    • @beepboopmeow203

      This guy really doesn't understand a AI can't really make its own ideas.
      Nothing is original but a human can think of something they have never thought of before, something PERSONALLY original, a new idea, usually need a bit of a push tho, like thinking of a art piece from a word they heard, or a waterfall they saw.
      A AI can't do this
      It takes a steady stream of analytics and uses them to form things based on existing things. It's kinda how humans do it but humans have many little nuisances in their mind with how they form ideas, some of it still being studied by scientist.
      I feel like ai will be unable to ever gain ""sentience" until humanity actually fully understands its own brain and how it works.

    • @evelynh6223
      @evelynh6223 Рік тому +276

      If anything, an AI saying that it's human is evidence *against* it being sentient. If an AI developed an actual theory of mind and body and gained the ability to self-reflect, it would be able to understand that it's not a human. That isn't to say that an AI saying it *isn't* human is proof of anything, because either way in the current day it's not doing any thinking, it's just compiling a reasonable sounding answer from the data it's trained on.

    • @ranjanbiswas3233

      Tiktok is owned by ByteDance and the domain of ByteDance has CCP membership. And by the law of CCP, every domain company has to have CCP membership to operate and their government can ask for anyone's data and that company has to give them data. They have no power to reject. Huawei is banned in USA for the similar reason.
      It's not a conspiracy theory. Foreigners living in China for over 10 years are saying these. Shane is just copying them without credit. Westerners are way too ignorant about real issues and thinks hating their own country means something.

      It would absolutely cripple us. It's not going to take over the world and go skynet, but so much of our world is run on internet-based systems, including medical devices, it would be catastrophic if it all suddenly stopped working. I don't think it's a "chronically online" take to recognize how dependent society is at this point on the internet, and especially on electricity. Which, to be clear, I'm not saying is a bad thing. These systems have vastly improved our lives and the chances of them all suddenly going down are very slim, though I do think there are massive security flaws and lack of failsafes or backups for many of these systems.

    what we call AI is not intelligent. It's just a program that got trained to do what we want it to most of the time. It doesn't have a plan or anything, we just told it "no, don't do that" or "yeah, that's better than the garbage you were doing before" over and over again until it worked well enough that it's cheaper to pay people to fix its mistakes than to pay people to do what it does.

    • @CocoLicious

      If you strip humanoid reaction over processes, people suddenly believe things are "intelligent". Yes, what Neural Networks can so now is impressive but it's also the very human focused language it's uses instead of processing speak no matter the limitations of training. But maybe intelligence can also be redefined to "I only know the next word I am saying, no bigger contexts", it would certainly fit the quality of Shanes Video.

If we ever reach a level where an AI is as intelligent or more intelligent than a human being and with the same capabilities, knowledge, and, more importantly, the ability to learn, then we can start asking these questions. And I say "if" because right now we are not near of reaching this level of AI

    • @bosstowndynamics5488
      @bosstowndynamics5488 Рік тому +5

      A big part of the problem here is the way people are used to judging intelligence. GPT and other LLMs are being seen as human because they talk like humans, but the only reason they do that is because they're massive generative models that are trained on terabytes of written human communications. Loads of people keep seeing these random transcripts of AI chatbots claiming to be human and freaking out, but it's literally just that the AI has just read transcripts of what were probably tons of sci-fi stories where the fictional AI thinks it's human or something to that effect. The people who panic about those conversations then don't see all of the other AI transcripts where people literally reprogram the model by giving it specially phrased prompts, or where they trick it into saying nonsense, or various other bizarre results that make it very clear that these models aren't as sophisticated as marketing would have you believe.

It's impressive, but it doesn't really "think" about reality beyond just what words sound probable together.

Children don't know how to be safe on the internet and tictok has no restrictions. They literally let 8 year old dance around in booty shorts and tube tops. It's disgusting, thats why people want it banned. There's been so many murder cases and missing peoples cases all surrounding tictok. It's dangerous because of the us citizens who are misusing it. It's because pedophiles are spying on children, not because China is spying everyone. Yes, it's privacy issues, but it's more for childrens safety than men in their 30s who don't have to worry about being kidnapped. 😂😂

    I'm always fascinated by people who genuinely think chatgpt is like, actually intelligent. It literally doesn't comprehend the meanings of the words it produces, it's just a bunch of numbers in an algorithm. the way it "thinks" is literally just looking at the words you put in, then referencing a database and determining the word with the highest probability to follow. It's the same process you see if you type "I'll come over" into your phone, and it can predict that the next word is likely to be something like "tomorrow," or "soon," it's just that the algorithm on chatgpt has a bigger database and more resources behind it.
    It is not capable of accessing and controlling systems, because it just does math about probabilities.
    Furthermore, why would an AI take over and instantly turn off all the power everywhere? At that point, the AI is shut off, so what's stopping us from turning all the power back on?

      The lizard people one is a perfect example. It was always antisemitic, but it was once easy to pretend you didn't know that, or that you didn't mean it that way. You had to look into it to find its insidiousness. Now, because Q solidified most of these theories into one thing and also explicitly stated that they think that anyone left of Trump is trying to destroy America, you can no longer do a video about one of the classic theories without fifty response videos saying "hey this is dangerous stop pushing it".

    as a furby expert/collector, the instant he mentioned furbies i started laughing
    The reason people thought furbies could record them was because furbies were programmed to start out speaking furbish, and slowly incorporate more English or other language’s words the more you interact with them, giving the appearance that they learned from kids talking to them. They were banned from the pentagon based on a rumor and didn’t even check with the manufacturers, which said after the ban that no, furby can’t record anything. The microphone in the 1998/99 furby can only sense when there is a noise, not what the noise actually is. The only thing a furby can actually ‘hear’ is a beep from the sensor.
    Funnily enough, the more recent furbies actually can connect to the internet (2016 furby connect) and record our voices based on a voice command (2023 furby) but it doesn’t have any capability to do anything with that. It’s just for a fun for kids to play with. The 2023 furby repeats what you said in silly voices and the 2016 and 2012 furbies have apps that come with little games and stuff for kids.

    The thought of "AI is going to kill every person on Earth" is so insane to me. AI isn't smart, and AI doesn't act without input. It can't, and it never will be able to. "It pulls all information immediately from the internet instantly." Yeah, you know who else does that? Anyone that you ask a piece of trivia they don't know, so they whip out their phone and Google the answer. I don't think Jerry from work being able to search the internet on his iPhone to tell you who directed Happy Gilmore has the capability to annihilate mankind, but a computer that is essentially doing that slightly more efficiently can?
    It also speaks to intent. The biggest question I have whenever people talk about AI killing everyone is "Why would it do that?" Because humanity is inefficient? A machine running advanced AI would understand it was made to do the work of people more efficiently than they could, so being more efficient than humans gives them a reason to exist. Because humanity will destroy themselves, or are mortals and will die anyway? Why would the machines care about that? They wouldn't, because machines can't care about anything. They can pretend to, but computers are just tools, and just like any other tool, they don't have intentions, only purposes. A hammer can't hope or dream or love or hate, it can only do what the person holding it makes it do. Saying AI will kill us is the same as saying that the button that launches the nukes would press itself if it were able to; it wouldn't, because the desire for it to do so wouldn't be there. It wouldn't get impatient or curious about what would happen. It wouldn't do anything until instructed to by someone with the authority to tell it to do so. To believe otherwise is anthropomorphizing the technology. Computers wouldn't want us dead; computers wouldn't want anything.
