@@codafett call to action? Just because it isn’t some stereotypical action filled cliffhanger doesn’t mean it isn’t a cliffhanger. A major relationship and driving force behind the show has just met a huge obstacle which I am sure many people want to see the conclusion of. Also a bunch of info was shown and left in answered which calls for a second part in of itself.
@@vladthelad7508 To be honest it could easily be the end of season 1. The fact that there is no call to action and just a sad ending and situation...does look more like a end of season for the next one then a 2 parts. And the fact that the emotional bit also was slow....tbh it could had been a episode and the next be episode 8. It does not really look like a 2 part story...as it will look more as 2 different episodes.
@@arqueiroXD How? Clearly the next one is intended to be a *direct continuation* whereas all previous episodes were isolated stories. The title of the episode, without even watching already let's you know to EXPECT the end to have a follow up. Seeing what the end is, it's obvious that the relationship between Blitzø and Stolas are the main focus. How could it be anything other than a continuation?
I will never get over Ozzie and Fizz were presented here as antagonists but then season 2, we get to see they are not only good guys but some of the most lovable characters in the show
And we’re supposed to hate them for portraying Stolitz as a hook up rather than legitimate romance, but we found out that at least 1/2 of them feel the same way.
@@warweasel2832 nah fr, Stolas is kind of a jerk now and is gearing up to become the true villain of the show 💀 But at the time we were none the wiser lmao
@@Harudodo I'm still trying to wrap my head around this idea. How is Stolas the bad guy when he... -clearly communicated his feelings and his desires for their relationship -cut the strings of obligation to give them a chance to have a true and healthy relationship -wasn't afraid to walk away when it was clear that Blitz wasn't on the same page/ready for a real relationship -refused to be treated like shit even though he knew that Blitz's words stemmed from his own trauma and he didn't mean them The only bad thing I can think of is that he didn't really let Blitz off the hook and isn't making it easy for Blitz step around his BS. And honestly, he has no reason to. Being damaged and having trauma is not an excuse to be a shitty person and no one is responsible for that except for you. If there's something I'm missing, I'd love for someone to point it out.
God, Asmodeus' singing voice is phenomenal EDIT: OMG there's alot of Details i absolutely adore. One is Ozzie and Fizzaroli not immediately wanting to kick Moxxie out, and instead just telling Mox to lighten up, and even give him a second chance to spice up his song. Another is the Abstract horror on Moxxie's face when blitz speaks up....
Credit to Blitz here. He may be factually the majority of what these guys threw in his face, but he still stood up for Moxie and Millie even when he knew he'd get ripped into if he was noticed. Clearly an impulsive move, but his loyalty to his employees is top notch
Can we appreciate how when faced with a Demon Prince and a full crowd mocking them, Moxxie and Millie didn't hesitate at all. They didn't even consider giving in to the pressure and just kept showing their love
@@ma.2089 Huh didn't even consider that about Blitz and Stolas. Though it is funny that the relationship built on lust, starts showing it's cracks in the house of lust.
i don't think they mock them because they hate them, more like to put on a show. Similar to how sport commentator sometimes bully love couples, it's just for a show.
Stolas doesnt get Blitzo, and a big part of that is Blitzo's fault. Since he is so terrified of being hurt. He refuses vulnerability. So Blitzo tells him nothing.
I love how they didn't even kick him off stage, they literally like "Yo, its sweet you're singing to your gal but this ain't the place kid" then told him exactly what to sing and even gave him his spotlight back Ozzie and Fizz know talent, they just couldn't have the lust vibe killed
It just seems like they were on board with Mox and Millie's genuine love for each other, they just wanted Mox to naughty with his expressions rather than vanilla lol
Some of the best interpretations of evil is when the bad guy tells the truth and puts it in their favor. Ozzy went and dealt a telling blow on Bird boy’s conscience, simultaneously praising and mocking him for showing how selfish he is and how dangerously influential Lust can be.
I don't think our favorite Brid Boi is selfish at all, the marriage is not going to last without love, and it's clear that there's no love between them. Ozzy is just mocking our Brid Boi because he loves someone who is much lower in the hierarchy than him. It's basically a noble loving a commoner.
@@sheepketchup9059 I’d argue that it was a little selfish of Stolas to continuously cheat on his (now ex?) wife before even an implied divorce went through. Besides, if Asmodeus was mocking him solely for doing it with a lowborn, he would’ve personally emphasized that particular fact, rather than focus on Stolas jeopardizing his marriage, his relationship with his daughter, and his reputation as royalty to (at least in the beginning of his and Blitzø’s relationship) satisfy his physical lusts.
@@sheepketchup9059 Ozzy is a big hypocrite lmao. It seems implied that he's in a relationship with Fizz, who is an imp as well. Similar dynamic as Stolitz
That's not the feeling I get from Stolas at all. It seems to me Stolas actually wants a legitimate relationship with Blitzo, but because of his station he can't let on that he has actual feelings for him. Hell, even Stella seemed more upset at the fact that he was specifically sleeping with an imp than about the actual cheating itself. I feel like Stoals and Stella hadn't been in love for a long time, maybe they never were, and he felt something with Blitzo that he didn't with Stella. Meanwhile. Blitzo suffers from such a crippling lack of self confidence that he can't even imagine someone wanting him for anything more than casual sex. This episode, for me, really showcased why he's so creepily obsessed with Mox and Mil, they have what he wants but feels he doesn't deserve, so he lives vicariously through them.
