Actually this would be ideal but it wasn't always the case in my experience as I've had many flights when I've lost video out beyond 25km and it never recorded the entire time I had been disconnected. I need to a do more flights and see if it does it again. I'm sure it will but without more flights like this I can't say definitively it will

I always thought that’s how all the vtxs are set up. They continue to record even if video connection is lost with the goggles or vtx..🤔

This is the first time I've had it record entirely while I had no video feed on my goggles.
Yes, it records, the signal is independent from recording on the DVR.
