Gene Pitney is one of America's great singers. Half Heaven Half Heartache is one of my favorite songs! So sad he is no longer with us. He died right after a concert where he performed in Cardiff, Wales. RIP Gene!♥️

Gene Pitney had a voice that would melt any woman's heart. He sang such emotional beautiful love songs. He was a one-of-a-kind and he's missed very much.
I loved Gene for years & still do, I don't think he ever made a song I didn't love. He was the BEST!!!

I always loved Gene. In 1965 I went to my first concert. My boyfriend took me to Raleigh, NC for Gene's concert. We were on the front row. I was so excited I couldn't stay in my seat. That was 57 years ago and I have never forgotten it.❤

I'm so jealous bc I never got to see him in concert. He's my favorite solo singer of all time. Heard him at 10 yrs old ( 60 yrs ago ) and I was hooked for life. @@tonithenightowl1836 Aww dont hate me! I knew Gene for about 4 years when he used to stay at the hotel in London where I worked. He was so kind & friendly, everybody liked him. He invited me to his shows and I would watch from the side of the stage, so i could see the reaction of his fans in the audience. Sorry, but you did miss out, not seeing him live, but there are recordings of his shows on youtube. Loveliest guy ever.

For anyone just discovering the talent that is Gene Pitney you have created a superb treasure trove of his work covering many aspects of his talent. For a HUGE Gene Pitney fan such as myself this is something I value greatly - no adverts - just pure listening pleasure. I have just played the complete list here and will certainly be playing them all again. People like you who go to so much trouble to keep alive and share great talent deserve acknowledgement at the very least. I very much appreciate your efforts.

In the eighties my dad and I went to a Gene Pitney concert in Connecticut. He sounded just as good live as he did on his records. My dad had quite a few albums that I was always listening to when I was teenager. I lost my dad two and a half years after Gene Pitney died. I had to leave all those records behind, do to unfortunate circumstances. I'm so happy you have some of the same albums. I have been enjoying them the past few days.

Now if you can just make another posting of the songs that are missing (Something's Gotten Hold Of My Heart, Harbor Lights, Mockin' Bird Hill, I Really Don't Want To Know, The Great Pretender, Ritorna, etc.) all will be right with my world. Of all the pop singers, I think Gene used double tracked vocals to the best effect.
And his diction is tops. I clearly hear every lyric in every song.

My apologies Patrick. Just realised your posting covers 1960-65. This must surely mean that another is coming which will cover 1965 onwards and this one will also include Trans Canada Highway which I think was only released in Australia (1975). There is a worth watching video on UA-cam of a cool Gene singing this song live.
I will most likely do a part two of this one soon - I move around from artist to artist. Trying to put up my wonderful 45 RPM collection is a wonderful thing to share. Thank you for listening.

Yes, I certainly have caught up with your 1965-68 posting. I have also mentioned your postings on other sites because many others will really enjoy your sites, as I do, many times over!
Thank you. Most of these came from my personal 45 rpm collection and I put them on my computer and transferred to CD. I uploaded them here for everyone's enjoyment. Sadly a lot of my uploads have been removed by the owners. It is my love of music that I posted them, but I suppose the owners have the right to the money... :(