@@angelsartandgaming It's literally insane that CHRISTINA VEE is playing verosika, the FUCKING GLITTER GIRL LADYBUG SUPERHERO IS PLAYING HER (she does an amazing job)
@@grimmreaper1594 I KNOW RIGHT? Especially since I actually got to hang out with her at one point one time. Her personality is so bubbly and her character is spiteful! It makes it so cool to see the contrast XD
Asmodeus’s design is fucking amazing with the detail. It isn’t just random features designed to look cool, he’s actually based on descriptions and depictions of the demon lord Asmodeus. Two additional heads (one of a sheep and one of a bull), jagged teeth, rooster’s feathers, and goat’s legs. Only things that are missing is a serpent’s tail and human face, but I can understand them being removed for the sake of character design.
We only seen Asmodeus and Lucifer out of all of them. We got kinda a glimpse of Mammon due to the money in the Greed ring. I'd like to see the rest of the princes just to see how they are depicted
he was said to have fire coming from his mouth so that could be the design of his mouth and head. other than that the seals (moxxie stands on one during his song and stollas has his on his house in the pilot) seem to be the same as the actual ancient lore as well. I love details like this.
One thing I like to point out is how Ozzie never says anything about hating romance or thinking love is stupid, only that sentiment is misplaced in a club about sexy vibes. (Pun intended.) He also makes it fairly clear that his shade thrown at Stolas was entirely because nobody, including him, knows that there's anything romantic or substantial between him and Blitzo. His teasing was also an opening, too - don't try to tell me he doesn't realize Stolas can sing, and a Prince singing about kinky imp time fits perfectly into what they're looking for in that atmosphere. Were there not any sense of shame between them, either or both of them could had turned the situation from Ozzie roasting them to stealing the show for themselves. Truthfully? I think that's what Ozzie had been hoping for.
Verosika’s part (as fire as it is) made me feel bad for her, it’s clear at some point she must’ve really loved Blitz or else she wouldn’t be this upset
And now he's doing the same thing to Stolas. Makes you wonder what happened in Blitzo's past that made him unwilling to form a relationship like that. I can't wait to find out in the next part.
Heres another fun detail I noticed! At 3:35, When Asmodeus was pulling up the illusions of Stella and Octavia, his eyes remain blank when looking at Stella, but his pupils show when he looks at Octavia. Generally, his pupils only show up when he cares about something a lot and is feeling affectionate, so it's cool to see his constant care about Octavia even in subtle moments.
Is no one gonna talk about Stolas’ face the moment Veronica said she used date Blitzo? Like just looks her up and down as she’s posing with a face like “Blitzzy dated HER?!?!”
@@kadp8096 well yeh. There were 3 different styles. So i think some if was intentional but the show does sometimes lose focus for the songs ( but imo the songs are just to good).
i love how Asmodeus is designed. he is both masuline and feminine and struts in a way that i don't think anyone would be able to deny is sexy. perfect interpretation of the demon of lust.
Asmodeus is alluring and seductive. Nothing to do with feminine/masculine traits: he dresses sharply, speaks in fiery voice, walks in a random yet refined pace and is all-in-all hot asf.
@@NonbinaryLesbian androgynous doesn’t really fit. Androgyny implies that his feminine and masculine traits cancel out eachother in a state of neutrality like each is at fifty percent that subtract to zero. Instead of the fifty and fifty making zero asmodious is 100 percent masculine 100 percent feminine to become 200 percent lust.
@@thedelordhimselfgokublack Ozzieis not part of the Goetia. Infact, the 7 Deadly Sins are (by Vivzie's hierarchy) above the Ars Goetia royalty. In a next episode, this is seen as Stolas bows to him, and calls him ''sire''. The Sins rule the rings on Lucifer's behalf, with Lucifer himself in the Pride Ring (source: Hazbin Hotel). The Ars Goetia are a form of secondary royalty, who lead the imp legions of hell. According to folklore, Stolas leads 3 ''mighty battelions of imps'' to cast his knowledge of the stars upon. TLDR: 7 Deadly Sins are in charge of Hell itself, with Lucifer leading them. Ars Goetia are basicly army commanders, but because of their vast influence are seen as ''lower'' or ''secondary'' royalty.
I cannot believe no one is mentioning how Blitzø knew Verosica and Fizzaroli were there, was actively trying to avoid being noticed by them, and yet, when Moxie was being bullied, he didn't hesitate to stand up for his friend knowing full well it was bringing his presence to the attention of the two people who hate him most. That's a damn good friend
@@Philtopy not at all. Azmodeus and Fizzaroli were making fun of Moxies sex life, and Blitzø was saying they have a great sex life. He was just doing it in his Blitzø way which comedically draws attention to the fact that he stalks them. But he was absolutely defending Moxie
Asmodeus actually looks sad and teary when Fiz got hurt. For someone who claims he only cares about the thrust he very clearly feels other emotions towards Fiz. Perhaps his feelings are romantic or simply a platonic friendship. Either way he very clearly cares about this employee of his.
Finally someone said about the dynamic of Fizz and Asmodeus since I have been noticing this in this part of the episode, I wish to see more of them uggbahabsbab

