Just got myself one for Christmas and it’s awesome. I only got the 175hz. Only thing that’s annoying is the panel care. Great feature but it’s intrusive. Overall though I’m very pleased. Now I need to upgrade my gaming pc cos the 3060 can’t go above 100hz
You did a way better job at explaining how to use the kvm than msi. For yhe life of me I could not figure out how to use it on auto. Was switching by hand every time. Thank you!
I just bought this monitor, but in the few days I've been using it, I can't help but notice weird effects on text (o bought it for gaming but most of the time I'm working on Figma). Windows/macOS UI elements look dented, anti-aliasing is not working. I think I read about text issue on oled monitors, but I didn't know those were too serious... is this a faulty monitor or is just the way the panel works?
That's really weird I'm not seeing anything like that around the icons and text, I would say reach out to MSIs customer service and have them troubleshoot it with you.
I have the monitor now and the picture doesn't go all the way to the bezel on the top and right hand side but bottom and left side is fine. What is this? How can you fix this? Kinda just looks faulty to me.
that small space on the edges is for pixel shift, its to help reduce burn in on oled monitors. Im not sure if you can disable it in the oled care settings but I wouldnt recomend it.
@@AishTalksTech lame. It looks like it's causing a smaller screen! I have an OLED TV with pixel shift and it doesn't do that. How weird and msi makes no mention of it.
It's not just MSI but it makes sense that your TV doesn't have the space, you usually don't have to worry about having static images on screen for long periods of time like on a desktop monitor. I do agree that I wish it wasn't there but I completely forget about it and if it gives my monitor a longer lifespan I'm good with it.
@@AishTalksTech I had the Samsung g85sb QD OLED and it extends all the way to each bezel. Maybe that one just didn't have the pixel refresher on by default.
They're very similar but the Samsung one has a gen 2 panel, 60w pd USB c port and speakers, the MSI one doesn't have speakers but does have audio out and can be found for cheaper. It really comes down to how much the panel, 60w pd port and speakers matter to you, I would say the Samsung one is a better monitor but in real world use I don't think you would see much of a difference.
I just bought one for my son. We freaking love this. Could care less if it's not the next gen panel with the rearranged pixels. It works just fine. I've been hooking my PS5 up to his monitor anytime he's not using it 😅. It's super vibrant and beautifully bright unlike the older OLED panels. Shoutout to Samsung.
I would say specs wise the Asus monitor is better because of the gen 3 panel and 90w pd port, but it has a more aggressive curve and the price tag reflects that. The Asus monitor retails for 1,299 usd and you can find the MSI monitor for under 700 usd, personally I like the curve on the mag34 better but it comes down to what you're looking for and your price range.

just picked up the MPG variant of this. Its amazing

Glad I could help and yeah MSI wasn't very clear on how to do it.
Dang Ori in widescreen is crazy, great video Aish!
Thank you!
Side scrolling games is one of the things I'm most excited to dive into on this thing.

I'm not sure what you mean by dented but have you checked the sharpening and image enhancement settings?
@@AishTalksTech yes, I leave it on the first default option, as the rest us Pure useless bs.

sadly it has Gen1 pannel instead of claimed gen3 pannel so text clarity lack behind
I read that when I was looking into the panel difference, but I use it daily and haven't noticed any issues with text clarity.
Great review!
Thank you
This or Samsung odyssey g8 ultrawide qd oled? Which is better?
O áudio do monitor é bom?
Qual é a potência do áudio?
It doesn't have speakers just a headphone jack.
Can I watch media in Dolby Vision?
DISPLAY PORT 1.4a is available on this monitor, no DP 1.1
Thank you for clearing that up, I must have made a mistake when putting all the specs together.
AISH FACE REVEAL: The Sequel. Awesome video my friend (I want that monitor). - Stubbs
Thanks Stubbs I appreciate all the support.
How is it for word and Excel use, can text be read clearly??
I haven't had any issues with any text, even small fonts look nice and sharp.

What's your keyboard? Looking for smaller one.
It's a keychron k3
compared to the samsung osydssey G8 qd-oled, what are the differences ?

I've been loving mine to the point where I'm not using any extra monitors anymore.
Movies and games look amazing on it.
Oled is nice but aspect ratio is not supported by PS5. I guess you get a streched picture (better than black bands imho) ?
@Ilestun The monitor will auto detect the input and just cut it to 16:9 if you're using a PS5.
Great video. I'm so jealous. Video-editing on that thing looks amazing. Too bad it's so pricey T_T
It's soo nice and the colors look awesome, like having a giant oled phone Infront of you 😆
Just discovered your video, you should make a little review of that speed editor for Davinci that you use!
I hope you enjoyed it!
That's actually a great idea, it's an awesome tool and I hadn't thought about it.
Im struggling will my 4070Ti Super with 7800x3D handle it in a decent fps.
What are you struggling with ? I have a 5600x and a 4070 so you should be doing much better than me.

I should try a 21:9 monitor one day 😮! Awesome video dude!
Thank you
It's a nice change, I wasn't sure how much I would like it but it fits perfectly with how I like to work.
i changed grom 16:9 to 21:9 4 years ago, and i really can't come back
Budget and $799 does not go hand in hand
I know it's not budget in the general sense, but when you compare it to what high refreshrate ultrawide OLED monitors go for it makes sense.
Damnit! I was perfectly happy with my 21:9 34" LCD until I watched this. Now it feels like a piece of garbage!
I can't go back anymore 😭
😱 awesome video 👌✨ look good
Welcome to that life! The one problem is you can never go back.
Yeah even my big tv doesn't feel the same anymore, I can never go back 😂
Great video and beautiful monitor, but quite the price tag.
It's a little pricey but when you compare it to similar monitors it's not bad at all, it's actually one of the more affordable options I found.
That monitor looks great!. Subtle branding indeed 😂
There's only so much you can do with a dragon 😂
'Budget', still costs $/£1k. Crazy timeline.
@@techagek 1k?! What ? Nah that's crazy it was around $650-700 when I reviewed it.
@@AishTalksTech £900 in the UK right now, the CQPX is also £950/1000 in some places. lol
Yeah that's too much
Prices are insane, lol
Budget :)))
😂
That cannot be the real name of the product, that looks ridiculous
Oh but it is 😂 regardless of the name it's a great monitor.
