@ScizorTheOverlord so basically what you just said is what i was trying to say. Whether Mike cares about the MU or not, he's gaining experience every time he plays Rich. Whether he loses or not, he's learning what and what not to do against Olimar. Nietono may be the best Olimar, but Rich is a master of the Marth MU; I'm just curious to see how Mikehaze and his MU experience would go up against Nietono
@BaldyMcNosehair me saying i saved the closest matches doesn't mean otori won most of them? we went pretty even but they were friendlies anyway so it doesn't really matter
@SyonRyoken No, I was not. Thank you for correcting me though. And, now that I think about it, I think I recall reading Mr. R say that he just saved the closest games. So Otori won a vast majority of their matches?
@ScizorTheOverlord yes, they'd try to win, but they'd definitely take more risks and experiment, that's partly what MM's are for. they wouldn't play as intensely or safely as if it were tourney. But i do agree that Mikeneko knows this MU a lot better than Ramin. i kinda wanna see how mikehaze would hold up against nietono!
I don't like how he threw away game 2 cuz any EU marth would've dair and if anything america would've went for the safe option of fair but up b? sexy game 3 though
@ScareMl Well, M2K was playing really poorly at APEX, not that I do not think Rich Brown is a good player. It seems that he somewhat emulates Brood's play style. And in that I think he succeeds. Rich Brown is definitely comparbable to Brood though. He and Dabuz might even be better than Brood. But I not of this really matters anyway when Nietono has established himself as the best Olimar of Japan and proved himseof to be the best Olimar at APEX 2012.
I like mikeneko's use of Uthrow. I rarely see it used by other marths, it's such a shame. it gave him a nice amount of frame traps and grabs on landing.
mikeneko is better than haze and r at this match up obviously...imo no marth atm can hang with him bc he is playing this match up too good..like TOO good and haze had to pick up mk to handle RICH BROWN you think he can handle nietono....
@BaldyMcNosehair whoops. meant to say. did not. he did not play otori at apex. the match seemed to be a "serious" friendly.

@Nova9xxx Mr. R did play Otori at APEX though. The video on UA-cam is a set they played a few days before APEX.
@ScizorTheOverlord Nietono did not play either of them in tourney. The video of Nietono and Mr. R up on UA-cam was a money match before APEX.
@BaldyMcNosehair me saying i saved the closest matches doesn't mean otori won most of them? we went pretty even but they were friendlies anyway so it doesn't really matter
@Ramin249 SyonRyoken said, "those were the few matches he won." I was asking him to confirm if Otori really won most of them.
@SyonRyoken No, I was not. Thank you for correcting me though. And, now that I think about it, I think I recall reading Mr. R say that he just saved the closest games. So Otori won a vast majority of their matches?
@ScizorTheOverlord Oh, I agree that Mikeneko is better at the match up. I was only trying to clarify the situation.
@ScizorTheOverlord yes, they'd try to win, but they'd definitely take more risks and experiment, that's partly what MM's are for. they wouldn't play as intensely or safely as if it were tourney. @ScizorTheOverlord which top marth did nietono play in tourney at apex...
@Nova9xxx in case you were unaware, richbrown beat mew2king at apex 2012. brood's level? i think so...
@BaldyMcNosehair that wasnt a set. those were the few matches he won lol. Where u even there? lol.
@ScareMl im aware..but following that logic would mean r was the best at apex bc he beat otori 0_o
9:34 why? go to the other part!
let me reiterate. Those were a few of the matches he won. Its not like some straight set.
@BaldyMcNosehair correct
mikeneko had several "effective" SDs. i'm almost positive the three dumb times he died he didn't intend on dying
What's the deal with all these upthrows..? IS THIS MAYLAY?
I don't like how he threw away game 2 cuz any EU marth would've dair and if anything america would've went for the safe option of fair but up b? sexy game 3 though
I KNOW RIGHT
Mikeneko... You were so close. :/
@ScareMl Well, M2K was playing really poorly at APEX, not that I do not think Rich Brown is a good player. It seems that he somewhat emulates Brood's play style. And in that I think he succeeds. nice comeback @ last game
The Up B kill at 12:47 was sexier.
Eh, I'd say that Brood >>>> Dabuz. Brood's really been going in lately.
I like mikeneko's use of Uthrow. I rarely see it used by other marths, it's such a shame. it gave him a nice amount of frame traps and grabs on landing.
8:57 Leon would have spiked
In a way this set is kind of depressing tho: Japan still way too good ;o
mikeneko!! :)
mikeneko is better than haze and r at this match up obviously...imo no marth atm can hang with him bc he is playing this match up too good..like TOO good and haze had to pick up mk to handle RICH BROWN you think he can handle nietono....
o god that up b kill at 10:06 was sexy ****
olimar has a terrible landing. marth punishes landings like a God. bad landing + great land traps = rape.
lol first game. right away 3 purples