To be fair, this scene just made me dislike Blitzo even more. He never seems to appreciate Stolas when he is trying his best to show that he actually loves and cares for Blitzo, but decides to look and be all :( umu when Stolas hides his face NOT BECAUSE he's ashamed of Blitzo and yes of his actions (we've seen him expressing guilt for doing what he did to Stella before, even though she's extremely toxic. As the episodes progressed Stolas stopped being a horni powerful owl and became someone who is CLEARLY trying his best to have a happy and fulfilling ''life'', and is being held back by the scars of a toxic relationship)? Yeah, Blitzo has a lot of trauma to put together, but it seems like people are brushing him off as a victim, someone who was hurt, a soft uwu poor boy, even though the episode was LITERALLY him being called out on his shitty behavior.
@@rivergoeson5607 oh he's definitely not a Saint. He sure as hell did a ton of shit for the looks of it but I do think Stolas was feeling ashamed both of Blitzo's actions and being with him. Everything is talking about Ozzie, but can we take a look at Fizz? Best support character! Trumpet play, throws money at Ozzie when dancing, and literally uplifted him! Chorus at the end! We all need a wingman like him!
I like that at the end, when Moxxie finished his song, even though Fizz and Oz made fun of it, it seemed like it was in a "aww look at this sappy dweeb, it's kinda cute how in love he is" way, and they snuggled up to each other. I like to think they genuinely thought the song was touching and made them think of each other, but still had to put their foot down since it wasn't the time or place for it.
What I thought happened was that Ozzie and Fizz view lust and love in the opposite ways everyone else sees them in. They are disgusted by the idea of love, but they have an "aww" feeling when talking about lust.
@@lunamorningstarblaze7668 Idk if it's different in Helluva Boss, but seeing how accurate their positions are, Asmodeus should be a King, just like Paimon.
@@LordDonkara Yea I haven't read it in years and I'm not brushed up on the Greater Key Of Solomon but isn't Paimon and Asmodeus the highest ranking out of the 72 (As king is the highest rank if I am not mistaken)?

