Overhaul as a quirk is just insanely broken, I'd go so far as to say it's definitely among the strongest quirks in the verse (not at the very top, but close). It can be applied to so many things, I mean just imagine if Overhaul went into medicine, he could have fixed All Might or All For One without an issue.
He honestly could do that anyway with just a picture of AFO to restore his face, and only needs a rough estimate of All-Might’s organ sizes. That’s why when he healed the thugs none of their cavities or anything else was there because Overhaul didn’t know anything was wrong with their teeth or if they had infections. So he just rebuilt them without it.
He had such potential.
Could he? If the Quirk only rearranges matter, can he create new organs? Can he create new eyes for All for One's example?

@@haydenberends3905tbh what overhaul did could probably be done in fmab. Like, he didn't do anything with the Nemoto's soul, so it's not like he ignored equivalent exchange, he simply killed him and then used his corpse's matter. Kinda like a chimera
technically overhaul is dr marcoh. he has been transmuting/rearranging living tissues even without the philosophers stone
Nemoto's deeper voice combining with Overhaul's really is a perfect way to have him have a normal person voice originally, when talking to other people, but when he becomes the monster he truly is his voice starts matching who he is.

It's really irritating how she just doesn't seem to understand the anime. Not only does she have no feel for important scenes and chatters in the moment, he stares at her the whole time, commenting on her every facial expression with an explanation of what's happening in the anime.

There are honestly two other episodes later this season that are on its level, imo. Season four really kicked it into high gear.

It's more of a fusion than a transformation that Overhaul went under.
I find it interesting how a lot of people forget nighteye can only look into one persons future per day. And that he looked into his own future.

@@deltashard7980 The only other time we see Foresight is for the puzzle at the start, and he just probably had good memory. It is clear he used it on Overhaul, because he got in, grazed his arm, then it showed his quirk being activated.

I rewound the Never Let Her Go scene in the next episode probably 5 times yesterday when I watched the episode for the first time. I was blown away by it. Stunning scene.

I don't know if someone said it already but, overhaul is a germaphobe, the red spots are meant to be hives, and whenever he feels dirty, he views quirks as a kind of disease, so when he tries to use his quirk, he feels unclean thus developing hives. Therefore His ultimate goal is to cure all of the population by totally getting rid of quirks/powers and as a side effect, believes that the Yakuza would be feared again, just like when no one had quirks

I dont think sir just fills in the blanks, im pretty sure that the way he sees everything like it's a film, and the way it showed the film cutting off when he is looking at dekus future means he died, since there's nothing else to see of his future

So, in the manga, we don't see the film reel ending, just a black panel with no film before it. That's an anime mistake because it implies that Nighteye is looking at Deku's future, but he's looking at Chisaki's. He supposedly only gets 1 a day and he already was looking at Chisaki's for their fight. So he saw from Chisaki's perspective, killing Deku, grabbing Eri and getting away
Overhaul's Quirk is so cool, and has so much potential. He could have been an AMAZING surgeon, or architect, or both. But decided to be a huge POS instead.
That's cause he got found by the head of a yakuza group as a kid, so he grew more interested in that world, snd got sucked in by it, a lot like how.if Tomura was helped instead of being found by Afo, maybe he would've turned differently

I don't think it's unfair to say that Overhaul using Confession on Eri might be the most EVIL thing anyone does in this show.
I know that sounds crazy when we've seen what characters like All For One or Endeavor have done (and, for the former, will continue to do), but forcing Eri to say those things just to discourage Midoriya just PISSES ME OFF! Overhaul is an AMAZING villain.

That old Yakuza leader saved Overhaul, and how does he repay him? By murdering, torturing, and resurrecting his granddaughter over and over again.
That is pure evil.
Torturing a little girl to death over and over is bad enough, but he's doing that to the granddaughter of the man who saved him.
Yeah well, that makes ir worse, but the fact he is doing it in the first place is the worst thing Iverhaul does, regardless of whom Eri is related to
Overhaul is a JERK!!! Also, I could never get behind Nighteye with the way he doesn't believe in Deku. I cannot wait for Sunday's episode. It's a personal favorite. Let's not lose faith in Deku!

