All the Caddy sedans are underrated. They are agile and very competent sports sedans with more space and power and features for the price. These are great cars.
Soyfan of Redline reviews refers to the interior as “cheaper” and not on the level of German competitors that are $20k-$35k more in price but not much more in luxury. Then he claims the $2k price increase compared to the pre-refresh models is price gouging. At some point biased reviewers will play a role in the perception of models as well. Platforms with heavy influence, like Redline and Cars & Confections. Grateful for the latter and more unbiased channels still around. I agree, no matter what the media says these vehicles are hidden gems. Sold quite well but still underrated. The perfect CTS successor, imo.

Nice review as always. After watching a few reviews of the CT5, I always smile a little when seeing them on the road. They seem like really nice cars. And its nice that they haven't axed their sedans.
The new Caddies are absolutely unrated and amazing drives! If you haven't driven one, I strongly suggest you do so. Caddy is giving ICE the absolute best send out!
I have to get one negative review of this or the blackwing. Even the high price tag of the blackwing I’ve heard no one complain about because how good it is. Amazing
About a year ago, I traded in my C6 GS and Fiesta ST for a 2019 CTS Luxury AWD 2.0T. (And got some money back.) The CTS has been the best all-around car I have owned. There are a few things that I really prefer on the CTS vs. the CT5. The pre-2025 CT5 screens looked tacked on, the sunroof cuts more into rear headroom, lost the very useful rear seat pass-through and I really don’t like the kink by the rear window. I thought I would be happy enough with the 268 hp 2.0L Turbo, but then I drove a 2017 Maserati Ghibli S (404 hp - RWD) two months ago (at the same Cadillac dealership where I bought the CTS). The ZF 8HP70 in the Maserati is definitely the best automatic transmission I have ever driven. So now I have a CTS and a Ghibli for about $30,000 less than a new CT5-V.
5.21 seconds? The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.6 to 3.4 seconds, depending on the model: CT5-V The CT5-V has a 360-horsepower V-Series engine and can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.6 seconds. CT5-V Blackwing The CT5-V Blackwing has a 668-horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine and can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3.4 seconds. It also has a top speed of over 200 miles per hour.
It’s a good car but I think Cadillac really misses an opportunity with the black plastic fake window trim. Instead of black plastic it could be some cool material, maybe with some options to match body color or wheels or choose a texture. It could be a signature touch instead of just cheap looking
I have a 2033 X4 M4OI, I don't buy nothing I can't test drive. When I was looking for a new sport sedan I had factors 1 price 2 AWD 3 over 300 horsepower. I wanted AWD because I wanted a daily. That narrow it down 2 cars and Audi S5 and the BMW M4OI. Yes, I went to an Audi dealership first because they had an S5 on the lot. Their salespeople cost them the sale. If you don't go outside and talk to a customer, you aren't going to sale a car. When I bought my X4 the dealership didn't have any M340i on the lot, but my X4 was. And that dealership can thank the young salesman who was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the vehicle he was selling for that sale. Once you drive an M series, there aren't too many cars that can compete with them. Now, I actually like the looks of the Cadillac CT5V. A blackwing isn't an option, not AWD. There are no Cadillac dealership near me that are big enough to actually have one their lot. That car would really have to impress me. To consider it over a BMW.
@ both look good but I might slightly prefer the old. I think the screens in cars are almost getting too large now. New one might have some better materials but I have not seen it in person.
Out of all the full size sporty sedans out there, 90% of them are ugly as hell lol. This and the S6/ S7 are the only ones left that are good proper sedans. I would totally choose this over all the competition, Cadillac nailed this car.
You must don’t drive a lot or never experienced driver’s fatigue. This car is beautiful but for 70k I don’t think I can justify it. First off this car doesn’t deserve to have the V badging. It gets beat by all its competitors. You have m340, s5, scat pack, even g70s beating this thing. This car is only beating the base models of every other competitor which is sad to say and it’s the 2nd to the highest trim (blackwing). This is a disappointment to the “v”. This is more a a sport model not a “v”.

Yea but they also dropped the weight of the CT5,the CT5 is much lighter then the CTS V Sport. Also the 0-60 for the CT5 V is 4.6 seconds and the CTS V Sport 0-60 is 4.4 seconds so not much difference since the weight was dropped it kinda evens out.