I know! Viv does really good with accuracy in a adult cartoon while it’s very subtle. Stolas being an owl and loving to garden with toxic plants and astrology, Asmodious having his other heads and I really hope to see more of what she does since Asmodious is ranked above Stolas it makes sense why Stolas didn’t really try to pull rank to stop the verbal smack downs. She followed Dante’s inferno version of the rings although it might not be fully accurate to what he was saying but it’s a classic and is very well known. It makes me so happy to see all this I can’t wait to see more demons and possibly more of the seven sins I know we are suppose to see Mammon from the 2022 preview.
I like how Helluva Boss started with a few simple comedic acts, and then it slowly shows us how cruel hell, and maybe some aspects of how our world at the moment actually is.
I mean, the show is made to be a world building exercise for Hazbin. Pretty much setting the stage for them to run with that show for longer. Thats why each episode is set in a different ring and builds on the different princes and social structures. Basically its setting Hazbin up so that they dont have to have awkward moments where Charlie or Alastor deals with some demon royalty and you have no idea what the hierarchy or the people they are talking about are
@@empdisaster10 Wait what? Each episode isn't set in a different ring. The only rings that have been called by their name is The Ring of Wrath and in this part one of episode 7, Lust. @@penguim1881 Oh, you know, I just checked. You are right. I just got the impression that Loo Loo Land is in Imp City, which is what led me to believe that I.M.P. is in the Greed ring. My apologies!
I really feel like Blitz doesn't get enough credit for speaking in M&M's defense. He OBVIOULSY knew Fizz was there, and would target him if given even the slightest provocation, but he still spoke out on M&M's behalf. Stand up guy.
Does anyone else just love the way they portrayed Fizz and Ozzie's relationship? It's a little ironic in some parts, considering they're talking about how lust can't equal love- But in some scenes they clearly have a sentimental relationship, especially when Ozzie is clearly upset by Fizz being hit, and then cuddling him afterwards. It's just a funny thing to me, the spirit of lust not exactly listening to his own "rules"
But love can also equal lust, I could lust for my wife and still love her, all lust is, is a strong sexual desire for someone, but moxxies song was purely love based, thats like going to a strip club and asking for a date instead of a lab dance, Ozzie was upset that they weren't obeying the rules, his restaurant is based on entertaining the guests, and his form of entertainment is very lust based, when they heard the love song they weren't entertained, he wanted his guess to be happy so Ozzie gave him a second chance to sing about list and the crowd still wasnt entertained, he only let them finish the song because they were clearly entertained by the end cause they were cheering, ozzie wasnt upset that M&M are in love, hes upset that they ruined the vibe with there love song
Eh dont think he meant Lust cant equal love more like he was annoyed at how pure and gentle the song was when his costumers expected something graphic.
@@user-pi3hd2bt3f that’s what I was thinking too. I mean just by looking at the poles on stage, it’s clearly a strip club as well as a normal club. But the theme is very clear haha
Oh this aged like fine wine. In the trailer it seems that there'll be a drama about Asmodeus, the demon of lust, being a "hypocrite" by being caught lovey-dovey...
In defence of Ozzie, he literally owns the place, so he gets to choose what kinds of songs get played. After Moxie played a romantic song instead of a lustful song, he gave him another chance and tried to help him make a lustful song. And when he called out Stolas, he said he had the spirit of lust, which is a compliment in the list ring. Then, Millie knocks down Fizz, and Ozzie stopped to make sure he was ok, then kicked Moxie and Millie out for almost injuring Fizz.
For a demon lord, Asmodeus is actually kind of a chill dude. I’ll be honest, I’m on his side. Moxxie and Millie should have probably done the research before picking that place for their anniversary. They’re a wholesome and vanilla couple, which is a big no-no in the ring of lust (and specifically Ozzie’s)
I love how Asmodeus is so…demonic. He would push Moxie to spice up his song and to be tempted, but when seeing Stolas basically having a thrist he mocks him in absolute shame. He would push you to sin and then punish you for it. Perfect demon of hell.
At first I was wondering why Stolas, a rich demon prince, is letting himself get pushed around so easily, but in the Ars Goetia mythology Asmodeus is a king who's two ranks above Stolas.
Did not know that, I figured it was because Asmodius was a lust prince as well and it would end poorly if he were to stir up trouble… In the literal house of lust… In the lust ring… Nope, Asmodius is also straight up a higher ranking demon.
What’s kind of funny and interesting is that despite the two of them ridiculing M&M’s more romantic-leaning relationship, Fizz and Oz are shown to have a relationship that’s more reminiscent of two gremlin theatre kid bffs than the hypersexual and physical lust they glorify. Of course, they don’t have to be engaged, but even in their parts of the song, they dance and sing around each other more platonically; reading as sexually aware and active bffs that don’t may or may not get it on with each other but are each other’s hype man. Long story short, M&M and Fizz & Oz have similar relationship vibes, so I like to think that despite Oz’s glorification of sex in public. they do inherently (even if covertly or unconsciously) appreciate less physical relationships. Edit: Also, it’s also kind of seen with the fact the Fizz is there rather than some other more Lust-based demon. Oz is completely fine with being overdramatic with Fizz as well as legitimately caring when the other is hurt and going back to being friendly and snarky when there was no lasting damage.
I think that is the kind of vibe they're going for. I mean Oz stopped everything to care for fizz after millie knocked him out and pretty much let them continue. If all Asmodus cared about was pure lust, he wouldnt have cared much. They also do give the vibe of bff's as they constantly look at each other and play off each other
The denizens of Hell especially those within the Lust Ring will never publicly admit that alongside sexual pleasure they all secretly want emotional intimacy that love can provide
