Great design. Occasionally gets clogged up by skeletons and needs to be cleared out. I may add dispensers to shoot arrows with a button I can activate from the kill chamber, in order to clear them out. tip: when you're done building the farm place 2 blocks on top of the spawner. This is so spiders fall into the water and don't sit on top of the spawner
does the farm work if you do so though
I do this but with chains and connect it all the way up, it makes the farm much better because there is no stuck spiders
@@ashwin_1103 yes the farm will still work
bruh i do
this is the most useful tutorial ive watched, i come back to it again and again whenever i find a cave spider spawner. thank you!
I need help! The im collecting xp but not items!!!!
@@taylorbucci3692 have you double checked that the dispensers are there and placed so that they dispense the items into the chests?
@@sverenagain Same thing happened to me and sometimes the spider will drown if I don't kill it immediately
@@TommyRot the way the water's placed should be preventing that, id run over the video section starting when they begin to dig the tunnel-thing where the spiders go down. chances are that something's a block off, so if u are careful to do it exactly the same it will probably be fixed. sorry, i dont know if i can give u better advice than that
@@sverenagain They drown in the tiny tunnel so I just mines the top blocks so they could breathe
Ok solution for the spiders getting stuck :
Where you place the fences make it 1 block deeper as the fence is preventing them from moving towards the trap door so the spiders reach the slab area for you to hit them
Edit: use slabs at 4:31 for the roof as that’s what’s causing the spiders to stall up in the middle of the
Not my idea found out watching marcor short tutorial in a yt short great help
Worked like a charm! One tip, when you're removing the torches, use your shovel. Less likely to smash a spawner that way.
or just use your hand...
or your fist?
Thank you for such a clear tutorial. Works perfectly in 1.18 :) I've built mine around a surface-level spawner in a mesa, so I had to build up rather than dig out for some of it but it still works absolutely fine. The bonus in 1.18 is that you don't need as many torches to keep it safe before you start it working too :)
When I saw the items required I actually jumped shouting WHAT
Why
@@aileenamador3747 ez to make and afford
@@ambitiousaydinclips5278 lots of spider farms are this same concept tho.... the hoppers are the most expensive thing in these designs😅 it's not like spider farms are normally super expensive
@@arie8515 Ye im just used the material heavy intensive farms
I tried another spider farm design and it did not end up working out. Thank you for making this video. It helped a lot!
Oh man, i spent way too long counting to get a 9x9 area. Never powered the espresso machine this fast in my life.
lol just had to do 4 blocks from each side of the spawner
@@anshtharwani482 sorry i dont do math
I literally needed this. I started my survival 2 weeks ago and I found a mineshaft below my base. It has 4 spider spawners. 3 of them r cave spider spawners and one is simple black spider spawners. I was just thinking about a cave spider farm. You came just in time. I was just gonna search for a vid on this today. I'm soooooooo lucky I found this.
Bruh. That so lucky i found only 2 Spider spawner
@@afifgozali8611 yeah I know right? I found 4 spider spawners in the same mineshaft. That's probably because I made my base on the intersection of 3 biomes. My base is between desert biome, that brownish biome which is like a desert, and a green field biome
This is perfect timing, just yesterday I found a cave spider spawner and just noted the coordinates :)
Works like a charm, awesome work mate.
Great design. Occasionally gets clogged up by skeletons and needs to be cleared out.
I may add dispensers to shoot arrows with a button I can activate from the kill chamber, in order to clear them out.
Also, if too many spiders accumulate, the ones in the back either suffocate or drown, which limits afk.
All in all, fantastic design.
Put a slab on top of the spawner it should eliminate any spawns that aren't spiders
Edit: I'm a fool and forgot spider jockeys are a thing. Hmmm
@@mynamesjeffe782 spider jockeys aren't a thing with cave spiders I thought. *Correction* apparently they do in bedrock edition, and not java.
Why was this the most enjoyable minecraft tutorial ever, just the music and the minecraft sounds 😌
It is very well done, to be sure
I Am Impressed By Watching Your Videos Daily
3 years later and this still works like a dream, thank you so much!!!
It is me or whenever you need a farm shulker makes a video about it
Exactly 😂
I love this kind of tutorial. Straight to the point!
When I see the intro:
I will need a lot of things
When I see the things you need: WTF
Ikr, Most tutorials have soo much stuff you would need for the same xp.
With this farm you can also use the strings to make wool. Free xp and wool! That’s what I call a great farm
And you can sell the string, wool and eyes to villagers for emeralds
@@_lazyturtle_3009 so it's a string, wool, spider eye, and emerald farm!
Does this work for regular spider spawners?
Update: This definitely does not work for regular spiders
YOU COULDVE SAID THAT BEFORE I DID IT

When shulkercraft says to make an infinite water source with 2 water buckets and then says to use just 2 water buckets
Just built this farm, and I am happy to say it is amazing!
do you know the width of the spider farm
@@prestonbirch3997 4 away from the spawner on each side
when making it i accidentally activated the spawner without adding iron trapdoors, which made the spiders crawl out. i was scrambling away and finally managed to get it in place. but thats on me. this vid was really helpful and amazing thanks a lot

Where was this when I died 7 times building one of this then realized it was for normal spiders not cave ones
LOL 😂😂
How did you die I won't die .

@@seanlooloo6095 I waited to get a good number of them went to kill em they squeezed through slab and got me my spawn point was in the same room you can imagine what happened 😂
If you do this with a normal spider u have to use slabs where you kill the spiders so they can fit
So above the chests?
How cuz like i dont get it where do i place the slabs for the normal spider one
This is perfect as I had been looking for how to build one of these in my survival world
Works beautifully shulker🤩
This is such a clean instructional video omfg
Bro I did all of this and then broke the spawner 💀
My friend did that like 1 weeks ago I had to find another one
same
That's good 😂
I wake up to a shulkercraft vid : overwhelmed with joy 🙀🙀🙀🙀
Its working PERFECTLY!! I LOVE THIS TUTORIAL!!
