When I was a kid, we neighborhood kids would play bionic, complete with all the sound effects. I'm 52 now and still a kid at heart and will sometimes playfully make the bionic sounds when I have to lift something heavy or do anything that requires a lot of physical effort, especially when I'm around my brothers who used to watch the shows with me.
I’m glad you still make the bionic sounds! It makes getting thru difficult tasks (lifting/moving) a better experience!
Haha, I just made this joke (online) with a female friend when she was talking about being "bionic." I'm praying she is old enough to get it lol.

I was ADDICTED to the Bionic Woman show back in the 70s. Every Wednesday night without fail at 8:00pm on channel 7 I would be glued to the set to watch the Bionic Woman. I had a big crush on her,my walls had her posters on them as well as Wonder Woman Linda Carter, Police Woman Angie Dickinson and Charlie's Angels Farrah Jaclyn and Cheryl.The best era for me the 70s. THANK YOU for this EXCELLENT video. Keep up the good work. As usual ! Also I am addicted to the Bionic Woman in a GOOD way, not a bad way.

The 79s were awesome. She is a legend along wirh Lynda Carter.
There's a great comic book mini series called "Wonder Woman '77 meets the Bionic Woman", check it out. Published by Dynamite/DC comics. The mini series is amazingly respectful and we learn what would have happened if there would've been a crossover of their TV shows.
PS You can easily read the comic book WW/BW crossover online for free before you decide to buy it. There's at least a couple good websites for free comic book viewing. Enjoy!

I watched this show growing up..I am watching it right this minute..and I am cracking up because they play the bionic music while she runs...but she's not running any faster than normal..just running in slow mo at normal speed. lol Used to love this as a kid!.
Funny how as adults we notice different things about the special effects that as a child we were amazed by!

You have to admit the creativity is brilliant. To show the opposite with sound effects, is beyond imagination.
There was a few times they showed them running at super speed but was probably from the movies that came out later when the effects was possible

There was a remake made several years ago, but it didn't last long. It simply lacked the charm, idealism, and fun of the original Bionic Woman.
@@TheVeritas1 I recall Lindsay saying as much - that yes, the effects were so much better, but the story was just too dark. She'd always made a point of insisting that Jamie would only use her powers defensively, so she wasn't punching people out and so forth. But of course, it was a different time.
Just loved this as a 10 year old girl my mom liked it too. Was my top fav e show. Lindsay Wagner was my first tv hero .
I love how she's supposed to be running at 50 mph, but the physics don't line up to her hair and clothes. LOL!
I still watch this today matter of fact l grew watching this TV show a classic they don't make them like this anymore

I certainly don't recall all the show moments but one I still remember to this day was when she was in her apt. and broke a can opener and used her fingernail to open a can of tuna! haha

Didn't know anything about this show, was reading death stranding wiki and came across Lindsay Wagner's past works. This seems like a pretty cool show.
Yeah, it was her break thru role, before she went on to do tv movies and now she conducts meditation workshops. She also does meet and greets at Sci Fi conventions.

They used to be free online on the NBC.com app. They no longer have them, but they do have all episodes of the Six Million Dollar Man. Also Amazon Prime allows you to purchase the first season online.

@@user-mg6vx9fy3e yes you’re right! Watching it as an adult now it seems so simple. However, I do admire the actual stunt work that went into the effects. Unlike the cheap CGI we see today that requires no physical effort.
