    Just got myself one for Christmas and it’s awesome. I only got the 175hz. Only thing that’s annoying is the panel care. Great feature but it’s intrusive. Overall though I’m very pleased. Now I need to upgrade my gaming pc cos the 3060 can’t go above 100hz

    You did a way better job at explaining how to use the kvm than msi. For yhe life of me I could not figure out how to use it on auto. Was switching by hand every time. Thank you!

    I just bought this monitor, but in the few days I've been using it, I can't help but notice weird effects on text (o bought it for gaming but most of the time I'm working on Figma). Windows/macOS UI elements look dented, anti-aliasing is not working. I think I read about text issue on oled monitors, but I didn't know those were too serious... is this a faulty monitor or is just the way the panel works?

    • @AishTalksTech
      @AishTalksTech  7 місяців тому +1

      I'm not sure what you mean by dented but have you checked the sharpening and image enhancement settings?

      That's really weird I'm not seeing anything like that around the icons and text, I would say reach out to MSIs customer service and have them troubleshoot it with you.

    sadly it has Gen1 pannel instead of claimed gen3 pannel so text clarity lack behind

    I have the monitor now and the picture doesn't go all the way to the bezel on the top and right hand side but bottom and left side is fine. What is this? How can you fix this? Kinda just looks faulty to me.

    • @AishTalksTech
      @AishTalksTech  5 місяців тому

      that small space on the edges is for pixel shift, its to help reduce burn in on oled monitors. Im not sure if you can disable it in the oled care settings but I wouldnt recomend it.

    • @calebs2crazy
      @calebs2crazy 5 місяців тому

      @@AishTalksTech lame. It looks like it's causing a smaller screen! I have an OLED TV with pixel shift and it doesn't do that. How weird and msi makes no mention of it.

    • @AishTalksTech
      @AishTalksTech  5 місяців тому

      It's not just MSI but it makes sense that your TV doesn't have the space, you usually don't have to worry about having static images on screen for long periods of time like on a desktop monitor. I do agree that I wish it wasn't there but I completely forget about it and if it gives my monitor a longer lifespan I'm good with it.

    compared to the samsung osydssey G8 qd-oled, what are the differences ?

    • @AishTalksTech
      @AishTalksTech  5 місяців тому +1

      They're very similar but the Samsung one has a gen 2 panel, 60w pd USB c port and speakers, the MSI one doesn't have speakers but does have audio out and can be found for cheaper.
      It really comes down to how much the panel, 60w pd port and speakers matter to you, I would say the Samsung one is a better monitor but in real world use I don't think you would see much of a difference.

  • @gsxraiders
    @gsxraiders 6 місяців тому +1

    I just bought one for my son. We freaking love this. Could care less if it's not the next gen panel with the rearranged pixels. It works just fine. I've been hooking my PS5 up to his monitor anytime he's not using it 😅. It's super vibrant and beautifully bright unlike the older OLED panels. Shoutout to Samsung.

    • @gsxraiders
      @gsxraiders 3 місяці тому

      @Ilestun The monitor will auto detect the input and just cut it to 16:9 if you're using a PS5.

    is better than asus 34 pgwcdm oled ?

    • @AishTalksTech
      @AishTalksTech  7 місяців тому

      I would say specs wise the Asus monitor is better because of the gen 3 panel and 90w pd port, but it has a more aggressive curve and the price tag reflects that.
      The Asus monitor retails for 1,299 usd and you can find the MSI monitor for under 700 usd, personally I like the curve on the mag34 better but it comes down to what you're looking for and your price range.
