    In this Spaceflight Simulator video, we are attempting to land on venus and come back! Landing on venus in spaceflight simulator is easy. Returning from venus is much harder due to atmosphere.

    The game has changed a ton since I last played it.
    I remember when there was no re-entry heating, no staging, no heat damage, no elliptical planet orbits. When Venus was easy to land on.

    Fun fact: you don't need to orbit ( to Venus and Mars ) you only have to hit the atmosphere and not hit the ground ( 10k-20k only ) only for people who don't know

    Aerobraking is the best way to avoid overheating and slow down, just get a shallow trajectory that will get you into an orbit after 1 aerobraking pass, and then landing the next pass.

      thats what i use, i dont even heat shield. i enter with a 12 wide with 3 of those high efficiency engines

    noted. we should extend the heat shield until it's near the top of the rocket so that even if we tilt a little bit, the heat shields there will protect us. love the content!

    You can put your heat sheild on the side, it has more weight but you get more drag and you don’t trun over

    I think to avoid the atmosphere turning problem, you could put two long wings of heat shields on the top of the rocket to put most of the wind resistance on top.

      You are right, for my Venus landers i usually have a long module with heatshields on top of the lander where all the parachutes are, and then I can decouple it before launch. This makes it so that i get less drag too, since the docking ports and parachutes and stuff doesnt have to come with when I launch.

    I basically did it in F2P Landing without legs since atmosphere was burning to my ship. My trick was to use a metal command thing, Long for 3 or 2.5 but i Recommend 2 smallest fuel tanks where drone command is at the top and solar panel to balance thing out but it must be full out while landing.

    10:04 zoom in close, look at the arrow for reference, try to be as retrograde as possible. Don't let it turn from retrograde position.

    My rocket uses a similar reentry system how ever my rocket is shorter it does take some tries but eventually it does survive reentry and keep in mind my rocket does not use dlc.

    You could argue that the Jupiter 4 mission is way more difficult. It requires you to land on all 4 moons of Jupiter with one rocket.

    I’m honestly fine with the no heat damage part, because it seems like you could’ve done it with lots more time with that same rocket, but we don’t have that time.

    I have done this without infinite build space, clipping and no heat damage. BTW I used docking and saves every 30s

    Tip: for atmospheric orbit burns, it’s generally best to get high into the atmosphere, then burn sideways.

    I thing, if your rocket keeps tilting and burning in the atmosphere, you just need to add more rcs thrusters also add the rcs at the top and bottom not the middle also don’t add to many rcs because if you add to many the fuel will run out super quickly.

    You should use the Redstone Atlas capsule it has a built in parachute and heat shield plus you can put a docking port on it

    for the atmosphirical entry you got to shift the center of mass closer to the heat shields, then the rocket will be more stable.

    During re entry u should rest heat shield by titling your rocket so temparature falls on rocket then you tilt it back to heat shield right before it bursts

    you can avoid so much heat damage and friction by going a little higher where the atmosphere is less thick

    hey man quick question, are you using Space Engine Pro or the normal Space Engine? because i read it and i didnt really understand what it gives so it would be nice to know that if u do have it what it gives. [i know the video is about spaceflight simulator but it would be nice if u can answer it :)]

      space engine pro is for capturing footage and screenshots for commercial use. They are exactly the same gameplay-wise. The standard version is all you need.

    I'm currently working on a challenge where I do every single challenge in one flight. I am doing it in hard mode but my only real objective is to get one ship with all the acheivements, so I could use loads of different ships to pick up my last rocket. Also no cheats. I think you should try this!

    I did a project that starts from Earth, puts the second stage in orbit, the first stage returns to Earth, the second stage arrives in orbit of Venus, a third stage separates and lands on Venus. The third stage lifts off and docks with the second stage in orbit and both return to Earth. All this without creating debris. No cheats (realistic mode).

    Space chip: It is easy to get to venus BUT it is hard to get out from venus because it has very thick atmoshphere