For the literal embodiment of a sin, Asmodeus isn't even too bad of a guy. A guy breaks the rules of his restaurant, so he reminds him of the rules and gives him another chance. He only kicks him out after breaking it again (and his girlfriend knocked his biggest performer nearly unconscious). He also doesn't really judge Stolas for sleeping with an imp, he even celebrates it a bit, though he did judge him a slight bit for cheating on his wife.
The sins from what I can tell are only really bad when you take into consideration of the biggest actual causes of being a terrible person aka being sadistic, uncompassionate or inconsiderate. People can have lust, greed and ect but once they start not caring about people, how others feel and just treat others with cruelty then they are beyond redemption.
@@Rinzeki02I saw a video on that theory, because at the moon feast it was nothing but imps which are below stolas and no body would dare say a thing, but since asmodeus (who out ranks stolas) said something, it basically gave permission for others to jump in
I love how fizz and Asmodeus don't want moxxie to leave immediately and try to get him to lighten up and embrace lust, as well as the fact they deny liking his song but constantly show their enjoyment of it by giving brief expressions of their love relationship I also love how fizzaroli immediately changes tune and starts defending moxxie when blitz starts commenting on his relationship, showing that they were only really trying to get moxxie in the mood of Ozzie's
Is he really defending Moxxie? I think they just decided Blitzie was a new target to mock. I mean Blitzie was actually trying to defend Moxxie, although somewhat badly
@@ryanmccampbell7 well, Blitzo was yet again teasing Moxxie in a bit wrong way and, i mean, Fizzaroli was right. Who was Blitzo to even comment on Millie/Moxxie.
@@bytisoli Asmodeus was the one making fun of Moxxie, he said "get a load of this dweeb and his unsatisfied bride". Blitzo objected to that and defended Moxxie, although because he's Blitzo his attempted compliment came out as kind of sarcastic, because he's basically incapable of being sincere.
@@gracesshitposts Different interpretations I guess. Not sure why he would join with his nemesis in mocking him though; he was shown to be uncomfortable being there in the first place and probably wouldn't have wanted to draw attention to himself except that he took offense to them mocking Moxxie. I think he kind of has an "only I can make fun of him" mentality; he casually teases him all the time in private but still at the end of the day seems to think of him and his other employees as friends/family (possibly because he doesn't have any actual friends)
Small detail but I love how Stolas looks significantly more distressed at the illusion of Octavia as opposed to Stella. While I doubt he ever meant for conflict with Stella or to hurt her, they never loved each other. But Via's his little girl, and Ozzy just slammed him with the fact that he made her home life miserable, all "for a thrust." No wonder he hid his face behind the menu.
Spoiler alert: Heck the most recent episode confirmed their marriage was incredibly toxic. Stolas only tolerated Stella’s behavior so that Octavia could have a normal life, while Stella took immense joy in mocking and belittling him every chance she got.
The way that him and Blitzø exchanged glances is so heartbreaking. You can tell it's at that moment where Blitzø is convinced the relationship really is just a "thrust". Hence why he goes off on Stolas after the car ride back to his house.
Technically Ozzy has that power his job is to shame people who sold there life for a thrust. Especially one of ars goesha he’s a goesha king and a demon prince so he has the power
Coming back to watch this after Oops is really interesting. I noticed that Fizz actually looks to Ozzie quite a lot and reacts when he does. Obviously we knew that there were romantic feelings between the two in this episode but after the latest episode watching this shines a light on how comfortable and reliant the two are which went over my head before now. Made this scene more fun to watch tbh
Also after "Oops" - Ozzie said lust isn't something forced, but to make and satisfie. What sounded like he sees satisfing the lust still needs being careful about partner's boundaries. Maybe it's like with hunger - You can just stuff stomach with anything, but still taste the best if you working about quality of dish: time, efforts, surronding. Similar with lust- quality for satisfing it, would need time and efforts. So at some point it's hard to put line between lust and intimacy.
Nifty touch to have Asmodeus have a night club where people often sing, and seem to take pride in his own musical voice as well. It used to be believed that the mark left on those who made pacts or deals with asmodeus would always come out with impeccable singing voices.
tbf they do enjoy the lovey song at the end, they came in likely because some patrons were complaining to Oz. Like, yeah, it's cute and all, but I don't want my steak covered in sugar, you feel me? Ozzy's is a lustful place and most people were there for the hot dancers and vibe, not to hear about imp romance.
I don't see it as ironic yes they were still hiding in plain sight but at no point are they lying about how they show love they're flamboyant about their affection whereas mox is more old fashioned with showing his they are lovey dovey but more lustful about instead of "I love you" for them it's "I crave and adore you"
an amazing detail about Stolas is that when Asmodeus is roasting him his pupils appear when he watches at Octavia but not for Stella since his prime concern here is his daughter and he couldn't care less about Stella herself
but Ozzi was actually respectful and he was right. His lounge is for lust only, and looking at the crowd you could see that others were displeased by Moxxies love song; and after Moxxie broke that rule, ozzie gave him a second try to actually sing about lust, and then Millie literally knocked his co-worker (and friend) out cold, and he still let Moxxie finish his song before kicking them out. Stan Ozzie
Stolas reaction to Asmodias speaks volumns on the heirarchy, just last episode we saw Stolas go dark, but the Ars Goetia are a lower rank here than the seven deadly sins. Asmodias actually outclasses him.
Actually, if Viv is using other versions of Christian myth, then Asmodeus may be the Lord of the Ars Goetia, as he was a member in one version. That's also where this design comes from: Central head of a Man (replaced by a Demon head), heads of a Bull and a Goat on either side, and the lower half of a rooster.
