Never heard Richie doing a Hendrix style before, sounds great!
Jbf Music & Guitar on his channel there are multiple tribute to hendrix and one recent video where he is improvising Hendrix style, very cool 😉
@@chrisdaviesguitar Didn't know that! Lol, well I've clearly not spent enough time looking for them :D
Richie can play anything. I love his streams and people just pick songs and he plays them. 🤘
You can tell how much Richie loves Hendrix, and why not, he's the greatest of all time...
As a female guitarist, Richie you are one of my greatest inspirations. Though I will never be as good as you, you do however move me to be all I can be. 🤘🏽🎸
Those blues parts sound and look good even with this fr flying v and convincced me to get a v instead of lp.
...“Musically” haha 😂 Richie is the man! Can’t wait to see him with priest next year 🤘🏻
This is one of the best descriptions of Jimi's playing I've ever heard
Falcon is a Beast and so respectful of man who set up the World for Electric Guitar Greatness. Very Cool. DOTF!
Why isn't Richie on Experience Hendrix🤔
Ritchie is a brilliant guitarist 🤘🎸
What a great analysis of Jimi, fantastic job Richie and great playing too.. Jimi truly was the greatest, I mean the playing we kno was groundbreaking but let’s not forget his amazing songwriting!
Great video Richie, love your Hendrix passion it matches mine 😎👍
i only know this... Richie...i really loved that heavy reference to Jimmy Hendrix on March of the Dammed's solo...i really loved that wah part
Is there more of this? This is great. And he's just scratching the surface.
Ritchie is such a badass. Thank the good lord he exists
Killing Floor live at Monterey has a special place in my heart. As a teenager I was heavily into Joe Satriani and basically wanted to _be_ Joe and then one day my brother handed me a Jimi Hendrix compilation tape called Kiss The Sky and first thing I heard was _that_ riff. I had no idea who Jimi Hendrix was but compared to Joe Satriani there was something wild, untamed and awesome about it and I felt my teenage musical spirit being freed from its moorings of taps and hammer ons and transported to somewhere else entirely. And so began a whole new musical journey for me which all started with that riff in my bedroom many years ago.
There is a new video about the recent "Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland" anniversary record where Joe Satriani sits and talks about the album! Check it out!
Great lesson Richie!
What a MAN.... you got it Sir
Still no idea how to play that lol
Hendrix didn’t have “true bypass”. He managed lol
Is that a Gibson V? Has a Schenker look to it...
"Studying the Playing of the Great Jimi Hendrix" - Going to take a lot longer than 6 mins 46 secs ;)
great video
How do i ger one of those v’s when are gibson doing another run
Sounds like Gospel shout music haha it’s an awesome technique
Hey! You learnt a Hendrix sound, well done. Just 499 more to go.
I don't think he's ever stated that he 'nailed' all of Hendrix's sounds, conversely, he mentioned that he still doesn't know everything Hendrix was doing.
I wish he'd post his signal chain when he does this stuff. It's a great sound, but definitely not his live signal chain.
Wow! Like how u waz explaining it👍
😂 I love Richie being damn honest about Jimmy Hendrix. 🤣👍
What equipment/ amp setting did richie use on the priest albums firepower and redeemer?
Pretty shure he use ENGL heads, emg active pickups
See the full video here
ua-cam.com/video/5RHMU1Z33xg/v-deo.html
Besides he show the rig for the Tours but pretty shure he use almost the same for the firepower album
What's so funny about this video to me is that he actually has the overall sound really going but it's too quantized, just slightly too in tune, and the tone is just a hair too clean IMO!! He also has a great rhythm hand skill as well. I'm jealous since my right wrist is nowhere near that loose haha! Cool video dudes
That's the type of riff he used to play before going into the song Killing Floor. The first riff Richie played.
Finally, something rude of Hendrix
👍
If he says "loose" one more time
The frets on that guitar is like super jumbo. Too much plastic on that body tho.
Killing floor, Hendrix transformed that Riff, one of the most exciting riffs you can hear
Just shows that even though he plays full on metal he can play perfect Hendrix which is where it all stems from.
One of my favourite modern players. \m/
Does it though?
@@chancethewizard2336 does it though what?..whats your point?
@@michaelsteven1090 he's asking does it all stem from Hendrix???
Blues is the base of metal and Hendrix made them heavy then made heavy riffs and metal songs in 66/67. Fun fact: Judas Priest started performing with Hendrix covers in 71,72🎸
So succinctly stated !
