Too many people in this game are so desperate for that 1 position higher they will take you and themselves out in the process! I’m a 99 every day. Always have been. But got dropped to 72 in one race by being rear ended twice in first chicane, getting broadsided when off course by a guy that managed to blow it three times as badly as I had ten seconds before, and getting brake checked (ironic) in the esses. It’s a debacle.

I've been on pole 4 times and been punted 4 times gaining a penalty in the process and being put to the back of the pack. My driver and safety rating has gone from BS to DD, the game is a joke. About time bad driving gets a ban for a week or month,its ruining the game

BS lol . now CS . but i have the same experience . since, i put blinker on go to the back o the pack or midfield without a penalty . they should just put ghosting on for those races .or it should be possible to make own sport lobby . i mean a lobby that makes rating go up or down . but possible to kick players by host . maybe certain settings fixed for those races .

Ironically, Monza, along with the recent race at Blue Moon Bay (hash brown) Speedway have allowed me to rescue my DR each time it takes a battering. In this time of lockdown it's been fun to let youtube suggestions take me back in time to Super GT Gran Turismo vids I've not yet seen. Unfortunately, it has also brought mne closer to the time when the majority left will be Forza ramming vids. That sh!t gets old quickly. I actually won one of these destruction derbys last night. On almost every race, I just ducked down to the inside before turn one, early on the brakes and watch the ship of fools go crashing into each other. After about 2 or 3 laps, I always found myself somewhere in the top 5. I won because of the 20 second penalty for not pitting at least once, but I was in 2nd only 4 seconds behind the leader almost the entire race. It only took about 10 tries of frustration and trying to win the hole shot before I wised up and decided slow, steady and consistent was gonna yield better rewards.

Happened to me more than once: someone up front goes off, by contact or bailing thru first chicane, then is re-spawned right in the middle of the chicane, so that I hit the guy, and get SR penalty and/or race penalty.
I’ve found in my last few races that if you race clean throughout the whole race and get in second place for the last lap, in the last corner you then take out the leader on the last corner giving you a win. This may not work all the time though as a takeout can slow you down and if the person is third you may only get second. Been racing lots on these games now if anyone needs more pro tips hit me up 👍. Monza t1 always brake early and softly so you have modulation to burn. If you see you're about to get into the back of somebody, add some more brake pressure. If you're maxed out you can't help but punt them off. Please, for the sake of everybody's fun, brake early and brake soft!
@@Niko-he4ji I know how you feel, the difference in pace is just stupid between them... final race I did at LeMans (finally got myself up to DR A with a win), was matched with DR A/B/C/D drivers. The whole package. By the end of the race the lead group was more than half a lap ahead of the slowest guys. Even managed to lap some of the really slow guys last week.
In GT games, its ALWAYS your fault with the logic the penalty system has. someone hits you? its your fault. you get spun around? your fault. one of those reasons didn't bother buy the games after 6th one (it was disappointing too on many areas)

Rumour has it that the first race ever at Monza had 18 cars off at the first corner. This is particularly impressive given there were only 12 cars on the grid.
The worst part is that, outside of T1, there’s plenty of room for great racing at Monza. It’s just getting past the first 20 seconds that makes it difficult, half the field’s race is ruined immediately

The SR system isn't great, I get so many dirty drivers in my lobbies with a SR S
And the DR is broken, the game wants me to get 6th in a lobby with 7 A rated drivers

The game is region based when you play online sport mode races so you'll only see others from the Americas.

Hopped in a race yesterday, started pole position... dropped to last after that first turn, nice.
Rumour has it that the first race ever at Monza had 18 cars off at the first corner. This is particularly impressive given there were only 12 cars on the grid.
Always love the content Steve-o! Any time you take off is well-earned! There is a real world shadow realm and it must be avoided.
The worst part is that, outside of T1, there’s plenty of room for great racing at Monza. It’s just getting past the first 20 seconds that makes it difficult, half the field’s race is ruined immediately