@@ozzywalker609 Hes a goetic king, which means he still outranks Stolas by 2 ranks (King, then Duke, then Prince). There are still higher ranking Goetic Kings than Asmodeus, but he might be higher in general due to his Deadly Sin status.
Depending on how it’s structured there are various interpretations. I’ve actually done a lot of reading on demons and the Ars Goetia in preparation for a D&D campaign. All depending on the structure of hell, there are either 7 major devils representing a deadly sin (likely this is how it’s structured in Helluva Boss) and either Lucifer is the head of them in charge of -wrath- pride he is just The Devil or he is the closest confidant to the Devil who is a fallen Angel. Though most stories sort of just amalgamate into a hybrid between all of these. Usually making Lucifer The Devil who has begrudgingly accepted his punishment and is in charge of hell. Asmodeus is generally high on the ladder even if he’s a demon of the Ars Goetia (where he’s a king second only to Baal/Bael if memory serves) and he’s usually depicted as a more reasonable demon/devil who tries to kind his own business/domain, and not encroach on that of others. In the Ars Goetia Stolas is a prince (just like in Helluva Boss) and thus is smack in the middle in rank relative to the kings and dukes. I can’t recall if the lower ranked demons of the Ars Goetia are subservient to the demons ranked higher, but I do recall their fondness for their hierarchy though some are more respectful of their masters than others. Such as Berith or Paimon being perhaps the most loyal to Lucifer out of all the demons in the Ars Goetia while the other are just begrudgingly accepting his absolute power and dominion over them. If anyone actually has a formal education in theology please correct me, I’m going of on a lot of different recollections of what I’ve read, and I’m pretty sure I’ve straight up mixed in some D&D lore in here as well.
@@SuperSwordman1 That would be cool, like a different genre per sin. Wrath: Metal (of course xP) Greed: Pop (No idea why its just what fits in my head xD) Pride: Gospel (Love the idea of Lucifer having a kind of dark gospel sounding song akin to Hellfire.) No idea for Envy, Gluttony, or Sloth honestly.
@@BoneBreackKid I imagine Sloth would be deliberately bad, like the Prince put absolutely no effort into it and it shows. Envy blatantly copies the others, occasionally unable to keep up with the original tone of the song. My idea for Pride, as the sin that originates all other sins, is similar to envy in that it reuses parts of the others songs but the lyrics and music are slightly changed to reflect that he’s not just copying, he’s doing his own version of each part, and he gets his own unique verse at the end.
Don't think that's Ozzie looking at Fizz with disappointment, it's him reacting to Moxxie's response; "make gentle love to you." Fizz is also reacting to this comment.
3:34 I really like the detail that Stolas is more concerned with the image of Octavia than with the image of Stella. Sure, he's shocked to see Stella, but he genuinely looks horrified and guilt-ridden when Octavia appears. He really does love his daughter, despite how his life has been because of his relationship with Stella.
And he feels guilt because the family unit is now broken. That Octavia is between the fight of her parents. He truly loves his daughter and the guilt really eats him up inside. Plus the fact that he’s out of his “perfect” marriage and is out with someone who is clearly not his wife.
"More concerned with" I really don't think he gives even a single shit about Stella. He never has. Definitely is a nice touch though further showing what and who he actually cares about. That point also goes along with how he instinctively jumps up out of vicarious offense directed at blitz even though he throughly knew that he needed to keep it low and he immediately got in potentially big trouble for it
3:40 I just noticed how Blitzø looks almost pleadingly at Stolas, and when Stolas hides his face in shame (after having been placed in the spotlight), I think Blitzø takes the song to heart. Stolas seemingly isn't happy to be with Blitzø in public in the same way that M&M are, so Blitzø starts to think that maybe Stolas really does just consider him a "thrust". Which is likely what prompted Blitzø to tell Stolas after the car ride home how he's constantly made it obvious that Stolas simply considers Blitzø to be the imp who bangs him.
Yeah, both have issues expressing their emotions. Blitz struggles connecting with his emotions and sharing them, and opening himself go others. Meanwhile Stolas is well aware of what he feels for blitz, his issue is in communication, as he has proven he also struggles expressing himself to his daughter. So in his aspiration to express passion to blitz he just... Comes out horny and lustful, merely desiring a night of "passionate fornication"
More people need to appreciate Asmodeus, He is ONE of the most powerful beings in ALL of hell, stronger than everyone in that room and in the entire ring of lust. The guy can one or two taps Alastor, can body stolas if he wanted to So he is on an entirely different level of power than everyone in the show, and an IMP, one of the lowest forms of life in hell, disobeyed him and went into his restaurant and sang a song about love when he is the sin of lust. He did not kill, threaten, or curse him even AFTER Milly attacked his friend, whom he cared about; this displays some insane restraint for someone of his status and shows that he does not abuse his power; gotta respect that.
@@shape4234 And even just a threat would have still been a slap on the wrist. As much as I enjoyed his performance, Asmodeus was surprisingly patient and tolerant of someone breaking the rules of his house.
I think that was heavily underwhelming from a demon of the Seven Deadly sins, like holy SHIT that was SOME RESTRAINT. Either that or we're not fully understanding the maturity of the higher power of demons
I love how the design of Asmodeus is basically impossible to dislike, Because he's the prince of lust, so everyone should be somewhat attracted to him.
@@screggyn7776 I can confirm as a previously straight guy this show and community somehow turned me bisexual but I'm not complaining it just gave more options
