    Expository Preaching -
    1) Is so Important and Necessary
    2) Must Be the Main Diet of a Church
    3) Choose only Churches that are committed to Expository Preaching.

I have studied the Bible since I was19, and I am now 66. I have heard expository preaching over the years, but not much. I started hearing expository preaching and teaching since 2018, and it has changed my life! I have learned more of the Bible than I ever did before. I appreciate all expository preaching and teaching.!!!

No it is not easy to do. Over 2 years ago we were in a church that left Biblical teaching for a self help, entertainment style of preaching. And to make matters worse the retiring pastor’s daughter became the senior pastor. I knew then it was time to leave. My husband wasn’t ready to leave at that time so I began to pray for him and for the Lord to lead us to a church that taught the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. I looked at every website of every church within 25 miles of our home and listened to sermons by every pastor. And finally found the oasis in the desert. We left that false teaching church and have been attending our church for over 2 years. I will pray for the Lord to lead you to the right church.

The sad thing is because there are many "pastors" behind pulpits story telling and blabbing and not preaching it is creating a generation of biblically illiterate Christians. And so when you say something about some erroneous teaching those who follow that preacher will defend false teaching because they have been deceived by their personality.

Formula for success in Reformed Circles:
    1) Buy an excellent looking suit and tie.
    2) Flatter the heck out of whoever you are speaking with, like a total fanboy, on camera
    3) Blame all of the church's problems on non-Calvinists, while being entirely non-critical of the sordid history of Calvinsits
    4) Pretend leading your audience to eisegete Calvinism against grammar and logic is "Expository Preaching"
    5) Don't every look up Basilides...the Gnostic who invented Calvinism, who taught it to Mani, who taught it to Augustine, who taught it to Luther and Calvin.
    6) Don't ever compile the correlative data between Calvinism and Racism, Slavery, Genocide, Colonialism, the CIA, and the habit of infiltrating and taking over churches by stealth since the 1600s'.
    7) Say incredibly stupid things, like when Steve Lawson said, "Of all men born of women, there is none greater than John Calvin" because correcting Jesus is NUMBER ONE!

  • @markita.hardenhome
    @markita.hardenhome 5 місяців тому +1

I was in agreement until he got to the Apochrypha. Christians SHOULD read the Apocrypha. And ESPECIALLY they should read the book of Enoch.
Let's not assume to know the full mind of God. Some books were left out of the cannon ON PURPOSE and FOR A REASON.
Enoch's book begins by saying that his vision was for those who will live DURING the great tribulation. A time when the church will be GONE! And the dispensation of grace CLOSED. God's message to those people will be different; for a people that will live in a different dispensation than our own. They will have DIFFERENT requirements and a different inheritance than the church.
We MUST remember that there's ZERO BIBLICAL evidence that the canon came directly from God. There's no command, there's no prophet that said thus says the Lord, include these; and exclude these. We do NOT have that. Therefore, we CANNOT claim that the canon is the only God breathed books. PLUS, the Bible QUOTES ENOCH! We learn that Noah was given books of God's commands and prophecies that came from Enoch so they would survive the flood in order to teach his sons and their sons. Abraham was given books and our Bible speaks of other writings and books not in the canon. Levi was the first priest and are we to assume nothing about his priestly office was ever written until Aaron?
This is THEE MOST biblically HONEST way to approach the canon. Without a messenger from God, a prophet, etc, the canon cannot be deemed "closed". Are the individual books God breathed?......yes! Are these the ONLY God breathed books?......NO!
Tradition is good for many things but it can ALSO be an ugly beast that reaches too far. Especially when the reaching stands to bolster ones own agenda.
Let the Holy Spirit lead you in matters the Bible is silent on.
The biggest ENEMY to biblical learning I have learned are two things:
    1. Denominational tradition
    2. Deniminational teaching
The first says, well... it's this way because it's always been this way.. this is how we've always done things and what we "always" teach.. Never questioning if the old way or teaching is actually right.
The second says...this is what "WE" teach and "WE'RE" right and everyone else is wrong. There's ONE truth. NOT many. The fact that 20 Christian deniminations can each have their own "view" on a single topic should be a clue.....if one is right, then 19 are wrong. But NO ONE wants to evaluate whether THEY are wrong because TRADITION locks them into a particular view or narrative and they did in their heels REFUSING to expand their understanding and dare I say even consider CHANGING their stance on a particular view.
