I'm not really fond of multiband comp mix knob. I do full on no mix because band filters isn't linear phase and they phase cancels some frequencies and it jumps out too much for me.
I would have to check other MB compressors but the FL Studio factory one actually has an option to switch to "linear phase". That being said... I just realized you meant the serum one so nvm haha

Yes, knowing music theory helps. You don't need to know the complicated stuff, just know your basic scales like major, minor and maybe some like harmonic minor, phrygian mode or some other mode of a scale. But really I would say minor is the most important in electronic music.
ARTFX id like to add - modes like phrigian (minor and major themselves are modes) is simply looking at one note from scale as your home note. E phrigian is simply the same as Cmaj but looking at E as home.
don't know why but the audio (when you talk) sounds a bit like a 128kbit/s MP3 maybe you're exporting to a format that youtube needs to reconvert when you upload it? Only when you feed youtube with files in the formats it uses the conversion is skipped.
Yeah I noticed that but not sure what causes it. It's recording 192kbps audio and also tried 320 but no difference. It's not UA-cam it's in the actual recording. I'll play around a bit more and see if I can fix it.

I've never done that specifically but I'm assuming you drag and drop the file onto the waverable

Yeah that's true, it completely changes the vibe though, those 1 semitone intervals work great in darker music.

maybe try good old Audacity for recording the audio, it sure won't screw around.
Yeah I will probably try recording the audio seperate next video. Still would be better if I can fix Streamlabs OBS though...
