Diane I love love love this painting! It's so whimsical. I love the chicken, bunny, and cat at the base of the tree. Your choice of using all blues and greens in the tree trunk and all the birds was top notch. I love what that did for the overall painting. Oh but I can't forget for pure pleasure and FUN the beautiful gold pen!!! And lastly the fun of adding those pretty little blooms and gold leaves. Ahhh, just going back thru it piece by piece was exciting and has me ready to start sketching. Thank you so very much for the different directions you take us and all the ways you teach us to love and grow with our art. And also to have FUN!!!💕👍👣
This is a favorite of mine. She had me at the chicken 🙏🏽 with this one. It’s always an easy calming mental health exercise just to listen and paint with her. Dianne’s calming voice is worth more than an hour with a therapist. I would love to find an art therapist like her. If only I lived in France…… 😊💖
In addition to the countless things you teach us about watercolor painting, one of the qualities you have is helping us to not take ourselves, or our expectations for ourselves, too seriously. In my own personal experience while working with you, is that I have permission to lighten up and enjoy the trip! It changes the mindset and opens up the imagination. There is nothing better to help us. Your students from your past were lucky to have had you. I apologize for the diatribe, but I want you to remember how much you impact all of us, lucky enough to have found you! Thank you again…….now to get paper and do a tree with birds❤️..
Love hearing the rooster crow!! The nature sounds are beautiful. Love your watercolors, all of them. I recently found you and I am obsessed with watching your beautiful creations. Have a blessed day and keep creating!!!
Absolutely beautiful. I figure if I keep watching you it’s possible to do this myself. Thank you for these videos. They are so relaxing and the beautiful sounds of nature to go with it.
This is so beautiful and fun! Then God had to make it even more fun with the musical backdrop of singing birds as you were painting birdies! How delightful! Thank you 💖. I always add at least a touch of gold to my paintings, I love this!
I have to say that I concur with all the previous comments. I loved this. Made myself a coffee and sat and relaxed while you created. Thank you. I am definitely going to try this. My sister in Nova Scotia would love this....
This is one I must try at some point. The colors are perfect! It amazes me how you create the birds. The gold pen added so much to the painting. The bird sounds from outside was the perfect touch!
Thank you for your kind words! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. I'm always looking for new ways to add details to a painting, and the gold pen was a great addition to this one. I'm so glad you noticed the bird sounds outside as well - it made the whole experience so much more enjoyable.
As is my way, I woke with the birds, long before my slumbering family, made a cup of coffee, and scrolled through my UA-cam subscriptions. As soon as I saw your post I said practically out loud, “here’s how I want to start my day.” Always a joy to be carried along as you create, Diane. And the farm sounds in the background are a bonus. Thank you!
This was a wonderful watch (and listen) last evening.............I really love the look of the tree trunk. You made me laugh with your commentary - not knowing where it's going to go! And I like just listening to you as you decide what to do. (And, of course, nature in the background!) I was familiar with the Celtic reference - my daughter painted one almost life size on a wall in the kitchen of her first house! This could also be adapted to be a family tree - with the number of birds coresponding to the number of family members.
I just finished my version of Diane's tree of life and totally enjoyed making silly little birds all over the tree! I used some really inexpensive dollar store paper because I was not going to do a wash, no lifting etc. and it turned out perfectly delightful.
I totally cracked up when you mentioned modern vacuum cleaners. I was just yesterday lamenting (or perhaps ranting) that there isn't a single thing I like about my new, expensive one! Thanks once again for making my day with your wonderful charming banter!
Exactly!! We have seven. Don't ask why!!! And the best one is the oldest. A cylinder Miele with a powerful motor, which has never had a day off work in its 20 year life.. The worst is the newest, an upright, battery-powered Bosch which we have had for 4 months and just had to buy a new head for. Go figure.
@@DianeAntoneStudio Ha! We have 4 although only two work. We live 150 miles from anyone able to service them. I ruined my Miele canister when I ran it accidentally without a filter bag. Was never the same afterward, and very noisy. My new one is even louder, the attachments are worthless, the head too big, etc etc. It does have lots of suction, but I hate using it.We have two dogs and a country property, so I'm beginning to wonder why I even bother! A first world problem though, right?
The texture on the tree is amazing. Love how the branches flow like water from the tree. I must practice making the beautiful little birds, they are so happy sitting within the flowers and leaves. It’s so full of life and movement with an overall peaceful effect.
Absolutely love this one Diane and I’m going to paint it for my first grandson Sebastian Jules who will be born on November 11 20204 hopefully! This is perfect for for either a girl or a boy Nursery. 🙏👩🎨💯
