Good Video for showing your respect for Jeff. One of the DVD interviews Jeff said that he hated the New Faith riff but when the lyrics came it become one of his favorite tracks. I am 41 and Jeff meant too much for me since my 13-14ths Those amazing mathematical melodic riffs, his cool attitude, ESP guitars, Raiders/ Kings apparel, Etc... Built up and shaped my Life... I found a chance to visit his grave from another side of the earth and showed my love and respect for him. Reign In Heaven.
Kerry has my favorite riffs on Divine Intervention and Diabolus, but Jeff had better ones on every other album (Piece by Piece barely gets edged out on Reign in Blood though)
Whatever on the comparison, I’m glad king wrote show no mercy, praise of death and piece by piece, all masterpieces by masterpieces. This band launched death metal with haunting the chapel and hell awaits.. and Nothing can dethrone Reign in Blood , so if King co wrote some of the songs, then I’m thankful for it and am in aw of their monumental works. Same goes for Lombardo, who has so many memorable drum lines and Signature riffs, from the solitary single bass beat underlying a haunting riff, to the rapid china type strikes while whipping the snare to give that menacing feeling. And then Araya’s vocals from Reign backward where perfect and if only that remained. Anything anyone of it’s members put out on a early slayer record will always be better than just about anyone else. They are masters of evil Mayhem.
Very interesting, never thought about them different styles. Both use many chromatic, but but Hannemann seemed to have a slightly better understanding of harmony. (when to use major, minor or 7th). But solo-wise both did what they want regardless of harmonies... I really would like to know how or if they are/were (RIP Jeff) being educated in music theory. I think both are autodidact (like me) and did grasp some theory here and there but never did the whole long way ( reading staff, play in every key/ mode). It wouldn’t be Slayer then, if they did ...
It's interesting how he just skipped over "Undisputed Attitude", however "South of Heaven" made me laugh when Kerry had nothing to contribute on his own musically.

@@samusranzer i've just been getting into Sepultura, what's the beef?
Fuck yeah
@@samusranzer I know it originally started over Max's wife, their manager at the time. More stuff must've went on, a manager dispute seems like a petty reason for a life grudge.
Testament would be quite funny
Good Video for showing your respect for Jeff. One of the DVD interviews Jeff said that he hated the New Faith riff but when the lyrics came it become one of his favorite tracks. I am 41 and Jeff meant too much for me since my 13-14ths Those amazing mathematical melodic riffs, his cool attitude, ESP guitars, Raiders/ Kings apparel, Etc... Built up and shaped my Life... I found a chance to visit his grave from another side of the earth and showed my love and respect for him. Reign In Heaven.
Thanks for the great comment , you just mentioned the exact reasons why Hanneman is such a cool guy !!
You’re a badass man, I’m gonna subscribe. Underrated channel. Keep at it though, you’ll get there.
Thanks a lot ! Welcome !!
just now seeing this three years later... Superbly well done. RIP Jeff.
YOU LOOK LIKE BURTON C BELL from FEAR FACTORY with a shaved face!! nice work man! I was entertained!
ThAnk you very much , that was hillarious !
Awesome!
Great job Burton C. Bell
...you should have a look at our Fear Factory cover...
I love listening to you play, it makes me very happy!
I clearly see they influenced each other throughout the years 🤘🏽🤘🏽
I love that you played some lesser known songs, like Black Serenade. Awesome video
Didn’t even watch the video yet but Hanneman wins.
Just great to hear all the riffs both equal. SLAYER
no one:
kerry king: 0-0-0-0
Incorrect sir it goes 5-3-2-0-0-0-0-3-2-0-0-0-3-20
0-0-0-0-0 *pinch harmonic* *whammy bar*
If you'd found the *best note* I think you'd play it all the time as well.
😂😂
Nice guitar playing and great tone thanks
Welcome !
Kerry has my favorite riffs on Divine Intervention and Diabolus, but Jeff had better ones on every other album (Piece by Piece barely gets edged out on Reign in Blood though)
Watching you play against yourself is hilarious! Thanks for this!
One of your best performance bro!!! love it!!! incredible playing and so funny !! ;)
Thanks man !!
@@TheSuffocater How Did You Make Two Of You?
That was the most awesome musical video regarding Slayer I have ever heard or seen, LOL
You look a bit like burton c. bell from fear factory. Great vid
Very nice playing young man. Been a slayer fan since Show No Mercy. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
I'm glad Skeletons got some of the attention it deserves! That riff is what made me a Slaytanic wehrmacht.
Awesome video man!!🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Whatever on the comparison, I’m glad king wrote show no mercy, praise of death and piece by piece, all masterpieces by masterpieces.
Damn right my friend !! Fuckin' Slaaaayer !!
one of my favorite parts of this whole video is you wearing the jersey for jeff. love it brother
I cant imagine what if two Hannemans were playing in the Slayer 🤘
I think Slayer needs both Hanneman and King . Greets
@@TheSuffocater yea maybe u r right but i think Slayer could be more melodic whit two Hannemans🤘
Thanks.
I learned a lot from the suffocaters.
There really is no end.
Keep teaching and kicking ass.
Again... thanks!
I banged my head with all.... Slayer is SLAYER, not Dave, nor Tom, Jeff, king...
Hanneman/King- the Rogers and Hammerstein of Metal!!!! Thanks for doing this!!!!
Great comment ! Thanks !
Excelent video!, excelent performance!
Thanks !
Should have worn Oakley for Kerry! Lol I love the vid bro ;)
Yeahhhhh !!! Thanks !
Good call
Jeff’s half step hammer-on/pull-offs are just so genius! Freaking expressive and the message is so clear! Rip
It's interesting how he just skipped over "Undisputed Attitude", however "South of Heaven" made me laugh when Kerry had nothing to contribute on his own musically.
I scipped this cause its more a cover album...greets
Thanks for inspiring my Hanneman-only playlist!
I must admit that I hardly know any of the newer albums after Divine Intervention I just noticed.
World painted blood is their best album since the 80s
My favorite video on youtube. Slayer inspired me to pickup guitar and I'm hopeful one day I'll be able to play all their songs.
Hanneman is the legato rythem signature Slayer trademark
