The divorce in progress and knowing Stolas’s situation, I stand by my original comment cuz I love Stolas but he’s treated Blitzø like a toy from the get go. Him being upset now cuz Blitzø doesn’t see his affection as genuine is understandable but he set the standard for their relationship going forward when he called Blitzø in the middle of a job telling him if he wanted to keep his job then he needed to start making monthly visits to his bedroom

I feel like not enough people are realizing how hard this very episode was for Blitz too. 11:21 He stepped up for Moxxie and Millie but not one of the three actually tried to defend him. Fizz instigates and Verosika jumps in with a pitchfork. M&M was speechless/quiet, Blitz felt like Stolas was ashamed to be seen with him--which makes Blitz feel even more undeserving of affection, and add to that, maybe, the guilt of inviting Stolas there only to be publicly shamed along with him.
Exactly my thought. I feel like no one notices the shock in Blitzø’s face when Stolas hides his face in embarrassment after Ozzie makes a comment about their relationship…
And how his voice broke when he was telling Stolas was just him wanting Blitzø to f him and how he makes it clear all the time. I really felt for him there.

Blitz also has a photo album with only the happiest memories he has (like Loona's adoption for example) - the fact that a night with Stolas is in the same album just proves that he truly does feel happy with him, just doesn't think he can do anything about it to not ruin it all again. Very sad detail :(

@@friendlyneighborhoodinquis1682 it seems more related to his mom. As a root problem. Then look at him and Fizzarolli. Fizzarolli left him behind as he became more popular. I don't doubt that he was the one who carved out acts for Blitzo here and there but the resentment between them grew so bad that Fizz just left him behind and that left Blitzo feeling deeply betrayed.....even though it was his own resentment at Fizzarolli that dissolved their relationship. I think this goes back to episode 6 and how his hallucination of Fizzarolli threw him into the mud, how he interprets being left behind as his childhood friend turned lover gained success and abandoned him. Then a rebound with a popular pop singer in Verosika, but he never really liked her. His face in the picture seems like it is meant for someone else. He doesn't look cool, he looks bitter and venomous. He was just using her, her body to try and forget Fizzarolli and her status to hit back at his ex. Blitzo has an awful history that he pretty much made himself. And he fucking knows it.
But what we don't know or get or understand is his relationship with his mom and how that started everything. Except...maybe....just a thought. His mom looks really sad. Her children are all smiles and happy but she looks...depressed.
And it just crossed my mind writing this. But what if his mom killed herself...

Its like Blitzø is trying to learn more about Millie and Moxxie’s relationship so he can be a better person in relationships in the future. I’ve never had liked Blitz back in the other episodes and only liked Loona and Millie because of how badass and cool they were. But this episode made Blitzø my favourite comfort character.

However, do you remember Millie calling him "his boyfriend"? Stolas cheering for him at the big event? Stolas proud of him when he won? Or how Stolas saved him on Earth, saying that their agreement could lead to consequences for him? Stolas' behaviour does include him using the book to get Blitz in his bed, but we cannot ignore the attempts to have something more. He divorced his wife, he was genuinely happy to go out on a date, he himself is a dork who don't know what to do for real. I can't see him as evil in his actions, toxic yes, but also inexperienced when it comes to relationships. The marriage with Stella was likely arranged, so has he ever had the chance to explore what he likes?

Stolas didn’t abandon blitz even after he was mocked openly. He’s a real one. I have hope for them
Didn't stand up for him either though. If he had, it might have given more of a reason for blitzo to think his intentions were less about sex and more because he actually cared.
This episode triggered a rant from me, I just explained to my significant other why Stolitz shouldn't work from Stolas' side and why Blitz isn't emotionally stable enough to change their relationship right now.

