Flying my drone on Stromboli, the most active volcano in Europe. I started with some wide-angle island scenery before going up to the craters for some eruptions.
There were definitely some close calls, but the risk was absolutely worth the reward! The shots just wouldn’t be as dramatic if the drone was farther away.
We were watching this the day before you and I may have even heard you chatting to your friends about flying your drone as you were down near the quayside on Friday morning. Great footage. Amazing to see it so close up. Brilliant camera work.
@@daphnekivinen9482 Stromboli has been in a more or less constant state of eruption for thousands of years. It’s not like Etna where it starts and stops every few months.
All of these shots were captured on June 21, 2024, two weeks BEFORE the drone ban.
Why the drone ban?
@@Meimeilee-q4dThere was a major eruption in July and people were flying drones that interfered with the volcanology equipment (or so I heard).
I love your volcano videos
Very amazing. Thank you
Fantastic footage. If I was a major news organization I would license this video for a substantial sum of money.
Beautiful footage especially at the 1 m 30 mark above the vent. Looks like the drone had a close call on a couple of occasion!!!

Nice!👌
👀 Looks like it is coughing
Time for those living nearby
To make preparations to go
& move away
😮😮😮
When was the last eruption? Thx! Great pic!
Stromboli erupts multiple times per hour so probably sometime between when you wrote that comment and when I replied!
@@keatonterry I meant previously. Before the start of this recent eruption. Thx!

@@keatonterry Thank you! I got my answer from the internet. I should have done that in the first place.
Can you tell me if the people there have any influence. Are they safe? I wish everyone safety was really like that.🙏🙏🙏
