- This easy minecraft spider xp farm is super efficient and uses a spider spawner. Its tested in both java and bedrock across versions and its a great way to get easy xp string and spider eyes
The Spider farm uses no redstone making it very simple to build and suitable for early survival. Add an item sorter to sort your string and spider eyes.

Nice video mate, hadn't thought of using a bubble column to raise them up, I just use some walls to force them up to the kill area. Great timing though, I'm just about to start curing villagers on a relatively new world so will definitely use this as it looks more reliable. Just a side note, on all editions of Bedrock it's better if the gap underneath the spawner is 6 blocks. On bedrock spawners have an individual mob cap in a 5 block cube all around the spawner so dropping them 6 blocks stops the spawner seeing the already spawned spiders so it increases the rates. Silentwisperer (sort of the Ianxofour/Ray's Works of Bedrock) worked this out.

other mobs dont decrease the spawners efficiency. the spawner attempts to spawn mobs every 10 seconds regardless of the mobcap. pacific mobs like fish dont affect the hostile mobs mob cap either.
mobs from the same spawner do decrease the spawners efficiency if they are close to the spawner, but here we are bringing the spiders far enough i think.
some good tips there but always be awre of the overall mob cap many servers have if you are building on a servers

I like the design using the bubble column, can really help with multiple spawners at different levels. Could even drop the floor as needed to accommodate the other spawners.
On a different subject, goat horn drops. Do they drop if the difficulty is set to peaceful in bedrock, latest version?
I dont believe so but to be sure you would need to test that as I havent has a chance to. Glad you enjoyed the vid and appreciate your feedback
@@jjaaxxthelegend I have a 3 spider spawner to build in one of my worlds, with the bubble column I might be able to get a zombie spawner incorporated in the build now.
I have been doing some tests and found no horns yet. It is a realm world I have no control of peaceful mode.

Won’t the spiders climb on walls and get stuck?
You will occasionally get a spider on the walls but if the water is correct it shouldnt cause much of a problem or reduce the efficiency

for the set of fence gates before the trap doors, is that also signs for Bedrock. you never specified
Yes bedrock need to use signs I show that clearly at 06:14
13:45 the dropped exp is stuck on top of the hopper?
Putting carpet on the hoppers would fix the xp getting stuck and the items can still be picked up.
Yep you can do that or just step forward now and then to collect xp
i can't break one of the blocks to put soul sand cse it's bedrock 💀💀 (the spawner is at -56)
Thats a tough one you may have to re-orientate it / find a work around Let me know how you go
@jjaaxxthelegend Sorry I'm so late replying. I never got the noti that you replied, but I ended up just putting 2 soul sands where I could, and it still worked perfectly. I'm guessing as it got full, the other spiders pushed the ones in the middle over, and they went up
I noticed your XP is going into the hoppers and staying there . I am having this problem as well. Anyone have an easy fix? Thanks
Walk forward to collect xp during a lull in spawning every now and then is the easiest way

My trapdoor is letting water through and idk how to fix it also when i try to put the part to peak so i can see the water it just flows into the room?

ah thats why
if anybody does this on a cave spider spawner just place slabs on top of hoppers and then 3 trapdoors where the slabs would make the hit area and it will work

They dont need to line up exactly
You cant stack signs so how exactly do you place all those signs in substitution for the fence gates?
you can put signs on signs but crouching while you place
Those who wonder how to get the mob spawning block. You need silktouch pickaxe to build a farm but you can do just like that video.
You can get one but its kinda fun to find one as well
