For the love of God why do people fold the cover on its felt side! Do it in reverse so that the felt side is not expose GOOD GRIEF!
Great looking cases but wayyyyyyyyyy too expensive in my opinion. For a case I mean. Like 70 dollars? You could buy an ipod shuffle or an off brand case for the iPad like I did that has just as much protection. Still i think they are very nice cases. :)
On ebay they are like $8.00

Seriously man how much use do you get out of all your gadgets.? I was under the impression that you bought them, reviewed them and then either gave them back or sold them on, however this vid gives the impression that you actually keep all of your devices...? Did you have a big lottery win at some point? Lol

Not a big deal, these are UA-camrs so it's tax deductible because a lot of people can use this for their "business". Check people like Ty Moss, Soldierknowsbest, or Chris Pirillo, they buy their own gear but it's a write off.

I found a nice case called the Baseus Primary Series. It has the same design and is also made of leather. Can be found in aliexpress for $17

Go to aliexpress.com and look for 'original Apple smart case'. They have a lot of fake ones that look identically like the real one, and they're like $10. I had real Apple cases for my iPhone 5, 6 and iPad 3 but they're so expensive and I found exact replicas on that site, so I ordered 2 leather iPhone cases (look like pretty much identical to the real ones) and some are real leather, some are plastic that looks and feels like leather (you don't notice it, I have both).
The non leather ones don't wear out that quick (if you're planning on choosing a light color) and no cows were harmed and killed for it.
Arne Maeschaelck The original apple case is too smooth and hard compared to the Baseus case which is softer and has a slight rough texture that leather normally has. So even though it isn't genuine leather, its texture makes it feel more genuine than Apple's.
with so many less expensive options out there, this should be your last option

This case sucks. Both my sister and I have these cases for our iPad minis and our iPads don't stay in the case anymore. After 3 months of having this case my iPad keeps falling out, and it almost broke. Don't buy these cases. EVER EVER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Put a small piece of Velcro on the back of your Mini and on the inside of the case. Problem solved!

Wow, I have an old iPad Mini from back around this time, 2013 but I don't use it, haven't for years as I use my iPhone 8 for everything, but my mini had one of these Smart Cases and I legit remember that from so long ago, it was the grey color... what memories! Now that Mini is really slow, stuck on iOS 9.3.5 won't go further and the mic is done for on it, has been for years.

Some food for thought, Apple no longer sells that brown color iPad Smart case. They do have a much darker olive brown case that might not show as much wear.
Great job on the vid. Helped me understand what the covers looked like. The weathering away of the color shouldn't be too much of a problem as well because I'm sure you use your iPhone way more than you'd use your iPad mini. Thanks again:D

This case feels more stable than the case for the iPad Air, probably because it's lighter :)

I bought one of these and returned it in literally ten minutes back to the Apple Store and got a much better case for $49 (not by Apple)

If none of you want to pay $80, look for a nice cheaper alternative. I bought the Baseus Priamry Series iPad case and it has the exact same design and only costs $17 to buy from China. The leather is pretty nice quality, but idk how it compares to official case b/c I never went near those overpriced f*ckers lol.

Here is a weird question. Should I exchange my iPad air 16 gig for an iPad mini retina display 32 gig? The full size iPad had become so light and thin and I don't know if there is a strong case for iPad mini.

Are the sleep\wake buttons on your retina mini loose? If I tap on mine it sounds loose where as my Air's buttons are very tight and don't move.
I personally think that the black smart case goes better with the white iPad mini than the brown case. I also think that the red cover DOES go best with the black iPad mini
The cutout for the lightning cable wore out easily. Now the ipad won't stay in the cover. And the leather hinge isn't soft enough so the cover won't close properly.

hey i'm curious how the iPad cases have held up over time? now that you have had them for.. two years. how is the fit, is it still snug or is it loose, i read a few reviews about it becoming very loose after a few months... any comment on that? - TIA

I would have loved for the screen cover to be detachable from the case, so when you want to play a game the thing isn't dangling around. even rolling it up it just seems weird.

I went to Best Buy to get the iPad Air smart case, but they were all sold out. I got a Belkin case that works great. It has slots for business cards and a pen holder, but it doesn't have the magnet in the cover that shuts off the screen when closed.

I was at Apple an I was looking at the cases and it said that the color of the case could eventually fade over time. That's one reason why I don't want this.

It's darker than air. At least the brown one. Also, the mini smartcase closed fully unlike the air
