Lov this truth. I have autism and the stigma is an issue even to the nuclear family. I had to re-locate to the US. My son gives me such joy and has helped me understand him. Your strong. I admire you.

Very good story to learn many things for all of us who have autistic son's and daughters when many people do not support us or care to understand us. Had to move abroad to get help for my son and now he is an adult who takes care of me when need be. Glory be to God

Autism spectrum disorder is a big group of characteristic which varies with the patient . I noticed my son was different as early as few months old ( mother's instinct) all the people around would say that he was okey that I was overthinking but at the age of 2 he was diagnosed with the autism spectrum disorder. Now at age 4 he has started speaking but not fluent , he was out of diapers at 1year 6 months , he has never wet the bed till now , now taking him to a speech therapy. Great that this mama loves her kid big .

Wazungus kids are also autistic and they don't know "chira" so that's BS Africans can be so ignorant. Autism is a spectrum so different for everyone. You are his advocate and voice dont listen to those ignorant people. Shane will grow up to be a great man.

It's really disappointing and disheartening when someone has lost a loved one and pple just come in and bring their silly assumptions with them. Take heart mama you got this and your Tony as you've always called him would be very proud of you.....
