This video is great!! I use live lite. I feel like having to finesse 8 tracks is like boom bap producers having 10 seconds of sample time. Limitations push you to figure out new ways.
Much appreciated Sedrick! When I started making beats my sampler was limited to only 4 tracks. You absolutely right!
Exactly,just as “Quarantining” results in 🖍🎙🎸creativity 😷
So true!
i am interested in this Lite version is limited connect vst plugins? or you can unlimited VSTs use? (sorry for my English)
Sadly the limitation was only a demotivation to me… :(
You’re a low key creative, like when the camera fell😞”are you OK?😂😂😂😂 you made Hennessy out of lemons👌🏽
Wow, that's a miracle worth sippin' on. Cheers to you Ron, I appreciate you.
This exactly what I was talking about! Looking forward to hearing the complete track! P. S. Happy birthday to your wife!
Dope and super fun watching you bro!!! Learned a lot with this and definitely inspired me
Thank you!
your approach is right up my alley haha, whatever works; works
Exactly! It's the funnest way to create too, always something new.
i definitely feel like live lite has made me come up with ways to get around the 8 track limit
Which can even be inspiring
I've watched 5 mins. I'm already inspired, like with the random sampling of the key sound on the cheap keyboard, the singing. Nice.
Still inspired? Here's a friendly reminder that you have an infinite source of awesomeness within you.
earned my sub! great music and great video!
the beat reminded me of Gorillaz
damn how do you have 2k subs. This stuff is amazing. Really fricking good editing dude
Dave, thank you!
Cool man - I like your style!
Rock on, thank you!
I absolutely love the vibe of this song. You have a fan on Spotify. Your style of creating songs inspires me. I also might need to start getting up before my kids to write....
Thanks brother. Definitely, carving out time to figure things out and create is vital, especially when raising children! All the best to you and your family.
I love the way you make music, man! The spontaneity of the video is so sweet and describes a lot of what musicians go through a lot of the times. The song sounds so lively, I love it!
P.s At 2:02 I was reminded of Kid Cudi which I mean as a compliment, lol
Creativity is the cousin of chaos. Thank you, bro! I really enjoyed making this song, currently figuring out how to perform it live on the Launchpad.
That was some ghostly scary music for someone's happy birthday ..
Right, my lady would leave me if I told her she was the insperation to that.
This is how i make music too, i have Ableton lite, focusrite solo an electric guitar snd a presonus mic
Cool Stuff!!! I'm diggin it!
I appreciate that Terry.
Enjoyed that....
This is so cool! You deserve far more recognition, especially with your awesome editing!!! I don't know why this has 8 dislikes, but honestly they're probably just jealous. Keep doing what you're doing, your channel has to blow up eventually!!!
I really appreciate you saying all that. It's definitely a journey and I'm stoked to keep growing!
Twas a nice video! Cheers bro!
🍻
This is literally my broke ass cuz I can’t afford the full version
Early Beatles didn't complain about 8 tracks. They were excited af ;)
I'm on win 7 and xp so lite 8 is what I roll with.
My music is minimal anyway, and I grew up with limited hardware samplers like the mpc2000, and zoom sampletrak so Lite's limitations are exceeding those devices.
Also I use Shortcircuit vst sampler instead of simpler that helps bypass some limitations.
Well, in time of need you better be creative
Me too, brother. Hahaha.
Best free daws video for light computers
Use instrument rack and drum rack to have over 100 tracks. Many UA-cam videos on this. It is free.
Man, this is the exact kinda video I was looking for. I love your attitude and style dude! Awesome Video. Do you think it would be good to take the project from Ableton lite and bring it to Ableton live 8? 8 tracks and 8 instruments seems really restricting... or maybe I just need to learn that less is more! Either way, I got my coffee, got my Ableton and ready to go down the Eumonik rabbit hole of music!
Hi Johannah. I'd love a coffee right now too. So, moving projects between different versions of Ableton Live can be tricky, sometimes it won't work. What I have done is bounce the master track and open it in a new project to add more. Another trick to avoid the 8 track limit is to use resampling and/or comping multiple tracks together. Cheers!
Nice one man!
Thanks, brother! Need to add some cuts.
Dude, this is entertaining and interesting! I too use ableton lite, have kids and I'm creating content! I'm actually really good at the keys so if you need anything let me know
You remind me of our very own Lee Scratch Perry. They style of production is awesome.
