I feel for him losing his hair so young. It’s easy to laugh it off but it is hard to deal with for some young fellas. What’s cool for KK specifically is that he looks so much cooler after he cut it to create what is an iconic Slayer look & appears to have never given a F. He’s always been completely anti-poser & this just showed he walks the walk too. My respect will always stand with him, Jeff, Tom & Dave.

Hairloss hit right when the 90s did, he kept it going till 93.

I wouldn't take to much notice of this video, too many mistakes, for instance he didn't start wearing those stupid green framed glasses until 1990 not 1988.
You can see his hair started to get thin around 1985, but it was 1988 when it reached a brutal level.
Can't wait till Kerry starts up a new band. Rest easy Jeff.

I empathize with bald people so bad, because I am one. Noticing your hair disappearing is traumatizing.
I have a incurable desease in my skin so I got lots of deandrum in my hair and in order to prevent that and make the cleaning simple I shave my head every month. All my friend had long hair when they were young, Kerry did, but not me. It's even worse than being bald because I also got these red things all over my face every once in a while. I'd trade all the hair in my head for normal skin every day.

Ya man my part in the middle started to part more and more and then the long hair i had was looking like shit! Now i sport a WWII type German soldier/sailor high and tight…looks good with thin hair on top.. I’m glad I’m not completely bald on top like the bozo or Ben Franklin look , i did try the chrome dome look for a while it was a pain in the ass shaving every nite so i grew some back.. we just have to suck it up and live with it…maybe one day someone will find the cure but we will probably be long dead 💀🤘🏻🤘🏻

in 81 he was just 16 or 17 when they started. he became a good guitarist at a very young age
I read a interview in guitar player magazine in 1992 that Kerry said he basically faked his way though the first 4 albums...even he thought he kinda blew until season in the abyss...

Lots of stuff back in those days is like that. Would love to hear a legit recording of the Metallica members' hardcore crossover side project Spastic Children, but all that exists is garbled crap. It's funny, because most other underground groups did get decent recordings of at least some stuff. I guess it is a testament to their punk rock legitimacy.
