    What a coincidence.. Tomorrow our group will be having game night for the first time in 2 years, and Telestrations is our favourite game!
    You'd think you won't forget any rules for such a simple game that we've played so many times. But apparently I totally forget about the odd-even number of players! You're such a lifesaver ❤️

    Well, I am in trouble because I never really have four in the same room. But I have been wondering about this game for a long time. So I was glad to see your outstanding video!

    Oh, I love this game... But did you know that here in Belgium we only have a version that goes up to 8 players? I hope to play a 12 player game some day. It's just awesome to see some results and get anecdotes that last for years.

    This is a game that it doesn’t even feel like it needs much in the way of scoring, much like Apples to Apples. Just a way to bust up laughing with friends

    Our Game Night usually has as many as 20 Players show up. Would you suggest just buying two Telestrations 12 player games and expanding one circle to 20 people? Could be a few more or a few less. All adults, mostly retired.

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed  2 роки тому

      I certainly think that could work. You would just keep passing until players ran out of pages and then reveal.

    "Games that were only covered because of a sponsor" for 200
    I know it's a necessary evil, but I don't remember the last non-sponsored HTP and I'd love to see COIN games (something Rodney's actually passionate about)

      Alex, this is my full time job - all of my tutorials have been sponsored for years. Why are you taking a shot at Telestrations? This is a fantastic party game and a family favorite. Yes it’s sponsored (like all of them are), but I only pick games I want to feature. I was also sponsored to do a live teach and play of Cuba Libre on Twitch which you can watch, if that game is more to your liking, but try to avoid being cynical about the game choices just because they don’t suit your tastes.

    • @Gafweebo
      @Gafweebo 2 роки тому +1

      @@WatchItPlayed I didn't mean to come off as cynical, it just struck me as a mass market "Walmart game" that everyone knows how to play already, I have no problems with Telestrations, it's fun!
      If you're still picking the games you really want to feature and you're not tied into some kind of obligation to do these, I apologize and retract my comment about sponsorships, I don't really have a full idea how corporate sponsorships work.
      Maybe I am too cynical though!

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed  2 роки тому +3

      @@Gafweebo I think that's something that seasoned gamers forget... not everyone knows how to play Telestrations. Many will have never even heard of it. I think from having done this for 10 years I have a heightened awareness that many games we might take as simple, seem overwhelming complex to people brand new to the hobby. You would probably be surprised by the comments I get on videos for very simple games, that have many people commenting because they found the rules "so complex". I don't take anything for granted in that regard anymore.
      It makes me especially thankful to be able to have publishers willing to support my efforts to cover all sorts of games, sometimes especially these ones, that might be dismissed as "not needing a video". From the beginning of the channel, to this day I never feature a game I don't want to. I just happen to have very broad tastes, and have an interest in helping people from all spectrums of the hobby. Over the course of any given year, you should hopefully find a mix of very light to quite heavy games well represented, though most will likely fall somewhere in that middle ground.

    • @Gafweebo
      @Gafweebo 2 роки тому +4

      @@WatchItPlayed You're right, I've absolutely taken my years of learning hundreds of games for granted. Thanks for the perspective, you didn't have to take the time to engage with my admittedly misinformed comment, but you did and that's part of what makes your channel one of the best!