Well we just got through watching one symbol throw everything he has at Overhaul, now it’s time for the one hand picked by All-Might to really get moving. The longer this goes, the more we need to just get everyone out to a doctor, a therapist, and a LOOOOONG nap.
Toga and Twice’s role to Overhaul’s crew is revealed. It’s definitely not covert assignments he needed. He needed them to cast doubt on the crew with their surroundings and be a distraction to hunt and chase instead of Overhaul. But the league is not why they are here. Aizawa doesn’t call off Deku I assume because it’s better to have him where he can be seen and Aizawa is DEFINITELY needed where Overhaul specifically is. (Aizawa might be injured but considering he survived the 1st Nomu, I can see why he’s pretty much unbothered.)
Rocklock is DONE. He had JUST finished his last reminder and likely wanted to use all his quirk energy to lock Overhaul down by his clothes or something. But he’s used all his quirk energy and has a pretty serious injury. So he can’t go after the final boss here. All he can do is wish them the best. And now that we know he’s a new father MAN does that make all his cut ins with snark and calling the students kids that shouldn’t hear the whole story of Overhaul’s inner workings makes A LOT more sense. (That baby is so unimpressed) But now that they’ve made it this far all he can say is they made it this far and have done more than the fully grown pros. So he acknowledges them as heroes even with his absolute drive to protect them as kids. He’s legit.
And then they burst into the field with Overhaul finding a literal pile of the rest of the minions. And since he’s still clearing the field, he can’t move his hand fast enough to block Deku rushing in and EVERY quirk opponent he DOES NOT WANT relatively unharmed coming at him. But with his ace in the hole being Chrono, he has to weed every last INCH in what is now HIS 4 on 1. The MOMENT Aizawa blinks he wipes the field trying to hit everything…but if he can’t do that, he’ll settle for Chrono going to deal with Aizawa unable to see him and his quirk being unaffected. And Chrono? Has the erasure hero when they want to delete quirks. Aizawa is invaluable to them as a resource.
Overhaul reveals his last trick. While materials ARE important for Overhaul, him in a steel and concrete room is nowhere near as dangerous as merely leaving a person by him. And he commits the ultimate taboo of human transmutation. And there is no portal of truth to balance what he gains. And he doubles his muscles, his organs, his bones, his nerves, and makes himself a monster. And being buff in this world ALREADY has SEVERAL insane effects. If he’s only slightly taller, he still has a TON of leftover body to work with and compact it all over him. The body itself has crazy power but BOTH quirks are on the table too. And he just has to taunt not just Mirio, but in a way that’s derailing to Nighteye his loving teacher, Eri watching her hero crumble into a mess, and Deku who is trained to be a symbol as well and is learning from him.
Deku is NOT having it and is using concrete/steel spikes as easily breakable weapons when they needed a whole special move shout before. And Overhaul reflects the weapon pointed at him to nothing and IMMEDIATELY be rebuilt as aimed at Deku when he goes in for a kick. But Nighteye calls him off. RIGHT as Deku is starting to gear up his speed. Deku is starting to evolve in real time here.
Nighteye vs Overhaul is one of this season’s underrated greats I just don’t hear people give much appreciation for. It is spectacular. He’s not blowing away Overhaul like Rappa so he’s using his seals at speeds where he can dodge but so his movements can be predicted away from putting his hands on the ground. And if he’s close? Overhaul won’t make the field full of spikes. And he wouldn’t feel the need to with all these new muscles and bones. I’m going to assume he wants a point blank full power throw to the head with his seals because Overhaul is shown to just heal off any damage done to himself. He even WELCOMES Overhaul to taunt him because that’s what helps delay any lethal strikes as well because Overhaul wants to make you mentally unstable. But Nighteye flips the script showing his hypocrisy and true fear buried under the surface. He’s afraid of Mirio to use one of his 5 deleters. And we saw Overhaul literally PANICKING for the short time Aizawa had him erased. Desperately swatting the floor hoping for an effect. And since Nighteye hasn’t touched Overhaul, he reveals his best trick of EVERYTHING Foresight offers. He uses Foresight on himself. And if that ISN’T what he did, he DOESN’T NEED CONTACT. He essentially has NO shackles on his quirk and even MORE self imposed rules he leaves for the biggest issues. Because if it’s any or MULTIPLE of these as he does his 1 second glances, his ONLY true limitation is EYE CONTACT. So he has Aizawa’s level quirk. (Hence why I have this quirk at #9.) He can LOOK at you and strip you of your free will and keep you from inventing yourself. (So I guess the guy WANTING to be an optimist but has one of the most pessimistic quirks is the restriction)
