They add a glass breaker at the opposite end of the blade wich cant rotate if there is a stop pin. So they removed the stop pin and used the thumb-studd as stops.
I also bought one in 2020 however haven’t really fallen in love with it for some reason, I find it a little awkward for single handed opening, did anyone else have this issue? Maybe due to the fact that the thumb studs are so close to the frame? Tempted to try a small Inkosi next
Yeah that was one of my biggest gripes about this knife and almost made me let it go but after having it for several months glad I kept it. It never really goes away but my hand just learned to use it and I feel more comfy with it. But def not the most comfy knife to open and close.
@@these7seas Yea they are. I just didn’t know if they were all out already or something. You mentioned why you picked S35vn so I figured there was other options lol. Currently the mandi is out in S45vn. Hopefully the rest soon!
@@optimuscrime608 I had another Zaan on order and CRK called me today to say that it was ready to be fulfilled but when I asked if it was the s45vn steel they said it was still the s35vn. So it looks like they're transitioning in phases.
The first time I ordered direct, it took about 6 months. Most recently there was an opening so it bumped me up the list, taking about 3 months. Either way it takes a few months at this point.
Definitely my fav CRK. I absolutely love my Tanto in S45VN. Also got mine broken in so it’s flickable
Great piece, great review!
Thank you! It's definitely a fantastic knife for sure!

Is the Zaan now offered in S45?
I believe they’re transitioning all their models to the S45VN steel this year

@@these7seas How long ago did you order it? Does it really take as long as they say?

I'm 4 mins in and you haven't talked about the knife yet. I give up.
My taste and smell seems permanently damaged
