He actually looks hurt to even think about calling Blitz a motherfucker even though (unbeknownst to Stolas) he wasn't around. Damn, never knew Stolas had rock in him. Verosika actually seems like a good character that’s just heartbroken. This is my favorite episode in season 2 so far.
I actually love the bit where Stolas starts wondering if the blame is on him for misreading Blitzo's signals. Because the blame was equally on Stolas for being oblivious to how he made Blitzo feel and how much he rushed trying to change things. But Verosika endorses his grief by repeating "no, no, HE'S a motherf***er", shifting the attention exclusively to how he made Stolas feel and making it sound like he's entirely at fault for everything falling apart, preventing Stolas from realizing his own mistakes and naivety in favor of positive change. It really exposes how break-up song tend to demonize the other side of a relationship so one can bask in grief and feel validated without recognizing their own shortcomings.

It's so well done. They picked a song that showed his frustration yet kept him perfectly in character: hurt, but unable to hide that he still has feelings and inevitably falling into self-doubt and guilt. Verosika tried a few times in the episode to get him into a full "I hate Blitzo, it's all his fault" mode, and he always backed off from it. He's upset and in pain but can't actually _hate_ Blitz. I'm glad they've kept some self-awareness in him that considers he might've messed up, too.

Absolutely beautiful. HARD David Bowie vibes. The last thirty seconds you could feel *both* of their pain at themselves, towards each other, and their situation.
i just realized that this is kind of a reference to when stolas and blitz first met. as kids stolas looked at blitz perform in awe, and its reversed here, towards the start (granted its a lot sadder here because blitz is more surprised that stolas is going to the lengths to sing about him), we see blitz looking at stolas almost in awe
Oh, shit, you're right! Adding this to my list of parallels in this episode that were probably intentional. This song shares some significant callbacks to Just Look My Way - Stolas "pulling back the curtain" hiding his feelings as he walks into the space-themed place that seems to represent his inner thoughts, and the way he eventually falls upside-down much like how he did in that song. I know later in the ep, the scene where Blitz interrupts him drinking and he does a spittake is also reminiscent of the way he chocked on the absinthe when Blitz first got captured trying to break into his palace. Unfortunately for Blitz, it seems he's always having moments/realizations just a hair too late.
@@Caldella i just had another sort of idea, in the end where we see them as kids then as adults, the heart on kid blitz's head turns into a broken heart when he's an adult. what if this is also hinting that in order to love himself or anyone else and maintain a relationship, hes going to need to try and face his trauma and recover from it (we see blitz watching his past in the s2 trailer), maybe the only way he'll be able to love himself or others is if he makes up with his sister and maybe acknowledges how shitty his past was and try to heal from it, would be an interesting blitz development plotline
@alexmoment3 I think trying to improve himself is a major, MAJOR part of the show esp moving forward. For that scene, though, I think it represented Stolas' feelings at that point. He's convinced that any actual heartfelt emotions were only on his side, so he's having a realization that what he thought were fond memories they both had, as far back as childhood, were false and actually mean nothing to Blitzø.
Dont listen to them, no relationship experience myself, but i hope your doing well, be it mentally, physically, whatever, hope that your doing well regardless
Honestly, Disney hasn’t felt like Disney in a minute. Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss is the closest thing we’ve gotten to the Disney Spirit in years on top of it being the closest we’ll ever get to R-rated Disney.
I don't think Blitz treated Stolas horribly. The only way Blitz could do his job was by having sex with Stolas and Stolas played into that for his own twisted desires. It becomes even more disgusting when you imagine Blitz as a girl. A woman in the lower-ranks wants to pursue her dream of running a company and a rich man higher in the ranks says he's willing to support her in a sort of 'favours for favours' as long as she spends one night every month in bed with him.
Its one of those rare moments in humanity where you truly can feel the love and compassion for others when the rest of the world is in chaos. Its about the small moments
Also, I really relate to Stolas in this song, being as loyal as possible to only find out they never cared about you or your feelings from the very start and getting treated like shit by that person for having feelings for them, that has happened to me multiple times to where it's pathetic at this point
This entire episode was definitely painful to watch, seeing Blitz hit absolute rock bottom, and trying to make a start to amend his wrongdoings, seeing the pain both Stolas and Blitz were dealing with, and then Stolas began to sing this absolute gem of song, it had me sobbing. 😢
Going through the worst breakup of a toxic relationship where saying I wasn't treated good isint enough to explain and this song helps me process my emotions. I hope I can heal.
Yet another Stolas banger. I love his voice in this song so much! Weve heard plenty of his emotional voice before but its usually so well controlled and maintained. This looser vocal style works soooo well!!
*I feel you Stolas. He really let out his inner Emotions & “Blitz finally gets on how Serious Stolas wanted him” and how he screwed it up in the End.* 😞 🥺

Got to say, that the visual of Stolas sitting and waiting infront of the rotating sun and moon are my favourite EVER. His expressions, the smooth transitions and the waves are just so picture perfect!

