Just wow. You seem to have been there from the moment the moss started smoking. I know I speak for many other volcano aficionados (or nerds) when I say we would love to see much more unedited footage of those very early stages of the eruption! Volcanologists would absolutely drool over seeing that!
This video is a masterpiece!! Beautiful and mesmerizing to watch!! The gentleman sitting there watching the eruption reminds me of sitting around a camp fire at night. You just can't take your eyes off of the fire.
Is it possible to see ALL the footage of the fissure opening? That first shot looks like the ground started steaming in a broad cluster? Any wider shots?
That bright yellow color of the fresh lava is about 2000 F.
