I just installed my cpp tilt. Something this video should have mentioned is that if you have a 67 or 68 your steering column is one solid shaft and will need a lower shaft to make it work. Showing the removal would’ve been nice too.
Thank you for the feedback!
Im thinking of this column for my 67, what else did you need to get it installed?
Thank you
Are your steering columns still being shipped in the protective hard case?
everything looks perfect except I wish there was an option for have used the horseshoe wiring plug instead of needing the adapter. We needed them when stuffing van tilts in, but not needing the adapter on this new piece would have been great. Regardless a minor complaint, good job.
Sadly, the hard case is a must to cope with the troglodytes in shipping these days - the old triple wall cardboard doesn't protect against the slackers from being absorbed by whatevers on their smart phone as the conveyor belt loading the plane goes unobserved and a half dozen shipments fall to the tarmac. I am SO glad about this case: good assurance to the buyer of arriving intact, which no doubt saves a couple bucks from other damage claims landing in the purchase price. Good job, CPP!!!
I just installed today on my gmc 70 stepside but the the on the shifter get stock when we put it in when we take off we can change from.park to A Drive what can we wrong the pin?
What is the part number for a shorter shift lever you mentioned?
I have a 1973 Buick Centurion, do you have a steering column that fits that?
Interested to know what length column you used in this video as it sits closer to the dash which is what im after.
Cpp offers a 67-72 steering column that is 1.5 inches shorter so you have more room in the cab
@@edwardfoss6859 Thanks
Just wondering when these steering columns were changed to premium columns? In the past they were known to have problems and I’m not sure if the quality has changed . If someone could let me know I’m not sure if I should purchase one , don’t want any problems.
Thanks
Hi Jerry, any steering column with a part number starting with "DC" is one of our Premium Columns. Our old columns were intended to be extremely affordable and as such, they were lower in quality compared to other more expensive options. These new Premium columns were completely redesigned with build quality as good as the competition but still available at a pretty reasonable price. If you have any other questions about our columns, give us a call at (866)-882-4131 and one of our sales reps will be happy to help.
Thanks for the info ! Should be great in my C10
Will this tilt column stick out past the dash further than the stock steering column? If it does, does the 1.5 inch shorter column fix that? Thx
We have two columns: one that is the same length as the original and one that is 1.5" shorter. So no, this one won't stick out further. You can check out this video for more info: ua-cam.com/video/fs4GeKUq5lw/v-deo.html or give us a call and talk to a sales rep at (866)-882-4131

How does this unit come apart? I need to get the turn signal switch out but the black shroud around the upper section of the column has a flange that won’t allow the switch to be removed once the three screws are out. How does that black upper shroud come off? Thank you.
I just replaced my switch, it will come out using thin small screwdriver. Mine went bad and would make turn signal come on front when brakes were pressed. I bought replacement from TRQ on Amazon and new one fits also snug, but lights work as they should now.