@@Lauer5Lynn Assume we want a healthy relationship. Let's start with the simple problem first; Stolas using his book to keep blitz chained to him has to change. Stolas is a prince so he is used to things being given to him, Stella was probably an arranged marriage, he can get into clubs without reservation etc. He also doesn't recognize other peoples emotions as in episode 2 with Octavia. Blitz most likely feels trapped since without that book Blitz can't pay M&M, he can't pay his bills, he can't pay Loona. Episode 5 he believes it is a transactional ****ing.
On to the Blitz. Episode six, we know he hates himself and is prone to self-destruction, He wants to change and is, slowly. Episode 7 the opening he treats Moxxie without criticism. A step in the right direction but the baggage he carries needs work, we see from his photos he doesn't want to self reflect and on his phone we see all his past failed relationships and the sight of his sister and I assume his mother just sets him off. Based on that alone I'm going to say he doesn't or can't see his mother anymore.
At 2:13 you can see on the newspaper that blitzø is reading has a extermination angle on it in one part

hi, i don’t know if anyone will care but i’ll say it anyway. in august 2023 i was really bad because of a situation that i had with someone i liked. that month was really hard for me, hard to the point where i stopped eating for several days and had a big weight on my chest during each. i couldn’t sleep correctly either. the situation i was in reminded me of the one that blitzø and stolas were in, and i remembered that the soundtrack at the end of episode 7 was really catchy, really calm and nice to hear. so every night that i couldn’t sleep i used to put this soundtrack just to fall asleep. it really helped. and now that i listen to it again, im kinda happy this was here, it really helped. i don’t know who i need to thank so i’ll just thank Vivienne Medrano and SpindleHorse. thanks for creating this soundtrack that helped me through so much and thanks for making me feel better, even for a little amount of time. Helluva Boss will always have a big place in my heart. i love you all ❤

I feel that many people, while they say that it is heartbreaking to see all this happening, as someone who aspires to be a storywriter myself, it doesn't take that much foresight and intellect to see that Viv and the crew will inevitably have things work out for Blitzo and Stolas because they set this episode up the way they did. They made it specifically that Moxxie and Millie had an outing to this place where they introduced Asmodeus, both as a character and as a plot device to hint at the conflict of the relationship of Blitzo and Stolas coming to a head. And using retrospective knowledge, knowing that Asmodeus has the legal authority and ability to travel to and from the living world, it's very easy to see that either A, Viv and the crew (I don't know the other people's names I'm sorry for any perceived disrespect) have Blitzo and Stolas eventually work out their issues and become a couple akin to how Moxxie and Millie are, or B, they'll have the conflict only deepen and as a result, have a somewhat perfect mirroring of Blitzo and Stolas, and Ozzie and Fizz, because using details picked up from each of the scenes, Fizzaroli and Blitzo, from my observations of having rewatched the show 26 times and counting, seem to always mirror one another. Starting from the Circus Fire, Fizzaroli was more badly wounded than Blitzo, but in the end, Fizz was more successful, and Blitzo has to work harder than Fizz does, Fizz has a better relationship with Asmodeus than Blitzo does with Stolas, regardless of the fact that both Fizz and Ozzie are thirsty, lustful demons while Blitzo and Stolas, both of them being Thirsty and Lustful demons, their relationship as of late is *only* the sexual encounters that they have, and as a result, you have a near perfect mirror between these two couples. While the other option, very easily accessible, it also just goes to show that the Pareto Principle, no matter the medium, no matter the type, the Pareto Principle basically dominates anything and everything, even when it comes to storytelling, because 20% of your story has caught the attention of the views, but nearly 80% of it is seen by the loyal viewers.

One beautiful detail: Blitz constantly wears -what appears to be- his mothers brooch. He wears it normally in every episode, but In this episode during the night out it's his belt buckle. That red skull means a lot to this imp.
I personally think his Mom got exterminated by those Angels around New Year as part of the yearly de-populating of Hell, when Blitzø was younger.

I love everything about this episode, Moxxie and Millie relationship, Millie being a badass, Asmodeus and Fizzy leving out small hints of their relationship, Stolas feeling happy for once, even if it was not what he expected and ended up bad. Even Verosika addition was excellent. Hell even Blitz remembered to tell Asmodeus and Fizzy they are hypocrites (on the Mammon episode) because of what they did to Moxxie and Millie here.
When Blitzø asked Stolas about how fast he could get down to Lust, I was half expecting the camera to pan just a bit to the side to reveal Stolas standing right next to him, a trail of flames behind him.
That would be really fun and half expected! XD

Man the ending when blitz was going through his pictures you can see of him with m&m going to verosika and fizz when they were kids too. his mom and his sister(or at least that's what I believe they are.) in one of the episodes verosika stated "your sister says hi" from when she was in rehab that kinda stuck on me and I've been expecting to see the sister soon. But that last picture that blitz saw that made him start crying.. that hit home. And holy hell... for a split second you see a little bit of blitz past that made him happy.. and now tears him apart.. freaking love this show!

