Why don't common sense people like this get the backing to run for office? From what I know Wesley Clark and Al Haig were the last ex-military men to run for President and they didn't get very far.Instead you get draft dodgers like George Dubbya and the laughable trump.

Today I got out of bed and tomorrow I will drag my painful body out of bed again because if for even 1 day tell my gazillion doctors and physical, speech, neurologists that I don't want to i will have dishonored the incredibly hard work they have done to keep me alive. Bless you admiral. Thank you for swimming under water for 2 miles in the dark to complete a mission that kept me safe enough to be able to complain about crawling out of bed today to relearn how to tie my shoes and brush my teeth on my own.

As I was watching this he seemed familiar. Checking his biography I discovered why he was familiar. We graduated and were commissioned as Naval Officers at UT Austin in May 1977. We spent 4 years as Navy ROTC classmates. Strange that after 43 years my memory recognized the older face and not the name.

Sorry I'm not familiar with the U.S officer schooling system, but does this mean that you spent an additional four years in Navy ROTC after graduating from UT Austin? I thought you go to Officer Candidate School if you've graduated college and become an officer in that way. Btw how does the selection work for the SEAL officers? Can you apply for SEAL training right after ROTC or OCD or do you have to have a few years of experience as an officer before applying?

This video is truly an inspiration to me. Before watching this video I was feeling depressed being an Indian in Australia trying my best in these hard times to survive but guess what now I feel even more motivated. Soldiers, no matter which country they belong are the true heroes of our life. Salute to you sir for a wonderful speech. God bless India, America, whole world :)

On the other hand it encourages people to work like a slave all their lives and to think it acceptable to lose everything and then die at the end of life - in a state of war. We are conditioned to think that war is a natural and intelligent state of being that only the fight is worth it but the worth depends upon the end not the intrinsic struggle.
The same lie resides in the axiom 'adversity is the mother of invention' but the truth is that nothing is invented within adversity because adversity precludes it. Inventions occurs in peace time even in the midst of conflict. Peace is often achieved by isolation.
The fear generated by the need for defence turns into justification for perpetual attack so that civilisation becomes determined by war. The origin of divine right to rule might actually be determined by reason not might.
Primitive fear divides people and is used to divide and rule, which is ultimately self-defeating.

One of the few videos I've watched over and over. Everytime I feel lost in life I lookup this video to find hope. To anyone going through a tough moment in life, do not fret - YOU GOT THIS!

We got this. Remember there are many more people like you like us wether you know them or not we're out here.Do it for yourself do it for us or your loved ones, bottom line do it! My grandmother told me while she was dying in the hospital it's never too late to do something until you don't.
