It's interesting that we see a sign advertising Buddy Hackett and Tina Turner. By that time Tina had separated from Ike Turner and was trying to launch a solo career. She did a run of shows at Caesar's Palace in 1977, along with touring wherever she could get gigs, and appearing on TV shows like Hollywood Squares. She had virtually no money, and was facing lawsuits over cancelled Ike and Tina Turner gigs, so she needed whatever money she could get.
That's quite the scene with the launch tower. In those days it would have been filmed with a crew in a helicopter. Today they'd use a drone at a fraction of the cost of hiring a helicopter.

Hollywood made Vegas seem so exciting back in the 70's. Just about every show on TV from Charlie's Angels to Nancy Drew had at least one episode set in Vegas. Prob the only show that didn't go to Vegas was The Love Boat.

I like how in 1973 they have technology straight out of Star Trek. What alien race gave them this stuff? I remember the intro to the six million dollar man. "Gentleman we can rebuilt him. We have the technology." And I'm saying. No you don't! Although what I do like about the intro to the six million dollar, is that it lists all the tech that goes into him. And it's pretty realistic. The problem is that it was at least a century ahead of it's time. Maybe closer to two centuries before it works as well as what is shown in the show. It's now 50 years later, and we aren't even close to being able to pull something like that off. And that's not because technology hasn't improved. Bionics is only in it's infancy. Something like Jamie Summer's bionic ear isn't far from a realty. And we are only now starting to experiment with the crudest versions of Steve Austin's bionic eye. Bionetic limbs like theirs, however, are a long way off.

I think she used her arm and one of her legs to combat that, it seems in both Jaime and Steve cases one bionic arm or leg alone could handle and lift 1000 or even a ton , so that was the equalizer and why they can fight head to head with those robots or in Jaime's case Fembots.

the fembots without their face but still having their eyes freaked me out as a kid. who believed Jamie would win with only one bionic arm as offense & defense against a full bionic android who doesn't feel pain. Hoping for a better reboot than last hollywood really over did it with Nanites in the 90's. with artificial limbs a reality someone must be thinking about it