I have to give props to the design of Asmodeus. Having a more masculine build, eg. wider shoulders and a thinner waist, a deep sensual voice, and imposing stature. Yet having an overall femine hourglass shape in his character design, eccentuated by the flamboyance and his 'heels', feathers, the soft flame around his head, and delicate hands. It appeases to the male and female gaze, bravo.
Asmodeus has a point though: It is a pretty big turn-off to hear a sappy (if sweet) love song at somewhere people go to satisfy their lust. I don't think he a problem with romance, since lust can still exist in love. Just they don't fit his establishment.
Yeah, he literally sung that it just isn't the right place. In fact, I think he himself is also a fan of love. Did you see him and Fizzeroli at 4:35? they're cringing at it because it's a bit too much but they never told Moxxie his song was bad, nessecarily. However they're still pieces of shit for singing to everyone about Blitzo and Stolas's issues.
@@Stick_and_stone ON THIS NOTE! I would like to mention that Ozzie doesn't really bring him down about sleeping with an imp, because the situation is parctically mirrored, a high up prince dating an imp. Ozzie doesn't bash him about dating an imp, more of leaving his family and giving into lust.
@@Stick_and_stone I 100% agree there. Though with how Ozzy values Lust he might have meant it as compliments, even if it is backhanded ones that embarrass them.
@@heartsfrombris that also follows the idea of Lust in a Dantean tradition. In the Inferno, the lovers being punished weren't people who had lots of sex, but people who's love and desire drove them to act against what would be considered the morally "rational" thing to do (i.e. not cheating on your wife). As Ozzie says: "You sold your life for a thrust/ Now thats the spirit of Lust"
Headcanon that Blitzø ran away from Verosika the first time she told him she loved him because he's just so scared of commitment and genuine affection, and she's so bitter about it because Blitzø was the first person SHE ever loved.
I find this to be likely. Once the relationship seemed to be getting too intimate, Blitzo probably freaked out and all his insecurities exploded, making him act irrationally and peace out on her in the worst, most dickish way possible.
@@SnowyWolborg So he stole her credit card, left in the middle of the night, and got horse riding lessons. Maybe because his ultimate goal was to escape life and be alone on a ranch -- with just his horses? Animals that could never make a conscious choice to leave him? 🤔
Gotta give props to Moxie, guy does NOT give into peer pressure. Not even the *embodiment of Lust* heckling him in front of a crowd could get him to change his song. He wrote that song for Millie and he’s gonna sing it for Millie. edit: Also am I the only one who wanted to hear the entire song Moxie was singing? It started a little rough for me but when he got into it he was pretty good.
And bouncing off of ep6 where Blitzø told him he cares too much about what people think of him, and he needs to trust in himself more. Really great character work, A+ for following through on an arc.
Notice how Asmodeus wasn't necessarily prohibiting Moxxie from singing, he just wanted him to sing a sexually explicit song! All Moxxie had to do was sing a Cupcakke song! 😂
Blitzø was definitely upset Stolas didn't stick up for him. Like when Fizz said Blitzøs love life was shit her looked at Stolas for a second and looked back. And when Stolas hides his face, and when Stolas indeed confirms "he sold his life for a thrust" by hiding his face Blitzø is clearly a little hurt by that. Even at the end when Stolas looks Blitzø , Blitzø clearly looks away maybe frustrated and ashamed. the exact opposite of Moxxie and Millie.
It’s complicated, he was being humiliated in public too. The beginning of the relationship was just that really (it’s not like they lied) AND it’s difficult to stand up for someone that not only shows no signs of interest in you but that was using you at that moment for something (he didn’t know exactly what, but Blitz clearly wasn’t there to have a proper date with him). Both sides as super messed up. I really hope both characters receive the development they deserve.
@@yvngjay3925 I interpreted it differently. Stolas stood up and in doing so attracted attention towards himself. Stolas has a reputation as a member of nobility, and Blitz - that asked him out just so he could enter the club and spy on M&M - looks to me as experiencing guilt, not resentment. The next part is Blitzø driving Stolas home in his van. Stolas can teleport and Blitz could've told him to go home on his own (sequence: them fighting outside the club). We instead get a ride home, which is an occasion and a demonstration of caring.
I feel like asmodeus is just being a good host. He isn’t mad at moxie, in fact I feel like him and fizz likes m&m’s love, but it’s ruining lustful vibe for the guests, so to make sure they don’t leave he had to step in. Think about it, they gave moxxie a chance to sing that would fit the vibe better, if he really doesn’t like moxxie he could’ve done worse, he is the ruler of the place ffs! He could literally get away with murder if he so pleases, so the fact that he basically just politely made them leave even after Millie hurted fizz is kindness in my eyes. I think asmodeus knows that love and lust is connected, and in fact appreciates love (ffs just look how Ozzie and fizz act together throughout the video, that’s not just lust.), but moxxie was ruining the business, probably souring the experience for some of the guests, so he had to make them leave.
Whilst I agree with everything you said, I’d like to point out Fizzarolli said something along the lines of, “Only little b*tches strum the strings from their hearts.” They also continued making fun of him after he was given the chance to sing again.
You are so, SO wrong about love… love and lust are not NEARLY connected. Maybe you could use the word “romance” but not love. When you truly love someone you don’t want to f*** them. True love is when you say that you love your parents, humanity, animals, etc, or are you implying that those who love their friends/parents/siblings/animals want to **** with them? Real love can be compared with sisterhood/brotherhood. It’s like accepting one another and realizing that all people are sisters and brothers to each other. It’s a purely platonic feeling. There’s no place for pheromones and sexual attraction in real love.
@@jackapps2126 not you implying that a couple who loves each other couldnt possibly have any s3xual attraction. Seriously tho what even is this take? There are different kinds of love. Love isn't just one thing

