She “couldn’t remember many things including not remembering what she gave her dad on his 70th birthday, a momentous occasion, yet now we heard about text between Wendi and Charlie months before that birthday as they talked about what they needed to give him? It's pretty crazy to think that Wendi didn't invite Jeff to the party, and Sigfredo rented a car just like Jeff's car the first time they tried to commit the murder.

      Good question! But there is a legal difference. It’s the juries job to decide the facts of the case & the credibility, or lack there of, of the defendant. Therefore, it’s entirely proper for the jury to observe the defendants behavior in the courtroom & make whatever conclusions they want from it. He’s the one on trial. But the wire being secured prior to this bump was key. They had to ask a judge for permission to tap their lines. If they bumped and didn’t have the tap in place, LE could not have done it all. So methodically handled.

      I understand your feelings totally. According to a lawyer I saw interviewed, who is actually friends with the prosecutor, they're taking the approach of going after the brother first because that's who they've got the strongest case against and hoping that will help expose the links to the other family members, or that he may even implicate the others. Plus, they don't want to indict her prematurely and try her and have her acquitted because at that point double jeopardy kicks in and she can't be tried again. She may not have directly solicited the killers but I don't see how she isn't involved. Somebody had to give the killers Dan Markel's daily movements. Even if Charlie Adelson hired the killers, there's no way he would know when Dan Markel went to the gym, where he went to the gym, when he gets home, picks up the kids, etc. Remember, when the killers started following Dan Markel in the Prius, they were waiting outside of the gym he worked out in. They also knew it had to be done that day because he was going out of town the next day. Who else could they have gotten that info from? Charlie lives 400 miles away. For example, I have a good relationship with my sister and my brother in law, but I don't know his daily movements like that. I know who he works for but I don't know when he goes to his office, when he works remotely, if or when he goes to the store, etc. Mainly because they live 4 hours away from me. My point being, I don't see how she wasn't involved with giving info that the killers could use to locate Dan, especially since there was no evidence that they went to Tallahassee and spent several weeks there doing surveillance on him.

    It's obvious that Wendi was involved in the plan to kill Dan Markel but I think she may well have been playing her family for a long time to guide them towards the conclusion that the only option was for him to be killed, but without actually suggesting it herself. She was constantly complaining to her parents about Dan. She knew doing things like putting in an offer on a house in Tallahassee would drive her family, Donna in particular, crazy. This was a power struggle with Dan Markel which Donna was not prepared to lose. The more Wendi wound her up, the more extreme Donna's ideas became for dealing with Dan. Wendi didn't suggest the million dollar offer to Dan because she didn't want him anywhere near her and the kids. It probably drove her crazy that Dan had a girlfriend and there was the real possibility of another woman being in the kids' lives. It was bad enough for her that she had to share them with him. I suspect Wendi was pulling the strings on this whole thing, while acting little miss naive and being far more careful about what she said and did than Charlie and Donna (esp. Charlie) who couldn't keep their mouths shut and implicated themselves left, right and centre. However, her guilt is clear and hopefully there is enough evidence to charge her, once Donna's trial is over.

    The defendants is incredibly creepy and arrogant. I don’t think he is doing himself any favors with the jury. It appears he believes he is untouchable and will never face consequences and his attorney looks like he playing out his law and order dream trying to make move worthy moments that blow up in his face hahahah

      He was laughing whenever his sister was being asked if their mom called Danny all these derogative names. He made several faces that were just so inappropriate in a murder trial, one where your life is on the line. He could care less who saw him do that all the times he did! He wouldn't dare look at his former friend though, he looked at his attorney while he questioned his former friend, and no one else.

    ❤ Sgt. Corbitt. Defense (clown) trying to pin him on WHAT? Trys to belittle his testimony. He goes in circles. Again Sgt is basing his data only on the subjects involved. NOTHING MORE. This Steve Carell lookalike gives me a migraine. Oh and tell the gargoyle defendent to stop smirking ang making faces especially during the recordings. He's made faces throughout the trial, plus stands all cocky with hands in his pocket when jury comes in and out. I know Im late in this game but wanted to share my thoughts.

    • @joralemonvirgincreche
      @joralemonvirgincreche 8 місяців тому

      Yes, but Rivera doesn't have firsthand knowledge of that. Charlie and Katie needed to keep Garcia ignorant of the fact that Charlie was involved in the hit because then Garcia wouldn't have wanted to do it, since he hated Charlie who was sleeping with Katie, his common law wife. So Katie tells Garcia that a woman with a custody issue wants the hit, and Garcia tells Rivera a woman with a custody issue wants the hit.

      The defence tried to have the transcript excluded, but when Katie authenticated it, the judge let it in.
      The defence then tried to refer to Katie lying about the recording at the previous trial, but old testimony is not relevant to the current one.

    Donna is the typical Jewish mother. I have three different Jewish family friends and every family member bows to her rulings her wishes, think back to how pushy she was in earlier testimony, she is pushing Wendi to get her grandkids closer to her, away from their “evil “ dad. Cell phone pings, cameras especially those one school buses that helped place them especially the car following Dan in order to kill him has been interesting. Now they are getting more on Wendi snd her parents. I just hope they get enough to press charges. And Charlie has cleaned up well. I like watching his reactions. He is Evil.
