So in their own quest for revenge Marley took it too far themselves and got punished by Eren for it. It's inevitable. Either way seeing Marley eat shit was super satisfying and be it only because they basically represent Nazi Germany.
What a legend, including the awesome upgraded scenes like the fog approaching the ships as they are firing and the clearer version of Eren’s form while also having the superior shot of the ships blowing up in the fog

The Alliance was formed through shared goals and understanding and none of them were happy about genocide. The leader of the Global Alliance (Willy) gets killed after declaring war. The leaders of the Alliance (Hange and Magath) gave their lives so the others stop the Rumbling. The world's problems with Marley and each other are gone and no one questions their morals. Paradis and Marley sat down and talked and they questioned their morals. The Rumbling happens and the Global Alliance is wiped out. The Alliance never gave up and stopped the Rumbling. That's why they sent those members to Paradis after the timeskip. Cause they knew who the real winners were.
Honestly, as horrifying as this is, I'd probably do the same! The whole world wanted Paradis gone. I have the power to protect my people and ensure their safety for good. Granted he could have done other things but the whole damned world had united to wipe them out by that point.

Why removed the explosions when the warships fell? Those explosions made things more realistic after those Colossal Titans went right through them.
The original's erratic and chaotic flashes of explosions that are hidden by steam looks better imo and fits that part of the song better
