille because of the leak under the windshield. Due to the low temperature, water froze and ice stopped the air blower. I removed the fan and heated it in a warm room. There was a glass of water inside :), now it works fine.
Mine died a few days ago on me, worked again on high speed but then again decided not to. I’m getting to work earlier tomorrow so I can take it apart quick and check

Everything works in my Audi 2010 a3 except the defroster on the dashboard. Does anyone know what it could be? I can hear the blower on.. but nothing comes out on the dashboard to defrost the windshield. But the heat and the ac works fine in the vents facing us.
Thank you. Mine stopped working - took it all apart and gave it a spin. Back to working before the frosty weather comes backs.
