I love love love your garden tours. Don’t change a thing. I just joined your class Ditch the Drugstore and already getting so much out of it. I been dabbling in herbal remedies for years but now am more focused. I also grow Aloe Vera but i searched for a specific Aloe that was consumable. It is called Barbadensis Miller here in CA. It is huge and flowers yellow. A pup sells for $19 plus. I now have several plants and they are now making pups. Great plant. I love that you share your extensive knowledge of plants and what they can be used for. Your cute little kitty shows up as if she is into plants just like you. Thank you Heidi ❤️
YAY!!! Bernadette, I'm SO glad you've joined us for this next class!!! Excited for you! And, just....wow! An aloe pup sells for $19???? That's great if you're selling them!!!

Oh my goodness, you are so blessed with such an amazing view. I did not know you were in North Idaho. I now live in Massachusetts but am from just north of you in British Columbia on Kootenay Lake. That region of the continent is like a little slice of heaven. Heidi, thank you dear lady for taking the time to share your wealth of information. I love the flavor of lemon balm and lemongrass. Is it possible to add lemon balm to a daily tea as I do with lemongrass? God Bless you and the beautiful light that you shine out in the world.
@@HeidiVillegas When I was a teen my mother would take me to Coeur d'Alene to find funky clothing in the little shops. I loved those precious adventures with her and seeing the U.S. Being in America was a wonder to me like children going to Disney. ENJOY & GOD BLESS!
Thanks so much for this! So excited to find you - and you're relatively close - I spend time in N.Idaho to see family so I'd love to visit - do you have tours?
I just learned what Pineapple Mint was (I thought it was another species of Chamomile)…Thank you 😊 I make a tea blend with Holy Basil, Elderberry, Rose, Ceylon Cinnamon, & Licorice 🌸🌿
For inflammation, I'd use rose as a supporting herb in different blends: teas, tinctures, etc. For topical use, I suggest combining roses and calendula and infusing in oil. You could also use arnica, depending on the type of inflammation. In fact, the type of inflammation will determine exactly what you decide to do with the rose petals and how to prepare them. :-)
@@HeidiVillegas thank you! I drink a tumeric and ginger tea daily because I have found it relieves the pain of carpal tunnel I developed after my last pregnancy and I thought that rose would be a nice addition! I have semi wild red roses in my front yard and I have made rose water with them in the past, but I wasn't aware of the additional medicinal properties! I am also currently pregnant, and I have noticed zero nausea or swelling since I drink that tea daily along with Ted raspberry leaf and stinging nettles
Hi, Diana! We do forage fresh St. John's wort in July of each year for students of Ditch the Drugstore and the Confident Herbalist Tribe, but other than that, no, we haven't added them to our shop. We just don't have the time (or help) to get the retail up and going, to be honest.

Hello Mz Heidi, where do you recommend to buy the essential oils in those big bottles that are not just affordable $$$ but quality. Please help🙏
Starwest Botanicals is where I buy mine for soaps and things like that.
I just tinctures 2 quarts of roses, and one quart of rose elixir.
Beautiful!!! Sounds just lovely!
Can you make a rose tincture to take for medicinal/anti-inflammatory purposes? What medium would you recommend?
