The last verse to not like us is a direct response to the slave line in family matters. The A-Minor line is a direct response to the Dave Free line. The hardest verse in Meet the Grahams was not the daughter verse, it was the last verse. Drake responded to not having a daughter, but the song was about him and his entire immediate family. Did the lines land about his character, his mom, dad, and bm? Also, Kendrick was smart not responding to what he felt to be nonsense. As soon as you play victim and start trying to explain and rebut every bar, you lost.
Agree with all this but the hardest verse of MTG is actually when he is addressing the parents. It also contains implications of the “ring” that Drake is a part of. Also says he wants Drake to die, and be locked up with Weinstein.

If you truly watch battle rap, you’d know that the greats (Mook, Lux, Serius, Hollow, etc.) ALL use their opening lines to rebuttal whatever their opponent just said before getting into their prewritten verses. Actually, Arsonal might be the best at this.
