OVO was so amazing when I saw it live in Cologne. I didn't know what to expect and the Ants (foot juggling) was one of my favorite acts. Probably my most favorite act, because of the wonderful music. The Air Ballet and the tightrope acts were also among my favorite. The circus acts were out of this world! But the best part is the music of OVO. I love the idea of having a musical theme. OVO is Brazilian, Luzia is Mexican, Michael Jackson is Michael Jackson, Kurios is electro swing and steampunk. It always gets more unique. I wonder what music influences the show in Orlando will have.
The original Alegria is the greatest production of Cirque, IMO. What you see here is an excerpt from the DVD "Alegria Live in Sydney (2003)." This is a must-have DVD! It brings you into the Alegria's fantasy world, and that experience will be a significant part of your life. Fantabulous. Their aerial acts are magnificent. I find I sit and follow their every move as if I'm trying to help them with movements. When they go up, I kinda 'ummph' pushing them. I can't help it. It just makes me giggle.

There is something magical and very special about the first touring shows, (Alegría, Saltimbanco, Quidam), that made them so unique, maybe the stoicism that the characters portrayed or the level of perfection of every act. Not to diminish the talent and credit of the newer shows and the amazing artists, but, the energy and that "something" so captivating that is hard to describe from the first shows it's hardly matched by the newer shows.

The amount of endurance and upper body strength the guys who swing the girls in the trapeze act is insane. My back, arms, and abs are feeling it.
