You are so good at this. I tried space flight simulator and couldn't even reach moon as i always messed up orbits and didn't new what those transfer window and other terms in the game meant. Its nice seeing it being played the way it was designed too. Great job
I am new to Sfs and I am addicted to it. Since I watched your this video, it made me learn about the rocket science stuff. I wonder what if I land on Mars in sfs. For now, I have already completed crashing the surface of moon. Love your videos, keep going!
just so you know the point which your orbit or course is highest is called Apoapsis and the point lowest in orbit is called Periapsis, and a peak like when you fly to space and back is the Apoapsis bc there is no Periapsis without an orbit
Actually, the lander is only made to land on object's but you can return with lander if the lander has a Seperator you can just decouple the stage and the Atmosphere will you pod down.
Been playing this game for years and somehow never knew that different sized dockings ports were compatible. I always just assumed they had to be the same size. Very interesting and fun video!
@@samtheking5759 Well the majority of my time playing has been building up massive space stations using standardized modules, so I pretty much always used the largest docking port on all the various pieces. Also how is it obvious? That's not how it works in real life XD
4:04 lacks more statement. The fairings also protect the things inside of it from things like dust and sometimes they use it to prevent the thing to get bacterias?? But I think the 2 main purpose is really the aerodynamics and the protection from damage. Because even a speck of dust hitting the iss would damage a ballistic window, same thing for the thing inside the fairings but less worse because it is slower edit: also if you are adjusting your trajectory like in the returning to earth phase if you use your rcs and you feel like its to strong and needs it to be slower to accurately adjust it. Look at your rocket and look at the sides turn the to the side that points the most to the course and it will adjust the course more accurately if you dont understand then its ok :)
I finally made it to the moon And came back. with a stage one, and I’m actually quite proud of my. Self. 15:30 oh, and if you’re going somewhere and don’t want to come back. You could just put two heat shields on it

it takes a few weeks don't worry, the first time i crashed on the moon was on 200ms so i had to disable breakable parts now im planning to make a rocket that can complete all achivements in one lauch no refuel mission
I was once able to land on mars and get back without any expansions and my rocket design was similar to your rocket. I still had about 70% on my lander probe though.
Something similar happened to me on the moon. I landed on the moon for the first time with a very basic lander. I also had a space station in low earth orbit. So I used the station to refuel the lander and a stage that was still attached to it. Then, I flew to the moon and landed successfully but I only had 20% fuel, so I couldn’t make it back. I had an idea though. Since the lander had a single docking port on top (just like yours) I decided to make a small spacecraft with a rocket and 2 rcs thrusters on each side. I launched it to the moon successfully. But since I don’t have infinite build space, I couldn’t make two boosters with the docking port in the middle. So I had to put the docking port on top. That meant I would have to turn the spacecraft upside down and use the rcs thrusters to land and dock successfully. And after a bit of trial and error, I managed to dock it, but only with 1.3 percent fuel left in the refueling spacecraft. I managed to dock it again after a few tries, this time with 50% fuel left. That was enough to refuel the small fuel tank on the lander, and I got off the moon safely, and landed on earth. TL;DR: My lander got stuck on the moon because of low fuel and I somehow managed to refuel it with a rocket that I had to use RCS thrusters so I could land and dock it, and I got off the moon and landed safely on earth. I rote an essay 😂
