i have exactly one of these obstacles that you mentioned : The parents that want you to stop playing because poker is gambling . I really want to make a side income playing poker but having this extra psychological pressure makes it hard. As you said obstacles appear in the way and we must overcome them !!
Highest form of content here on youTube. Thx I am going through a rough time right now (break up). Thx guys for changing my perspective on life a bit and motivate me to get back in the grind
European been practicing in the micros, he was on my tab 7.50bb not long ago lol Such a well spoken, wise young man, great stuff guys, thank you! That bit about being gratefull...I want to be a where you guys are, I had a 5 figure bankroll years ago but had to use it cos life went bad...Nowaydays I work full time doing 2-10 shift so I don't really got anytime to play and grow a bankroll and what winnings I do have I have to use in life because you can't live off min wage when you live on your own. So yeah...it was nice to hear Sam is gratefull for his situation...respect! Oh and dancing with your lady is always +ev ;)
If we remember correctly he had some kind of a challenge going on at the time. Wishing you all the best on your journey and hope you get to where you want to be!
this video definitely filled the gaps in my understanding of the things that will help me to progress and become a successful poker player.Deepest respect!
Money doesn't compare to value of knowing what types of people you keep around you, and these two mindsets are valuable, not just to ones craft but also ones life. Pain+reflection=progress and to be successful you have to understand the fundamentals and study the minds of those who were great before yours. Great podcast @bencb and @european. Quality individuals.
@@RaiseYourEdge eurpoean's take on balancing personal and professional stuff, esp. The relationship part, focussing on whats really important...and trying to understand "why" while using pio in order to deduce exploits..
Cheers for this, Ben. Great chat with some excellent topics discussed. His staking/coaching site is one of the more interesting approaches out there. It's not hard to see why this guy crushes
Amazing podcast! Learned a lot! Thank you very much for it, Ben! I have a poker question: European mentioned, that in 40 BB on 9-7-4 with fluah draw, we don't want to check - raise 97 from BB after UTG open and big bet on the flop. Can you please explain rationale behind this?
its so true about doing for others the way i see it in this world everything is energy of what you put in and energy that comes out of that. when it takes us something far less energy to do for someone else then they could ever do for thjemself and the gain that comes from that far exceeds expectations and it makes the world far more efficient and in time it just cant help but making everything better.
I don’t know how to manage it, but your guests should have a better web cam cause you are in like 1080p, and European is in 240p. Still great value, thanks for it, just wanted to point out a minor imperfection. Keep it up💪
thx for the podcast. awesome video. GG Poker has Bubble Protection with a refund of your buy in if you bubble it and started from the beginning in the Tournament.
Firstly great podcast. I enjoyed it. Finding exploits using PIO would make a great video. At 1:18:22 Samuel mentions you get less money back you invest in (Hyper)Turbos. And therefor shouldn't pay the same rake. But why would you get less money back in turbos?
He means your expected return on investment is naturally less in turbos/hyper turbos because of the faster blind structure, so as a pro the rake should to be lower than slower tourneys to make it more worthwhile.
Lol I hate to say it if I’m picking between the two of them to take my game to the next lvl it’s 100% European! Great outlook and extremely relatable/explains in depth strat in a very personal/throughout way!
Holy shit... european is such a cool dude... I'm not even close as good as him in Poker (yet hehe), but the way he thinks and sees the world is so similar to mine. Really like him.
LOVE THE CONTENT but sound when its guest in pidcasts is way far behide overall messedge. Pls make 2 tracks when recording audio so its easy to fix at postproductuon
@@RaiseYourEdge may be that is just my headphones then. Because i can hear Ben much more louder then European. And its not just this podcast thing. Or its unfixable because of by limits of guest side mic?
i mean im sorry but year ago i was talking about sound in videos. its clearly 3 different lvls of sound in first 2 minutes. 1st when its clip before start, then really lound preroll(or whetever this called with RYE stuff), then Ben saing about what this podcast will be and again, back to 1st lvl with conversation going. Hire any russian mincraft making videos school guy he will do sound job for 2 backs no problem. Im not kidding.
Really cool idea to get some positive attention to online poker; TWITCH RIVALS: Streamers play a home game tournament against each other while streaming it on their end, maybe even could get some commentary, for a small sum (but a lot of glory and bragging rights XD) maybe once a month or so. This idea is stolen from league of legends I saw it there. Seems like it could be really fun to watch
Hi Ben, I bought your Mastercourse (and Bounty Beast) and it improved my live cashgames and online mtts game a lot, so thx for that. I am very intelligent, have very much discipline, and study and review very much (also with all the great software). I have great (mutual) coaches that do very well in the formats we focus on. I am making a very nice very steady income as a fulltime pro with mid-high live cashgames, with very often new all-time highs. But, I have played more than 1M hands with online mtts, with great winrates and decent freqs, being around my all-time low now. So, what to do with the variance, and is it possible to make some steady income with online mtts? I like the online option, also because online you can move up and up without travel. Grz. Thomas "Fisch"
Patience and accepting that variance is part of the game. Things that decrease variance: Smaller fields, slower structures, higher edge (either playing softer fields or study to gain a bigger edge)
