Big Goliath grouper are supposedly full of mercury and other heavy metals. And you don't want to lose the breeders. But I don't think it would ruin the population by allowing harvesting small to medium size ones.

@@calebblazier8573 been fishing for 30 years in floridas waters, sharks are far less abundant and considerably smaller than previous decades, everyone wonders why they are stealing so much catch is because of overfishing, its easier to target your catch on the line than to try and chase singles all over the place.

@@juanpiedrahita9151 I know the difference between a bonnet head and a hammerhead. The hammerhead we had in ceviche was from the Pacific side of Costa Rica. But I caught and ate bonnet heads in the FL keys fried. It was good too.

This past July in key colony beach!! We caught big mangrove snapper on 7 mile bridge, fileted them and used the bodies for bait !!! In the canal behind the house chumed with pieces of the bodies . We pulled an 82" bull shark out of the canal behind the house we rented !!! We had a harpoon and stabbed in the gills multiple times, then he calmed down and cut a circle around the tail !!!

Awesome video Joey. I was eating some of that shark you gave me while watching the vid. I did it on the smoker with the blackened seasoning. Very good. Way more of a steak-like consistency than the little bonnetheads and blacktips Ive had. Thank you again brother!

  • @myparadiseonbantayanisland9030

Tail noose is the very best way to bring a shark in, if you leave them in the ocean upside down for about 20 minutes he will pass out and you can gut them while upside down and not have to deal with them going wild in the boat 😎🐟
