In this Spaceflight Simulator video, we are attempting to land on venus and come back! Landing on venus in spaceflight simulator is easy. Returning from venus is much harder due to atmosphere.

you mean aero-breaking
What are these comments bro
Wow, this channel is a good example of how fast a channel can grow. I subscribed when he had 8,000 subscribers and that was just a few months ago, and now he has almost a hundred thousand.
400 thousand now
Aerobraking is the best way to avoid overheating and slow down, just get a shallow trajectory that will get you into an orbit after 1 aerobraking pass, and then landing the next pass.
this is a certified ksp moment
I swear sfs players are fucking stupid
thats what i use, i dont even heat shield. i enter with a 12 wide with 3 of those high efficiency engines
Because I'm a nerd, I'm obligated to correct your year-old comment. When you use aerobraking to enter orbit, it's just called "aerocapture".
Nah just put heat shield around entire rocket. That is what I did.

Cool Idea! Love You're Vids!
noted. we should extend the heat shield until it's near the top of the rocket so that even if we tilt a little bit, the heat shields there will protect us. love the content!
You can put your heat sheild on the side, it has more weight but you get more drag and you don’t trun over
Love the video helped me a lot with my SFS Venus mission to
this guy is a noob he always does long trajectories with lots of atmosphere like this time he burned up. if u actually want to not explode do as little atmosphere as possible
@@leftclickisbeterthanrightclickatleast he didn't strand a guy on Venus like me
I think to avoid the atmosphere turning problem, you could put two long wings of heat shields on the top of the rocket to put most of the wind resistance on top.
You are right, for my Venus landers i usually have a long module with heatshields on top of the lander where all the parachutes are, and then I can decouple it before launch. This makes it so that i get less drag too, since the docking ports and parachutes and stuff doesnt have to come with when I launch.
@@vebjrnoppedal7884 That's really cool! :D The only reason that I know this is cuz I'm a SpaceX fan

Hi Space Chip Play World Box Again
Make Vulcan, a hypothetical planet in the 19th century
Hi you really helped me so much and now i know how to get to all plantes!
I basically did it in F2P Landing without legs since atmosphere was burning to my ship. My trick was to use a metal command thing, Long for 3 or 2.5 but i Recommend 2 smallest fuel tanks where drone command is at the top and solar panel to balance thing out but it must be full out while landing.

I'm a knowledgeable sfs player and ill tell you that trying to get to mercury is the hardest mission in sfs.
True, it is very hard to slow down, because it doesn't have an atmosphere
Yeah it took me a while but once you figure out gravitational assists it becomes easier
@@dudejunior1995tbh I just have an array of fuel stations in high and low solar orbit near Jupiter and Venus orbit

Correct me if I'am wrong at 9:51 I think Space chip could've fall straight when entering venus's atmosphere
Would have wasted alot of fuel.
Nop, you are correct
My rocket uses a similar reentry system how ever my rocket is shorter it does take some tries but eventually it does survive reentry and keep in mind my rocket does not use dlc.

@@Blue-nz8to I totally agree with that
You could argue that the Jupiter 4 mission is way more difficult. It requires you to land on all 4 moons of Jupiter with one rocket.
Yup
Jupiter 95 if all the moons where in game
@@Shredder_554 oh no.
@@Jipsy7969 ???????????????????????????????
@@Shredder_554 I mean to say that would Be extremely hard and the rocket that somehow will achieve it ( anything is possible in sfs ) would make the builder have a seizure making it.
This just shows how harsh Venus really is and how hard it is to get a spacecraft on it.

9:52 need to move the center of mass closer to the heat shields
Congrats on 100k subscribers 👏👏👏
Hi man I've been waiting for u to upload on sfs BTW I like ur content nice
I’m honestly fine with the no heat damage part, because it seems like you could’ve done it with lots more time with that same rocket, but we don’t have that time.
I have done this without infinite build space, clipping and no heat damage. BTW I used docking and saves every 30s
You're so good at sfs, I wish I could make rockets actually good
This guys skill is insane, I can’t even get into orbit!
Is it just me or did i randomly found the best channel ever❤
try landing on pluto plz. love your content 👊.
Pluto isn't in the game yet so he cant do that

Tip: for atmospheric orbit burns, it’s generally best to get high into the atmosphere, then burn sideways.
100k subs congrats 🎉
U deserve a subscribe, KEEP IT UP!!
I thing, if your rocket keeps tilting and burning in the atmosphere, you just need to add more rcs thrusters also add the rcs at the top and bottom not the middle also don’t add to many rcs because if you add to many the fuel will run out super quickly.
Rcs wont do anything, rcs is just for docking or linear adjustment.
@@samtheking5759 I am not sure if you are joking because RCS does help as it provides thrust, have you seen what an SFS drone looks like?
@@DefinitelyRealPerson simple solution: add heat shields to the side...
@@yorick9874 Best solution ever
You should use the Redstone Atlas capsule it has a built in parachute and heat shield plus you can put a docking port on it
But It's To Big And Heavy For The Rocket
@@User_RLP-Plays but its only 0.1 more tons than a capsule with heatshield and parachute

This video was unbelievable
Wow, this is my new favorite youtuber. You earned a subscriber
He says "One more time". Proceeds to try for another eternity
Please for the love of god keep making spaceflight simulator videos!
for the atmosphirical entry you got to shift the center of mass closer to the heat shields, then the rocket will be more stable.
During re entry u should rest heat shield by titling your rocket so temparature falls on rocket then you tilt it back to heat shield right before it bursts
you can avoid so much heat damage and friction by going a little higher where the atmosphere is less thick
Every Spaceflight simulator has weird quicksave names
Man, i never knew this guy played my favorite game
hey man quick question, are you using Space Engine Pro or the normal Space Engine? because i read it and i didnt really understand what it gives so it would be nice to know that if u do have it what it gives. [i know the video is about spaceflight simulator but it would be nice if u can answer it :)]
space engine pro is for capturing footage and screenshots for commercial use. They are exactly the same gameplay-wise. The standard version is all you need.
@Space Chip oh wow ok, thank you for your answer!
If you need it cover the Rocket in heat shields worked like a charm for me
If you ever try this again you should try to make the top of the rocket less heavy so you don’t burn up in the Venusian atmosphere
Hey just a tip ive been playing this game for years and you can add more rcs for more control
myself that still cannot landing on moon speechless watching this
9:32
that hurts my inner spaceflight simulatorer.
Best youtuber you deserve 100k good video you should try landing on diemos (a moon of mars) it's really a challenge

So close to 100k
"Depends on how much dV we need to get back". The dV is the same every single time lol I like when he acts like he knows what he's talking about.
I'm currently working on a challenge where I do every single challenge in one flight. I am doing it in hard mode but my only real objective is to get one ship with all the acheivements, so I could use loads of different ships to pick up my last rocket. Also no cheats. I think you should try this!
That's a really steep reentry trajectory...
YOU CAN DO IT SPACE CHIP! 100K SUBS IS COMING!
I did a project that starts from Earth, puts the second stage in orbit, the first stage returns to Earth, the second stage arrives in orbit of Venus, a third stage separates and lands on Venus. The third stage lifts off and docks with the second stage in orbit and both return to Earth. All this without creating debris. No cheats (realistic mode).
10:30 there was another way by using ur RCS to full push on one side instead of tryna tilt the rocket
Bro must be doing the Venera mission 💀
Space chip: It is easy to get to venus BUT it is hard to get out from venus because it has very thick atmoshphere
