  • ECHO Everton reporter Chris Beesley joins colleague Paul Wheelock for the latest edition of the Royal Blue podcast as the pair preview the trip to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal. The Blues’ only success at the north London venue came behind closed doors so their record away to the Gunners comes under scrutiny, along with both sides’ record this season from set-pieces, the balance of the team with Iliman Ndiaye switched to the right wing, Harrison Armstrong’s progress and the proposed takeover deal by the Friedkin Group which manager Sean Dyche said is looking “very possible.”

    Lads Dyche never said “Ndiaye can’t play number 10” he said “there’s no evidence to suggest he should be playing number 10”
    Also he barely played as an attacking midfielder for Sheff U, in his best ever season only 11% of his minutes came in the 10 role, he played most of his minutes alongside a big man up top.

    Lads it’s not psychological why we struggle to score goals, it’s been smacking us in the face for years.
    We’ve got a striker who averages 5 goals a season with fans in stadiums, his goal scoring ability is similar to Maupay.
    If Forest had a front 3 of DCL McNeil and Ndiaye they’d struggle for goals too.

    People need to accept Harrison is just pony, he’s completely finished at this level.
    Both of Leeds’ seasons since getting relegated they’ve had better wingers than Harrison even while being a championship team.
    Just like Kalvin Phillips he’s a shadow of his former self and he’s been ruined by injuries.