This episode was a blast, absolutely loved it for eternal percent so thanks for this as I want to learn to sing it oh SO much so this is perfection!! What do you think how the story will go on? \(^-^)/ Greetings, Paula ;D
This song is an absolute bop, Bryce Pinkham's voice is all so amazing mixing with Cristina Vee (Verosika) and James Monroe Iglehart (Vortex). Plus this song is also a FUCKING MOOD! I didn't wanna be reminded by a recent experience, but fuck! Absolutely one of Helluva Boss' greatest songs ever.
I ADOREE the visuals during 1:15. It's such an amazing drawback to my drama/theatre classes and our rehearsals on stage, which is perfect theming considering Stolas is singing his heart out on a stage right after Blitz thought his affection was all an act. I also really love the sun's/moon's visuals. The stained glass look is gorgeous lighting, especially for a character like Stolas reflecting on his past self.
The part at the end of the song was a great way to highlight the dysfunctional part of the relationship. Being able to emotionally start the relationship quickly but connecting emotionally is hard so the relationship doesn't go anywhere or lasts long.
Lyrics: "I let you get to close, I let you go to far. now I know, now I know, now I know exactly what you are. Na na na na na na a motherf***. Na na na na na na a motherf***. Na na na na na na a motherf***. I let it go to long, I let you go to deep. Now I know, now I know, now I know there's one thing I can't keep. But I, I keep on waiting, waiting to want you, that's what I do, and I do, oh I do, yes I still do want you. But maybe its all on me, for missing every sign, every glance, every...turn. No no no no he's a motherf**. Maybe there's something here for us to gling for you to teach and me to try to learn. No no no no he's a motherf**. cuz, Darling your a thief, but you were mine to earn. What if I came out too strong? What if I read this so wrong? What if we just don't belong? All this what if, what if, what if, what if, what if, what if, Wha, wha, wha, wha, wha, wha, makes me burn! I think she looks like Kiki, a succubus from Verosika's crew.
She is left handed as well, a thing not very common, I am learning left handed bass at the moment, it is very cool to see that!
@@bmx_bros5288 oh I didn’t realize that- thank you for the info
That's Kiki 😋😋
i just realized that this is kind of a reference to when stolas and blitz first met. as kids stolas looked at blitz perform in awe, and its reversed here, towards the start (granted its a lot sadder here because blitz is more surprised that stolas is going to the lengths to sing about him), we see blitz looking at stolas almost in awe
I just got out of a relationship of 8 years and this really really hits…

Honestly the pain in blitz eyes when he realized how he hurt stolas..just shows how much he cares 😭
2:05 this part looks so GOOD! The vocals, the animation! So awesome!
I GASPED AT HOW GOOD THIS SONG WAS FR
That song is unbelievable for Stolas with guitars!
This song has like, Disney vibes to it
Was waiting for the moment someone uploaded this too
Same
i couldnt wait so i did
reminds me of peter pan
Honestly, Disney hasn’t felt like Disney in a minute. Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss is the closest thing we’ve gotten to the Disney Spirit in years on top of it being the closest we’ll ever get to R-rated Disney.
Yo your pfp is Noel from RTC?
Please Bryce Pinkham needs a voice arts award. His delivery is actually perfect
2:28 I think he finally realized how he felt instead of taking it as just sex talk..damn 😭
This is the _second_ time Stolas has had an emotionally charged song with a distorted guitar, by the way.
I feel dumb asking this.... What was the first one?
@@Tori-Chan_Or_Bird-Chan You Will Be Okay from Loo Loo Land.
@@SavouryGalette thanks... I understand why I forgot that one as it's been a while since I watched that episode or listened to just the song.
2:57 i cant look at this part, seeing blitz so upset and angry at himself because of the way he treated stolas is so sad.
Can’t get over Tex’s little split-second smile at 0:20
0:04 when the eletric guitar picks up holy shit i love it
0:50 Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn
Omg I see them in the left next to BLITZ∅
1:16 BUT I, I KEEP ON WAIIIITTTTIIINNNGGGG
Bryce Pinkham is such a good actor and a singer
I swear, it’s just that part and line alone that scratches the good side of my brain. Sorry, I didn’t know a regular way to phrase that.
its honestly my favorite part
Favorite part
This short part is my brain food.
At 2:24 you can just SEE the moment it hits blitzø when he Realized how truly bad he has screwed up, he is truly at rock bottom
0:11 What I am is crying in my bed after this episode
Me too ♥️
The bit at 0:34 is way too soothing. One of my favourite songs.
Real that specific type of note where it goes down pitch 3 times per word and on the last it goes down halfway it's so good it gives me chills
Its one of those rare moments in humanity where you truly can feel the love and compassion for others when the rest of the world is in chaos.
Its about the small moments
First person to post the song! Saved it and listening on repeat! Thanks
not first person to post it but ok
@@Pepplay33 Yep, I guess the first was FluffyGunz or some other guy, not sure
FRRRRRR
I expected a lot of things from this episode…
A STOLAS PUNK-ROCK BALLAD WAS NOT ONE OF THEM BUT GOD I NEEDED IT
This song, along with "Over You," are the _BEST_ songs in the ENTIRE season thus far, in my opinion. :3.
Two Minutes Notice is so freakin good too
Every song seems better than the last honestly XD
he's so relatable 🦉 that part about waiting to want them less, blaming myself, ALL THE WHAT IFS AND WHYS.
That part with them playing as kids just twists the knife in everybody’s hearts 😭
The way Stolas sang this song was so amazing and passionate! I mean he always sang beautifully before but DAMN…..
1:55 best part❤