And when there’s no free will, life has no variance but a ticking time bomb of our life ending. And THAT is what Nighteye so DESPERATELY wants to avoid giving anyone. And unfortunately he comes across his worst case scenario. The difference between true speed and reaction speed has been laid bare for his setup. And he can only move his body so much out of the way out of big moves as he just simply can’t physically move that fast regardless of his reaction speed. The death bell literally rings as he sees an IMMEDIATE future. And it’s all he can do to avoid getting heartbroken and wracking his skull. Which Overhaul intended to do when he stabs him. Which considering the speed of the spike creations is a MASSIVE dodge to avoid getting hit in the head and heart by that much when it looks like Overhaul literally wanted his head on a PIKE but only got his arm for such a massive move. (That’s where his head WAS when Overhaul made the spike, and he stood more upright to not get hit in the heart.) He just guaranteed the death of not just All-Might, but now his chosen successor he has actively sought for his quitting of using OFA to pass to Mirio. Causing Deku nothing but distress in his final days.
Deku of course just doesn’t hesitate to finally show HIS medal as the symbol and after all he’s seen has forced his body to the next level. It was starting to show when he ripped the spike with ease, and it’s about the same thickness as the walls he had been punting through with Kirishima. But here is a wind rush release of energy that makes a BIG ENOUGH CRATER TO MAKE THE GROUND INTO A SHIELD FROM OVERHAUL’S SPIKES AFTER THEY WERE ALREADY BEING CREATED HURDLING TOWARDS HIM. And based on what I see AFTER that all of Overhaul’s moves seem easier for Deku to process, and while it LOOKS like Overhaul makes a plateau for himself, THAT WAS DEKU MAKING 20 FEET OF THIS GROUND RISE UNDER OVERHAUL (Overhaul did not touch the ground) HE AIMED THAT ENERGY RELEASE. His braces are frying off from the heat where he doesn’t properly control/stabilize the energy (what the energy doesn’t protect gets VERY hot. That’s why All-Might can ignite the air and Deku burns Bakugo’s arm) and he’s just EFFORTLESSLY shattering the ceiling that explodes on impact. This is a MASSIVE increase. Not just in speed but power as well.
20% is Deku’s official new stockpile level. So you know what that means! MORE MATH. Deku’s 8% level was moving 147 mph up til now, but now that 20% is his new level, the 8% changes too because there’s more energy stockpiled. The energy level increases with his max control. So to do the same thing I did when Deku went from 5 to 8% against Bakugo, here you go. 20/8=2.5, 2.5*160=400. And you take from the 400 for any % 20 or below as long as this is his max control. So his new 8% level from here on out is 368 mph (32 of 400 is 8%) and his 20% in this fight is Mach 1.2. (80 of 400 is 20%. He’s already VERY close to his Mach 1.5 100% demonstrations in season 1 and 2 let’s put it THAT way.) I thought I was seeing just wind rushes, but we’re actually seeing him cause sonic booms at this level. And his new 100% would be clocking at Mach 6 now, up from Mach 2.4. I left out the last upgrade. All the numbers and speeds still align with these insane feats.
Mirio’s whole world is falling apart now though. His boss and mentor was scewered right in front of him. He’s lost his quirk that he trained so hard to cultivate into being an inspiration, his body is failing him from the pain he’s endured, and he can’t even keep Eri in his arms as he collapses, and Eri is HORRIFIED watching those that give her any comfort they can fall apart. And she’s even FORCED to CONFESS that straight to Overhaul. (Confession wouldn’t be very helpful if you didn’t answer the person asking directly now would it?) And Overhaul doesn’t even bother making a promise to restore anyone when she asks for that condition to return. And they HAD to show us a point where Overhaul kills her and restores her to top it all off to make us lose as much hope as possible.
And Deku? Despite FORESIGHT PREDICTION insuring his demise, despite seeing Eri come back to Overhaul to say Deku CAN’T WIN, despite Overhaul being with NO DAMAGE, no backup, no NOTHING but his own will, he just screams he’ll blast through ALL of it anyhow. And personally challenges this future. Can he make it out? Well his girl and her agency just dropped in unannounced to try and take part. We’ll have to see how that plays out next episode. And it broke the internet.
I never really disliked Rock Lock before this episode like others probably did, but hearing his reasoning for not wanting kids in this operation makes me respect him even more. He's a true underrated character.

So rock lock has a pretty good contact quirk. Any object he touches is fixed into space. However, it seems like he can delay the activation. When he used his tile as a foothold, it became fixed in place seconds after he threw it. In addition, objects affected by the quirk maintain the force and velocity it has before being fixed, which is why the tile continued to move after deactivating his quirk on it. With enough force, the effect of the object can be undone. However, while the force limit is not reached, any outside force applied on a fixed object does not affect it at all, which is why the tile didnt fall after he stepped on it and deactivated his quirk. If it did, then the tile wouldve fallen down from the force of being stepped on after. Applying his quirk on a soft cushion would it into a solid shield since it cannot be compressed from being fixed.
With all this put in place, he could do some pretty cool things with his quirks. Delayed projectiles, turning objects into shields, having delayed air steps prepared, using it on his clothes to protect from an attack. I suspect if he was in the overhaul fight, he would use his quirk to prevent spikes from moving or slowing it down at least, also provide mid air platforms. He also has a bunch of keys on his costume belt. I'd like to assume that he could throw them as projectiles like nighteyes seals, but as traps for delayed projectiles to catch the opponent offguard
