CRK started making their own hardware in summer 2023. Is now 17-4 hardened steel instead of L.A. California sourced 303 SST screws. Less prone to strip out and comes out of their machinery very shine as a bonus.

Since last summer hardware is in house made Tim said it in an interview. Their new machines are able to make polished finish without additional process. Thats why the hardware is nicer and shiny.

I swapped out the factory Umnumzaan lanyard with the CRK backspacer kit and loved it. I'm not a huge fan of lanyards.

Just got my clip for mine today and it doesn't fit. I actually scored a drop point on their last drop which was pretty cool. I noticed the hardware looked more polished as well. Nice peice though man!

Congratulations on a beautiful knife! I had the drop point version in my cart. From memory the price was $625. Of course by the time I tried to put my payment through they were gone.
I have two small Sebenzas, both glass blasted with with inlays. Had a standard finish PJ as well but preferred the feel of the glass blast (will give the standard finish another try though as I didn’t have it long before selling it).
One that I have is a DLT exclusive from last year and it came in the standard white box so I too am wondering if this blue box yours came in is just for certain special editions or just new packaging in general.
