I had the opportunity to interview Alex Hill after winning the Olympic 4- Gold medal. We discussed this race and that little look he took not long after the start, was genuine concern as to how quickly the Romanian 8 had gone out of the start. A great effort to row them down. I would love the Australians to throw all their efforts int boating the fastest eight they can (and knock off the Kiwi's).

Alex hill is just next level so smooth so powerful
Australians were more efficient with their technique and did a phenomenal job staying within distance while saving power for that final sprint
