It's a damn shame there's no separate adjustment for the subwoofer. For a premium system, that's very cheap of them. Granted the sub is not in an enclosure and uses the trunk as the box ("free air" design). Having said that, the system does have a good amount of thump compared to the standard 6-speaker setup.
I like my grandmothers 2020 JBL sound system. its not very detailed or all that good but its loud, boomy, and fun. I do think I would rather have a two way, front and rear than a three way up front and a full range in the rear. Fantastic review as always.
You go to a Lexus dealer and get an ES300h with the Mark Levinson system instead. The JBL has bad crossover circuits. By the time you fix that, you'll have voided your warranty.
@@aluisious well that’s a shame and yeah I’m waiting for the new gen ES to come out there’s other reasons I’m interested in a Lexus, never gone that much money on a car before but hell you only live once I guess lol! Thanks for the tip my friend
You could soundproof the doors by adding a membrane. It drasticly improves sound in some cars that have bad issolation. I did that in my Jetta and it is night and day, the car feels more premium now, less vibrations, better punch from the woofers.
@@jonathanratliff4780Doors have holes in the metal inside the door for acces to the window and etc. But some manufacturers don't cover them up with solid materials with a good seal, instead just putting plastic film over it. That film moves and lets the speaker air/back wave out, which then cancels out the front wave making sound worse. Very car specific. If there's a gaping hole you would cover it with a aluminium sheet or plastic and sound deadener.
On a similar level as Accord/Civic Bose but good at different things. Accord has better base texture and details, but I find the JBL tuning to be more pleasant. I think Accord slightly wins but we are splitting hairs. Mazda wins by a lot. It's a proper entry level audiophile set up. No real complaint I can pick. The system is bright but that's adjustable.
@@lixiaochen6 This was very helpful, thank you so much! I’m trying to narrow down what my next vehicle purchase will be and a good sound system is a must have.
I'm still enjoying my AC Delco stereo - sorry, "sound system" in my 2019 Spark. It is so powerful it doesn't even require rear speakers! I'm so stoked when cruisin' in this orange demon, bro.
The system JBL and Camry does even begin to come close to the Mark Levinson audiophile system. Of course even the system upgrade the Lexus cost quite a bit but it’s definitely premium
The 2024 JBL system is absolute dogshit. I could hear that it was massively defective, so I played different frequencies and noted where the huge dips in response are, as well as white noise and recorded the result to analyze the spectrum. The two major problems I can quantify are HUGE dips in several places in the mid frequency range, and lots of weird spikes in the high frequency range that I take for effects of distortion. You can play any song with heavy bass, and the subwoofer will rattle. Then play Halo by Beyonce, and at volumes around 25, the tweeters will buzz when she is singing "halo." It's unforgivably bad. I have lots of nice speakers in my house, and a dedicated headphone amp and DAC for my computer, and I enjoyed the Bose system in my old Cadillac. I don't really listen to music in the Camry because it's depressing.
Interesting. I’m looking into both a Camry XSE Prem+ package and an Accord touring and as an audiophile seeing this comment definitely helped my research lol
@@aluisious $48,000 is the average new car price 2024. $40,000 barely buys you a strip down new Tacoma… I would suggest a loaded new generation Camry at that price is a good value in today’s market.

Bass shaking the mirrors at the bass drop in 8:57 ❤❤❤
If weak speakers can make the mirros shake, it proves that the car's body is extremely flimsy.
It would be interesting to hear the base version of the Camry LE.
If you take requests, would like to see a review of the 2024 Audi A3 with the SONOS audio system. Great video!

Interested to see how the 6 speaker stock setup compares
No subwoofer. It depends on how important the thump is.
JBL always derliver, excellent sound system.
If I get new gen Camry with JBL, and I want to improve sound quality, what do I change / add Charlie? Thx!

Cant wait for fully loaded Camry XLEs to be S-Tier soon
I have Camry 2025, it feels like there is no sound from speakers in the back doors, how I can change the settings ?
Yay. FInally.
I test drove the new Camry and was disappointed with this JBL system. The 6 speaker JBL system in my 2009 Camry hybrid is better.
What’s the name of the instrumental in the beginning, intro???
2025 Toyota Camry jbl (9speaker) or 2025 honda civic boss(12 speaker), which one sounds better? Please reply
I own the 25 Camry XLE with JBL & I test drove the 25 civic with the Bose & the Bose is the clear winner!
Hello! What is your opinion about this system against Accord Touring? Bass?
Accord Bose sounds way better. I tested both before buying 25 Camry XLE
How does this compare to the Bose in the Accord, Civic, and Mazda3?
