Hey Pier, that's an amazing input. If you have contacts to filmmakers that are willing to give away a short clip for free for a competition like this please feel free to get them in contact with me.This isn't my first and won't be my last competition, so maybe next time we'll have a short clip from a filmmaker in need of a score. (which isn't always that simple because those unscored clips often will be then sent to festivals and can't be shown before or what so not, but I love the idea and yes, it would be really cool to be contacted by one of those thousands and thousands)
For new composers, 10 days seems like a very short time. Including set up a viewing. Be nice if you had a 30 day competition at the minimum. Thank you.
Hi Michael, thanks for your thoughts. We think 14 days is more than enough for a 90 second clip, even for beginners. Here's my suggestion how you could handle it: 1 day for sighting and setting up your project (instruments and markers), 2 days for the sound design, 10 days for scoring (= 9 seconds of music per day) and 1 day for mastering, exporting and uploading. Best of luck 😊
🎶 Last train to London, just headin' out... 🎶Cool! Viel Glück, Leute!

Cheers Gents, I'll have a crack at this, but probably won't be able to start work on it until next week.
Great to have you on board David, best of luck! And 1 week should be more than enough for a 90 second clip