What really gets me is when Stolas says goodnight at the end and calls him Blitz instead of Blitzy, that hit hard.
He actually calls him that the whole time they're at the club, but blitzø doesn't pay attention to stolas being respectful to him which was why stolas appeared nervous at the start, and even then he still tried to keep a conversation going until the fiasco happened.

I just realised something after rewatching this episode for the tenth time. Blitzo isn't saying he doesn't want more from Stolas... Which I misunderstood from my first few watchings. His exact words "don't act like what we have is anything more than you wanting me to fuck you". At first I thought he was saying that their relationship is nothing more than sex, but in truth he's saying "I know you don't want more from me because who could ever love me". He can't see Stolas' advance as anything more than him wanting sex. He think Stolas invited him to stay because he wanted it to end in bed. While Stolas genuinely wanted to spend time with Blitzo... Makes it all the more tragic

At least thats my theory. I think he got betrayed. By his best friend Fizzaroli and maybe his twin sister also betrayed him. Stolas never had a date with someone he likes, that explains everything about his nervous attitude. Also, it's like Fizz says later "no one puts that much effort for a cheap fuck", a fancy rich guy who can make portals go anywhere endures a ride on a dirty van where he barely fits.... It's quite obvious he's sincere, but I understand Blitzø, Sotlas has made derogatory comments about imps and he's super condescending in his way of talking to him. Both are too immerse in their own feelings here, they need to put themselves into each other shoes, which seems it's already happening with Stolas in Just Look My Way. Now they need to communicate openly what they're thinking.
I'm also confused with some comments from fans who consider the romantic story as loosing track of the original plot... I mean, since chapter 2 Stolas start to develop his story and all his interactions with Blitzø are consistent with what happens later. This always was the main love story.
God stolas always sounds so genuinely happy whenever he’s around blitz. His mood takes a complete 180 when blitz asks him out and his day is already so much better. To me, he’s always been portrayed as a power figure who does love blitz but still has this demeanor of “superiority” you could say. But this opening sequence and Stolas’s scrambling for the phone really humanize him for me and makes him feel less like a stiff character. This show is masterful in character portrayal. You don’t get art like this from corporations anymore

Stolas is wild. Like, he SHOULD have all the power in the dynamic, but he's a bottom, and Blitz can effortlessly devastate him by being a dick. Stolas is probably my favorite character though, just so humanized for being an elite among elites.

I just noticed in Blitzø's house. His face is marked out on a lot of the photos which makes me believe he is self-conscious about himself or under values his life alone because he hasn't been able to find a healthy relationship like Moxxie and millie have which was the reason why he adopted Luna to possible try to share his love to her as a parent but she really doesn't take it granted a lot.

That's actually a key trait of Blitz that can be spotted in nearly every episode. I'm guessing something happened in his past that, probably around his parents, that left him incapable of understanding what a healthy relationship looks like. Which is why he keeps spying on Millie and Moxxie, cause their relationship is the kind he is striving for, but has no idea how to achieve.
He has a pathological desire for family relations, and adopting Loona is, technically speaking, a symptom.
Chances are Stolas will be his way towards the goal, but Blitz still sees himself as Stolas' plaything. I'm guessing there will at least be a couple of episodes where the two of em gradually figure out how they feel- Stolas realizing he actually deeply cares for Blitz, and Blitz figuring it out and managing a sort of relationship with him. I can already see Blitz asking Moxxie for advice, without trying to look like he's asking him for advice.