Two additional heads (one of a sheep and one of a bull), jagged teeth, rooster’s feathers, and goat’s legs. Only things that are missing is a serpent’s tail and human face, but I can understand them being removed for the sake of character design.
My god I didn’t know he was actually modeled after an actual demon prince

he was said to have fire coming from his mouth so that could be the design of his mouth and head. other than that the seals (moxxie stands on one during his song and stollas has his on his house in the pilot) seem to be the same as the actual ancient lore as well.
Truthfully? The Ars Goetia are a form of secondary royalty, who lead the imp legions of hell. According to folklore, Stolas leads 3 ''mighty battelions of imps'' to cast his knowledge of the stars upon.

Stand up guy.
I always so impressed of how well animated Ozzie is in this song, like especially his second part of the song the acting animation is excellent
That little cuddle kills me every time.

He even let Moxxie finish singing DESPITE Millie just about knocking Fizz out! Ozzie is a bro
that's asmodeus blud
For a demon lord, Asmodeus is actually kind of a chill dude. I’ll be honest, I’m on his side. Moxxie and Millie should have probably done the research before picking that place for their anniversary.

The sins from what I can tell are only really bad when you take into consideration of the biggest actual causes of being a terrible person aka being sadistic, uncompassionate or inconsiderate.
Spoiler alert:
Heck the most recent episode confirmed their marriage was incredibly toxic.

So at some point it's hard to put line between lust and intimacy.

tbf they do enjoy the lovey song at the end, they came in likely because some patrons were complaining to Oz. Like, yeah, it's cute and all, but I don't want my steak covered in sugar, you feel me? I don't see it as ironic yes they were still hiding in plain sight but at no point are they lying about how they show love they're flamboyant about their affection whereas mox is more old fashioned with showing his they are lovey dovey but more lustful about instead of "I love you" for them it's "I crave and adore you"
They're demons - a double standard is part of the package. They're allowed to be hypocritical (and adorable).
an amazing detail about Stolas is that when Asmodeus is roasting him his pupils appear when he watches at Octavia but not for Stella since his prime concern here is his daughter and he couldn't care less about Stella herself
but Ozzi was actually respectful and he was right.
There are still higher ranking Goetic Kings than Asmodeus, but he might be higher in general due to his Deadly Sin status.
asmodias IS actually a ars goetia XD so what you mean ?
@@obesus787 Well, you’re correct on Lucifer being the head of the Seven Deadly Sins, but he’s the Prince of Pride. Satan is the Prince of Wrath.

@@SuperSwordman1 That would be cool, like a different genre per sin.
Wrath: Metal (of course xP)
Greed: Pop (No idea why its just what fits in my head xD)

No idea for Envy, Gluttony, or Sloth honestly.
@@BoneBreackKid
Gluttony would be Rap.

I love how when Fizz lists off kinks, Asmodeus looks at him disappointed/ annoyed and Fizz gets a sheepish look on his face
Didn’t notice that the first few times. I guess Ozzie prefers to keep things classy.

Plus the fact that he’s out of his “perfect” marriage and is out with someone who is clearly not his wife.
that is absolutely correct
Well his ex wife doesnt seem to be a person you would want to hang around with anyway.
its these little details that vivzie and her team adds which make helluva boss so good
"More concerned with" I really don't think he gives even a single shit about Stella. He never has. Definitely is a nice touch though further showing what and who he actually cares about. That point also goes along with how he instinctively jumps up out of vicarious offense directed at blitz even though he throughly knew that he needed to keep it low and he immediately got in potentially big trouble for it
0:07 it’s barely noticeable, but you can see Moxxie’s hand shaking with hesitance before starting. I love this kind of attention to details.
I've seen every episode multiple times and I'm still catching little details like this each time, good catch!!

Yeah, and you can even pinpoint the scene where his heart breaks in half 3:45
Yeah, both have issues expressing their emotions. Blitz struggles connecting with his emotions and sharing them, and opening himself go others. Meanwhile Stolas is well aware of what he feels for blitz, his issue is in communication, as he has proven he also struggles expressing himself to his daughter. So in his aspiration to express passion to blitz he just... Comes out horny and lustful, merely desiring a night of "passionate fornication"
That one scene BREAKS HIM
It took me a moment to realize M&M meant "moxxie and millie" 💀
@@cardboard8370 xDDD
He did threaten them to get out.
@@sammuelmccall56789 Telling someone to get the f*UCK out isn’t a threat

Having a more masculine build, eg. wider shoulders and a thinner waist, a deep sensual voice, and imposing stature.

It interestingly somewhat looks like the “real” Asmodeus.

His face literally said "Oh shit, _that's_ his ex? There's no way I can compete with her."
The fact asmodeus and fizz liked the song but didn't want to admit it
I think blitzo was ashamed stolatz didn't stand up for him when he said you sold your life for a thrust.
He wasn't wrong, though. That is how their relationship started. What is there to say?
And Asmodeus is The Prince of Lust. Above him
Blitzø was definitely upset Stolas didn't stick up for him.
Ladies and Gentlemen I give you the budget for this episode. Worth every penny.
Worth every second waited
Worth every frame
I think the budget for episode 6 was worth a little more because you got different styles (especially Mox’s trip) but this episode was phenomenal
Yup, had it been another demon (even a sinner or an overlord) and they would have crushed moxxie instead of just kicking him out
Whilst I agree with everything you said, I’d like to point out Fizzarolli said something along the lines of, “Only little b*tches strum the strings from their hearts.” They also continued making fun of him after he was given the chance to sing again.