For real
OH MY GOD REAL IVE LISTENED TO THE SAME PART FOR AN HOUR NOW 😭
Yeeessss❤
how much did you replay this?
me: yes
honestly i think this is the best hellvua boss song so far
We're all oversteeped, he's just pouring the tea for us by singing his soul out!
1:40 gets me shivering every single time when he says.. "here" i know no one that can put this much émotion in one note except him
0:27 to 0:52 , WOW WOW WOW. Took me to early Radiohead and Blink-182 in the best way. Loved this part. Made my little rocker heart happy
0:50 You can see Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn in the crowd !
those are 2 of verosika’s sluts/crew members :D
don't see them
@@Solar3clipz besides Blitz two imps wearing their outfits
Unironically my favorite song of the show. Holy fuck.
Why is every character in this show so attractive in some way
Also, I really relate to Stolas in this song, being as loyal as possible to only find out they never cared about you or your feelings from the very start and getting treated like shit by that person for having feelings for them, that has happened to me multiple times to where it's pathetic at this point
Lyrics (if someone could tell me if it's accurate, english is not my main language
I think the line before "what if I came on too strong" is "but you were mine to earn"
@@krystalcasey Yep seems like it! Thanks

Well done otherwise!
tysm for this bulba, i was waiting for someone to upload the full song. Also, this is a bop, and will definitely play this nonstop 🫶
2:03 it just gets better after this part
Going through the worst breakup of a toxic relationship where saying I wasn't treated good isint enough to explain and this song helps me process my emotions. I hope I can heal.
Yet another Stolas banger.
I love his voice in this song so much! Weve heard plenty of his emotional voice before but its usually so well controlled and maintained. This looser vocal style works soooo well!!
*I feel you Stolas. He really let out his inner Emotions & “Blitz finally gets on how Serious Stolas wanted him” and how he screwed it up in the End.* 😞 🥺
1:12 my favorite part of the song
same
Makes sense because it slaps super hard
I hate that I came back to it and laughed hella hard 😂
I'm so depressed after these past 2 episodes...😭💔
And we gotta wait till October to get even more depressed 😔

Got to say, that the visual of Stolas sitting and waiting infront of the rotating sun and moon are my favourite EVER. His expressions, the smooth transitions and the waves are just so picture perfect!
IMO this is by far the BEST HELLAVERSE song hands down! The build up around 1:54 is just incredible ❤
Look My Way, House of Asmodeus, 2 Minutes Notice are just the tiniest bit better imo
Dear Bulba, just saw you in the comments of this irreplaceable episode, this has gotta be one of my absolute favourites from Stolas, if not THE favourite as Stolas‘s voice has evolved oh SO much and the way he also goes into his purple demon form… 1:30 THIS IS A MASTERPIECE BRYCE IS THE BEST and this trio fits so magically well together!! This episode was a blast, absolutely loved it for eternal percent so thanks for this as I want to learn to sing it oh SO much so this is perfection!! What do you think how the story will go on? \(^-^)/ Greetings, Paula ;D
Absolutely loved seeing Vortex sing! Can't wait to see him more episodes
“and I keep on waiting to want you less than I do“ SOBBING
dude this song feels fucking raw after "mastermind"
Finally got my friend to watch helluva boss and now they’re obsessed with this song :D
The fact that we have to wait 4 months for the next episode 😢
yea 😢😢😢
Still ain’t the longest we’ve waited tho, plus we’ll still have the shorts so I’m quite content
I love how Vortex also does the background vocals :D
I love hearing this side of Stolas, with the more rock n roll energy
Same.
He needs more songs like this. It shows his range so much better.
THE “I dont think you meant to hurt me, cause I think you meant a thing at all” GOES FUCKING HARD EVEN THO ITS SAD-
1:44 woagh, good part :o
This song is an absolute bop, Bryce Pinkham's voice is all so amazing mixing with Cristina Vee (Verosika) and James Monroe Iglehart (Vortex). Plus this song is also a FUCKING MOOD! I didn't wanna be reminded by a recent experience, but fuck! Absolutely one of Helluva Boss' greatest songs ever.
me after watching mastermind👁️👄👁️
Lyrics:
"I let you get to close, I let you go to far. now I know, now I know, now I know exactly what you are. Na na na na na na a motherf***. Na na na na na na a motherf***. I don't think you meant to hurt me cause I don't think it meant a thing at all. at all, at all, at all, at all, at all, at all, at all, at all to you.. Oh I don't think you meant to hurt me cause I don't think it meant a thing at all. well did it? No not at all.. Not a goddam thing. At all, at all, at all...At all, at all, at all, at all, at all to you..! Na na na na na na..The motherf***, Na na na na na na, the motherf***! Na na na na na na..The motherf***..
The character development on blitzo is crazy and one of the reasons I love this show so mutch!❤️