It breaks my heart how exited Stolas was.
It was implied before that he has some romantic feelings for Blitzø, but here they are much more appereant.
He destroyed his marriage, compromised his relationship vith Octavia, his reputation.
At first it really was just to get himself off, but he later started to grow conflicting feelings.
This was implied in Loo Loo Land when he speaks with Octavia, but here you can really see it.
He really thought Blitzø was starting to like him back.
He dressed real fancy, actually tried to talk to him and trying to get his attention, and treated him with respect.
If you pay attention, during the whole date he never calls him "Blitzy", repsecting that he doesn't like it.
It was so easy for Stolas to give him a pet name, giving how he is a prince AND higher demon rank in general. But he doesn't here.
He actually treated him like an equal for once.
Just to be ignored for half of the date by the person he likes.
That truly stings.
And when they do talk, it's only small talk. Blitzø didn't even answer his more serious question.
Then everything goes to shit.
He is publicly shamed, people laugh at him, all the while Fizz and Veronika make fun of his love interest.
He really seems sad for Blitzø.
They leave, but they do in Blitzø's car. They could've used a portal, but Stolas preferred to drive in a dirty, out of shape and small car for his size.
And he tried to connect with him again.
Only to be said to him:
"I don't want to have sex with you. I'm only your plaything, and I'm not up for it tonight."
I don't think Stolas had sex in mind this whole night.
He only wanted to spend time with him, maybe know him a little better, connect more. After all, he's destroying his life for him.
His feelings are not reciprocated.
He screwed up.
He didin't show his feelings in a manner that Blitzø could recognize.
He thought he was during sex, turns out that's not how you do it.
And when he tries to connect differently, he's told to basically go fuck himself.
He failed at showing his feelings for him.

It should be easy for a high class such as himself to impress an imp, turns out it's not.

I think Blitzø does like him back, but he is afraid of showing it to him. In the last episode where Blitzø was singing, it was clearly shown that he wants a relationship with Stolas, he loves him, but he is afraid he is not good enough for Stolas. After all he is just an imp.

I like what Blitz had reestablished during the Osmodius song is his feeling of being used to satiate lust, while it looks like what Stolas took away was Moxie and Millies part of the song- actual compassionate love.

I rewatched the episode and I agree.
When moxie and Millie are singing to each other in the last line if you watch Stolas face that part spoke to him and reached for blitz hand.
But when the club singer told stolas “you sold your life for a thrust” look at blitz face that the part he took away.
And didn’t seem to notice or care about Millie and moxie part of the song.
He just said let’s leave without noticing the aftermath.
I just find it ironic that he spies on his employees for his own longing for a meaningful relationship but doesn’t notice that part nor the one sitting in front of him.

Monarchy is weird, he wasn’t in love with a demon who speaks royalty, but still adores his daughter more than anything. He realized what love is, even though Blitz is an Imp. I see he still feels guilty for the affair, but I know it’s.. way more complicated than that.
His pupils also often show when he talks to Blitz, especially when he asked him on a "date" they even were heart-shaped... Those details are amazing!

the blitzo fear isnt a thing of the helluva boss, its real and i found comments down below talking about it and persons who have the fear of love, like me, i got this "cycle of sollitude" for a long time, i had the problem of feeling love for real, but never come past my limits, i couldnt find a way to create real relationships without acting like a toy or a tool willing to be used (just like blitzo), but it took a time for me to realize that there is nothing wrong in feeling love, a lot of people cared about me and i've pushed then away like blitzo, breaking their hearts, i've knew i was more than the "empty shell" i created, i moved on those feelings and after 7 years of struggle, made 3 freinds which are the best companies i have now, they really understand me and care about me and when it comes to me care about then, i do it, i don't act like a puppet willing to be used by its masters, we all love helluva boss and have been watching it from the beggining.
When this episode went on, we all made a discord call to react it and when i saw the ending, blitzo crying and all, i got discrontolled and went on for the crying, hugged alongside my pillow like blitzo, cause he was my favorite character and seing him at this point of life broke me and i strugled to change my way of life, it felt ironic, after a time my freinds told me that if i changed, blitzo would change too, after all this time i keep holding the feeling that blitzo can be more and he''ll find a way to live on just like me, he became a silhoutte of a me that existed for a long time.

Blitzo’s rejection of stolas isn’t entirely unjustified to be fair. When asmodeus calls attention to their relationship, stolas hides behind his menu. He feels a sense of shame for his and Blitzo’s relationship, and seeing that just made blitzo feel even more worthless than he already did. Hence why he accuses stolas later of the relationship being a purely transactional one.

Can I point out how much I love that Blitz stood up for Moxxie, even if it was in a weird way. Blitz hid the moment he saw Fizz, not wanting to be seen. But when he got up to defend Moxxie it put all attention on him, making himself a target.

I think I know why Stolas was so excited when Blitzø asked him out on a date. Look at the castle, all the plants are dying, it's dark and quiet , and Stolas is eating cereal instead of a proper meal. It's clear that his wife and Octavia left him, all because he was with Blitzø. He needs this to work out, he needs this relationship with Blitzø to be worth it.