What did you use to master your track?
you are amazing!
Thank you!
I’ll definitely check out your tune. I have a question you might be able to help me with. Will Abelton Lite record an acoustic drum kit with the 8 channels?
8 tracks is absolutely doable for recording a drum kit. Also, Live Lite will support an 8 input interface too. Do it up!
Eumonik Thanks! The thing is, I don’t have live. I have Intro, and lite.
you can save that song as a mp3 and make more projects and mix them together to make a song with a maximum of 64 tracks but remember to keep them seperate so they don't sound overly processed which reduces sound quality
You remind me of myself. That Abelton will melt your brain. I still can’t even do that ! Lol
Craziness and creativity are good friends.
Hello 🙏🏽
Which guitar is used?
Thanks
Great video....dope song....sub!!!
That worked out nicely
Awesome beat! I am considering upgrading to Studio for my 12 yr old...
If your child is needing more than 8 tracks and more effects, they will love it!
Excuses me, hi, how did you record the 2 tracks over each other? trying to do this now, I only have lite as well.
You could add another track and set the input as resampling (this function basically means you're having Ableton recording itself) then you solo the tracks that you wanted to comp
hey man, i just watch you video because i play guitar and want to make some music like this, do you have a video to help me start on ableton or logic or something?
Yes! I have some started tutorials for making music in this playlist ua-cam.com/play/PLTt1o15oZpwKSGAe4jE6eEQL9sjjdwR6h.html
How do i get ableton live lite to be in that view? mines vertical up and down tracks
Tab
This week I upgraded to standard because I’m taking a cousers class at Berkeley online I fully expect to learn how to do this
That's awesome Greg! Berkeley will definitely boost your Ableton skills.
so you can record vocals in lite ? who knew i thought you couldn't
Nice
You are awesome. Much appreciated!
The vocals sound like the drums down by the water "if you wanna drown down by the water baby ill carry you all the way home"
Technically you can use the drum racks on each track to get all the drum sample spots and even can put effects and eqs on each aswell
Great point!
lol that was what I realized today and Im so happy!!! I will stop using cracked FL, ABLETON and Studio one to use Live lite this way
@@jemyxproduce or you can just bounce the 8 tracks to wav and then drag them into a single track on a new project giving you pretty much as many tracks as you want (but this obviously is a pain if you want to mix certain elements later on) that being said allot of the Beatles tracks were done with this very technique on tape machines that were limited in number of tracks before they upgraded the technology
How much does the keyboard cost?
Got it at a thrift shop! Check it ua-cam.com/video/pyyTN-bB56w/v-deo.html
Careful with the cheese, the cheese sweats are real lol
niceee
👍
Great video, make a song just using only 8 tracks🎵💯
Can you do a video on how to get more than 8 tracks on ableton live 11?
......fkn ai smh.
The cheese part made me hungry
I love a sharp cheddar.
@@jezwinski did you add extra wetness to the song?
I don’t like my cheese soggy.
@@DivianLP only the freshest of cheese for the doge
@@jezwinski it’s fresh? Nice! Do you have pizza crust pizza sauce and pepperoni?
@@DivianLP on lock
crazy man only 8 tracks hmm
Producer Tip No 1. Tune Your Guitar.
A slight detune is like salt.
That detuned is like tajin
I always make music with 8 tracks, I have no money
Is judo sloth ur brother 😐
i like him. So funny and creative. Sounds just like trash (laughs...just the way I like it!) creates again.
Bro, what are you, J to the R-O-C? ‘Nam sayin’? Nice video though
Like honestly very helpful, but I had to rewatch the video because I started hyperventilating after your nam sayin
Lol. I can dig it.
I sofer of that same problem
Problem solved
haha! sweeeettt
Yo, Skiii! Glad you digging it.
You’re hilarious......I have lite also....I’ll upgrade to Intro when I’m better than you...which is probably never
You should've upgraded years ago, my friend.
But what does the music mean from an artistic point of view? what is it saying? Is it actually saying anything at all? Is modern amateur music just an endless diatribe of repeated musical systems? uh?
okay gramps back into the nursing home you go.
Lol so you're recording a modest mouse song? Lol you stole that melody.
I dig Modest Mouse, still have no clue what I am missing. We're all looking for something.
